So, I guess we get the lower of the picks for him.   Oh well... better than getting absolutely nothing for him.

Steelers got their CB

The Steelers just signed Desmond King so they might not want a corner for their punter.

I hope its for Pressley Harvin since he could also play LB. Steelers have him listed at 6ft 255lbs... https://www.steelers.com/team/players-roster/pressley-harvin-iii/

I'm honestly stunned the Eagles got a 5 for Reagor.

The only player Howie would trade for a punter is a guy he would be about to cut if they signed a punter

I'm fine with OZ as the punt returner.

Howie has swindled the Vikings a couple times now.   Getting a first for Bradford was highway robbery.

He let Justin Jefferson slip to them so they are way ahead on that front.  But we do always beat them when it counts so ultimately we're ahead

You have not heard of SCTV before?

Yes, probably before you did. I watched the show regularly in the seventies. I loved John Candy. That still doesn’t explain why they had him wearing a Lou Gehrig jersey while portraying Babe Ruth.

Not worth arguing about. It was just a quick observation.

Totally different than a trade.  The Eagles' incompetencies in drafting at WR is well documented.  Davonta Smith stands as an anomaly over the last 15 years.

Yes, but that's a stupid term.  Is there an offensive corner?  They are on an island with that abbreviation.  And I don't even think it has an historical context.

It does (have historical content). Pretty sure that BLESTO or National (or both) used that abbreviation. Pretty sure they’re just borrowing from that.

My guess is that since a safety is often referred to as a defensive back. In that jargon it clarifies the players position on the field by either being back, or corner. Defensive back, and defensive corner. In that scenario, saying corner back only makes it more confusing.

He was awful as a PR last year.

DB is an umbrella term for anyone in the defensive backfield in the same way that OL and DL are umbrella terms for anyone on either line. I've never seen it exclusively used for safeties.

I still don't like it.  CB or S - if you can cross train then you are a DB.   DC is just odd to me.

But, I appreciate the education.

Sometimes I notice CBs listed as DB and CB still as CB. I never really paid much attention whether its the same source naming them that way though.

not education. Just a guess on my part. I agree with you though.

I don't like the new Rams logo... reminds me of the Chargers too much and just cost me a square on Immaculate grid because I thought it was a Chargers logo, not a Rams logo.

Maybe some of the older fans like JR or Franklin among us can clarify, but I believe RB was also an umbrella term for the group of half backs, full backs, tail backs, slot backs, swing backs, etc. Over the years, as offenses evolved, and the passing game made most of them obsolete, RB essentially became synonymous what was most closely associated with a half back.

I just find it funny that you feel the need to post an off topic emoji in this thread

Im pretty sure the Rams had theirs first. Might have beat SD by like a day when both teams unveiled their new looks.
