Daryl morey is running trade negotiations for the colts?

It's certainly a bold move to publicly say that your star RB isn't worth anymore than what he's currently being paid, and then turn around and ask for players who are worth significantly more in today's NFL

Price will come down eventually. Around the deadline Ballard will ask for only AJ.

The Colts: We won’t pay top dollar for a running back, but you should trade us a WR who will command a $100M contract.

Let him cook.

Steeler fans are delusional thinking they get anything valuable for a journeyman punter. He was just waived a couple months ago and Jets fans despised him. If it's not gonna be Punt God, the best 2 with growth potential and have shown flashes already would be Gillikin and Chrisman.

Irsay is such a tool

I've been assuming all along that the deadline for waiver claims is noon. (Or is it one o'clock?) How could there be announcements already concerning the Bears, who don't even hold the first spot in the claiming order? What am I missing here?

I'm not trading Pitt anything for a punter

Yup, Steelers thinking they're going to pull one over on teams keeping two Punters...😒

I can't imagine Howie would be dumb enough to bite

Some speculated the Eagles could sign him. They didn't claim him, so the Eagles didn't have interest seemingly.

How do we know that the Eagles placed a waiver claim on a player that was claimed by another team that has a higher waiver wire position than the Eagles have?

Yup I'd rather bring siposs back...

Bears do hold the first spot.

They traded the #1 draft pick because they already have Fields, and they got that pick only because Lovie Smith and the Texans won Week 18 last year. But that means they still hold #1 priority in waiver order.

Only if it leaks somehow, like it did last year about Kellen Mond. I highly doubt the league would make that public.

Eagles should know Gillikin well as they faced him the last 2 years and performed really well in both games. Pinned them in good last year when Saints won. He shanks a few, but his ceiling is higher than any these other guys. Had a great rookie year. Saints fans are mostly not liking this move. Hedley is older and unproven.

Yup. That was just me being silly. The Texans had had that spot all year long and I had forgotten about week 18. I guess because the Bears didn't actually make the first pick of the draft, it continued to slip my mind.

Just to be clear. You're okay with a punter shanking a few as long as it's not Siposs. That certainly makes a lot of sense.

Slot has been a receiver position since I’ve been watching football and that’s what I meant.

But I think he meant it used to be considered a "slot back” position at some point and then evolved to a receiver position.

Wing Back has been a regular position over time, but Slot Back hasn’t (to the best of my knowledge) been.  Half Backs, Full Backs, Tail Backs,Wing Backs, and Running Backs have all been put into motion that ended up in the location of the Slot when the ball was snapped, but that’s as close as things have gotten.

The Eagles didn't place a waiver claim. He was released not waived so anyone could have signed him.

Well that's confusing phrasing. Is he suggesting he'll be on the Practice Squad?

Very confusing. I doubt anyone will snipe him from our PS so he will just get elevated each game most likely.

Terrible tense work.

All punters have a few shanks. Siposs does it often and at the worse time. At least, he had 1 really good year and can punt from his own 10 yard line without giving it away. You have a prayer with him. Siposs is like an easy out in baseball. 😉
