They should put Jordan Davis over top of him to just hit him coming off the line.

We've been sorely lacking in freakbeast posts, so I appreciate the effort

Taysom Hill looks like the best player on the Saints offense.

I like it but black is overdone.  I would rather they incorporate the silver.  The white one looks great.

I understand that Rojas is an elite defensive CF, but dude is so overmatched at the plate it's hard to watch.  I don't really have a solution.  Just complaining about nothing.

You'd just assume that something Zach G said in the Hangover would be right.  Turns out it isn't,  who knew?

You probably could get away with Kyle Schwarber playing left field in cbp. It’s not ideal, but it’s more feasible to get away with it. It’s still a lot of ground cover but it’s nowhere close to what Arizona. You can’t take Rojas out especially if you have Schwarber playing left field in Arizona.

I initially thought if they got to the World Series and rhyd is on the roster, he would just be a right handed pinch hitter. The more I think about it because of how left field is in Philadelphia and how left field if they playethe Astros, there’s a chance that Kyle Schwarber‘s gonna play left field and Brandon marsh plays center and you’re going to have Rhys Hoskins as the DH for a couple of those games.

It’s simple. Marsh CF Sosa LF

Pache in left, move Marsh to center. Keeps Kyle out of the outfield, and not a huge drop in overall outfield defense. And Pache gives you far more at the 9 hole than Rojas. He looks like if it was on a tee he would still have trouble.

Pache is not un upgrade from Rojas offensively and you lose a little defensively

For this series? That could potentially work but pache hasn’t hit the ball well since he’s return from his injury at the end of august. If pache was hitting like he was prior to the injury it makes sense. If you get to the World Series there’s a good chance Rhys is on the roster. I much rather have Rhys as my DH and try to survive with schwarber in LF if it’s houston. Both houston and Philly have short porches in LF. Still not ideal but more manageable

I'd be more inclined to move the light-hitting #4 and 5 hitters down the lineup.  If ARI has two free outs hitting behind Harper, he shouldn't see a hittable pitch the rest of the series.

Stubborn Topper. Hope it doesn't come back to bite them. His stubbornness did last year in the World Series.

Can Hoskins even run the bases? They've said he looked good hitting but haven't seen any updates on how he looked running.

I've assumed from the beginning that if he makes the World Series roster it would be in place of Jake Cave as a guy you bring in to pinch hit in a crucial AB in a critical game with bases loaded or something where you're trailing and pull Rojas for Hoskins and take your chances. I never actually thought he'd be really to play and hit everyday.

Yeah, they said he was running the bases after hitting. He wasn’t ready for this series But he would probably be ready for the World Series. I think the reason why they didn’t put him  on the roster was because they probably thought they could win without him. I think against the Houston Astros or rangers you might need someone like hoskins.

Why on earth wouldnt you put castellanos behind harper?

A cardboard cutout is an improvement at the plate over Rojas. At least it might draw a walk.

They have a guy that can play LF at a high enough leve (Sosa) and Marsh can play CF at a high level.  And Sosa can hit.  Has 10 HR in less than 300 AB this year.

and Schwarber behind Castellanos.  Solve the issue of all the Phillies' HRs being solo HRs.  It's nutty to hit a HR hitter leadoff; I don't care how many walks he draws.

Completely forgot Sosa existed. That’s an even better option than Pache.

The more i think about it, the more confident I am that the Dbacks win this series. A game like last night typically sends this team into a prolonged slump.
