He had a brace on that knee

It was reported, but I didn't see a brace. Was it ever confirmed he actually had one? I'm wondering if that was a false report.

Coaches will always have more hesitation than fans (and media) to plug in talented rookies over seemingly incapable vets...usually, obviously, the professionals are right.  But that veteran safety blanket OFTEN causes coaches to overlook and underuse the younger upgrade sitting right on their bench.

Safety and RB are 2 of the most common positions to see that.  If a coach of a SB contending team with franchise Qb doesn't trust a young RB in pass protection, they'll never sniff the field.  If a DC doesn't trust a DB to line up or execute the right coverage, then Edmunds will take very snap over them.

Right. Brown also is a guy that doesn’t ply with varied speeds. He’s 100 mph all the time, and that makes his misfires even worse.

He was asked about the brace, but he didn’t really answer the question.

I’d be absolutely stunned if we traded for an outside corner. We’re tied to Bradberry and Slay and traded a future 3 for Ringo. You hate Jobe, and that’s fine, but he really hasn’t been bad.

Maybe we trade for a nickel though.

theyre not going to mess with the locker room implications of bringing in a starter this year. And they dont need 2 starters next year because we are probably fine with at least one of Ricks or Jobe starting.

I thought maybe  nickel corner was need but Roby seemingly solidified that and even though he didnt last a game, Scott shocked the world tonight. CB isnt happening.

S isnt a need at all.

DE, LB, RB are the needs right now.

Whatever it is, they have to put it on the injury report per NFL rules, so we'll find out soon.

If he practices through it, they won't disclose it.

Was an overhead shot that I definitely saw him wearing one

Is Hurts giving a press conference?

Well, braces are for stability, not general soreness, so could be a grade 1 MCL sprain. If it was grade 2 or 3 he definitely wouldn't be playing and an injury to the other ligaments and he'd definitely be out for a long time.

Man, overaction "This is a 10-7 team" bros had a bad night.

They were missing Achane and Waddle was not 100%, they lost a starting o-lineman as well

Achane was a big miss for them. Glad he didn't suit up.

wow. who the hell is Zack McPherson?

What's the post-season rule for alternate uniforms?  I read something that said 1 time in the post-season, excluding the Super Bowl, but I don't know if that's correct or not.

That Slay pick gave me visions of Eric Allen.

He reads the blog.

There's running slow and there's running with a bad knee that makes it look like you're holding in a dump.

Anybody notice how Dean did?

I just kept seeing visions of Roger Ruzek coming off the edge all night.

Seems to me that he's always a step late and chasing to catch ground.

Wonder when it happened and how long it's been going on because he's been running oddly all season and the turnovers too.
