He hasn't slowed down at all. He's the perfect addition I think, personally. Brown can learn from an all pro on the field and off. He's perfect I think, won't cost as much as Simmons would due to the age.

He wanted a new contract during the offseason. I think the TItans gave him some kind of adjustment. Not really sure where it stands past that.

Won't embed due NFL content but this is from the Top 100.  Byard was #34.  Looks like a helluva player

Byard was on last year of his deal IIRC. They got a safety to fill in and 2 later round picks for someone who was going to leave a lost Titans team this offseason. Looks like a fleece job but I see why the Titans made the move. Just surprised another team didn't offer more in a market lacking safeties.

I was pressing for this in August in here too. Really thought he was the perfect fit for this team and where we stand. Very happy with this trade.

If we can someone land a LB that can run and cover plus let Penny have a crack at playing I think that's the absolute perfect trifecta of what we need.

Before I forget.  The cable over here had some game highlights on earlier, and I noticed that the colours of the pants and socks are uniquely different from each other. Not sure if it was intended as a tribute, but once you see it, you can't unsee it

Had a feeling after last night they'd trade for a safety today or Tuesday. Howie didn't wait. Got maybe the best one on the trade market. Him or Simmons. People discussed him back during the offseason.

Wonder what the comp pick will be if he leaves and signs a decent deal elsewhere?
