Feeling good about the Phils tonight. Think they win 8-3.

Me if the Phillies lose 

I don't have a ton of emotions riding on this game because I think they get obliterated in the World Series even if they win tonight. I know sports doesn't always directly translate like this, but struggling to get by this Dbacks team in 7 games doesn't bode well for a red hot Rangers team that crushed the teams with two of the 3 best records in baseball and beat a dynastic team  and are just crushing the hell out of the ball. But I'm sure even with a win I'll somehow talk myself into believing they have a chance by Friday, but I wish I felt better about this team.

And for the record last season I felt much more fired up about the Phils. Had a much more magical feel to them for me last year than this team.

I know it doesn’t work like this, but the Phils crushed the Braves and would beat a team that crushed the Dodgers so that means they crushed the Braves and Dodgers if they win

Exactly.  People complain about them swinging for the fences and not playing enough "small ball” but quite frankly, this isn’t a "small ball” team.

 Granted they’re great at stealing bases and they can get people around to home playing small ball here and there but at the end of the day, this is a power hitting team from 1-8 and they win when they hit for power. 

I’m sure some of the chatter was in-game emotion, but for any of you that truly think Hurts is looking anything like Carson Wentz, you really need to start educating yourselves.

Side note:  check the winning pct around all of baseball for the team hitting more home runs than their opponent and the winning pct.  Then check it for the postseason... long story short ALL of baseball is HR or bust now.  The small ball stuff is for extra innings in the regular season or for tacking on in the playoffs.  In MLB today, if you don't hit the long ball, you don't win.  Strikeouts and home runs dominate.

One thing to note is that Smith was bulldozed on a route where Hurts had to scramble. The DB just ran him over. Apparently that didn't make the "refs are so biased against us" highlight reel put together by the Dolphins whiners.
