Just a reminder.  These were our 2020 Eagles (based on starts).

Amazing how much Howie has changed this team in 3 years, especially when you look at THAT depth chart.

it's purely political, ideological. That's where we are in the country, the demonization of opposite political sides is so strong that if they are on the other side, they are reprehensible, immoral and bad people.

And Malcom Jenkins epitomizes that with Jackson vs Brees.

Defending Drew Brees can also be tough.

Brees appeared in a video for gay conversion therapy. Wrong on all kinds of levels.

meh, it wasn't his place to be outraged for the Jewish community, that would be virtue signaling. The surest sign of virtue signaling is when you are more upset about something than the community it directly effects. He had energy for "black" causes and didn't have the same energy for other causes, though he did say it was wrong. I don't have an issue with the difference, but I'll stop talking about it, since this is skirting the political line too much.

Not defending him.

Yup.

Drafted the following impact players...Smith, Dickerson, Williams, Davis, Jurgens, Dean, Blankenship, Carter, Smith, Brown.

Drafted the following depth players...McPhearson, Gainwell, Tuipulotu, Jackson, Calcaterra, Steen, Ringo, Ojomo.

Signed the following free agents...Reddick, Bradberry.

Traded for AJ Brown, Swift, Byard.

(Yes, Blankenship was technically a free agent.  But it was still a result of the scouting/draft process.  So go away.)

Draft day 4 has been nice.

Howie went from drafting Marcus Smith, Derek Barnett, Andre Dilllard and Jalen Reagor in RD1 to Devonta Smith, Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter. What a glow-up.

@mattwill

Eagles 34

Commies 13

Bonus: Brandon Graham gets his first full sack of the year

I am starting to believe in Desai in the D.

All it took was drafting from the SEC!

@mattwill

Rolling with 31-17.   I know WFT plays us tough but I think we just outclass them this time.

The Fonz calls 5 Sackamundos.

@mattwill

30-0, I’m drinking the I just used the EMB's #1 Cliché and Washington’s Oline gets worse every week

Jalen Hurts no turnovers, because we run the ball for 150+ yards

Eagles 31

Commanders 10

5+ sacks

@mattwill

It's totally fine to draft from other conferences. Look at Cam Jurgens, Jalen Hurts (Big 12, yes he was at Bama before), Milton Williams, etc.

But if any evaluation is close, take the player from the best conference and/or best teams (Reagor vs. Jefferson).

Speaking of Reagor, he apparently is turning heads in NE and was called up to the active roster. Wouldn't that be some crap if he becomes a player for the Patriots? Highly unlikely but interesting to hear.

Derrick Burgess rule. Derrick Burgess was an old DE for us who went to the Raiders and led the league in sacks. But it doesn’t matter because he didn’t do that here. Once he’s off the team then that’s the finality.

I have no earthly idea how the PHLY Phillies crew is going to produce content 5 days a week for the next few months.

Today's Reagor talk feels like a PR campaign coming from Foxborough to me. He has 39 snaps with 1 catch for 11 yards this year. So I won't believe it before I actually see it and I doubt he's turned the corner suddenly.

Bold prediction.   Eagles-Washingteam games always seem to be close.

Yeah but Howell is psychologically broken, their Oline is giving up sacks at an history rate, theyve lost 4 of 5, and their best player just went public with the fact that he hates how nothing is being fixed and this feels like every other year of inadequacy. They’re teetering on the edge of collapse.

That's true.  My gut goes the other way.  Their best player going so public might light a fire under the others on the team to put in a top effort.  I just am always wary of divisional games.   They took us down on MNF last year when it seemed they had no shot in that game too.

I'm hoping Reagor can manage a career in the NFL.  Howie put him in a no-win situation here.  I admit he had some maturity issues.  But he should have been a day 2 pick without the high expectations and the shadow of Justin Jefferson.
