Give Jordan 10 snaps on 1st down and unleash Milton Williams and Jalen Carter.

It’s a ludicrous notion that the only way they can get a RT through the draft is top 10. That’s where they got one of their OL once. They can hit on a guy at the end of rd 1. That does happen

I don’t think anybody’s saying they only can take a tackle in the top 10 to find their OT. What I pointed out was picking in the late 20s it is much harder to find that type of guy and history of the last 13 draft shows that. Haven’t gone into a deeper dive but I’d bet there’s as many if not more OT in rounds 2-4 that turned out as good or better than ones from 2010-2022 in the 20s

My overall point from the beginning was you don’t have to use either first round picks in 2024 or 2025 to get your right tackle of the future. Stoutland might  identify a guy in the second or the third round or even the fourth round that he thinks has immense talent, and believes he  can develop and groom to eventually be the replacement. The theory one of the next two first round picks has to be OT is frankly bullcrap.

Love him or hate him, this is incredible. 6 weeks post surgery!

The parity isn't very good to watch; you can have exciting parity and bad parity.  This is bad parity.

Steelers aren't great, Pats aren't great, Ravens are inconsistent, Bronco stink, Cards and Colts are overall not talented tea,s. Bears are awful, Vikes not good, Seahawks are decent, Bills inconsistent, Giants and Commies are historically mediocre, Cowboys overrated, Chargers too inconsistent again, Rams are rebuilding, Panthers are bad, Texans quietly ascending, Saints just the same mediocrity. Jets are the Jets, etc

The Chiefs, Eagles, Whiners are a cut above.  Ratings may be good, but the overall product is not.

Parity is what the NFL is designed to accomplish. That's why there's a salary cap, revenue sharing, the worst teams get the highest draft picks, etc. It's the opposite of European soccer where none of that exists and the same 2 or 3 teams battle it out for the crown while all the rest don't have much of a chance (and typically are just trying to avoid relegation.)

Time for the weekly why the hell did they sign Penny and trade for Albert O questions!

Ha. Pretty sure Penny is washed. Didn't look great in limited chances. Didn't see any explosion or any wiggle. Sure they see him a ton in practice to know where he's at. Like to see more Boston Scott and less Kenny Gainwell. I know they don't play the Giants for awhile.. but still. Thinking that Albert O is gonna play before too long cuz Grant C. hasn't shown much.

Tin foil hat time. Makes you wonder what we are really capable of fixing/curing if there wasn't so much money involved. I do know we wouldn't have 3/4 of the commercials on TV.

Yeah that surgery he had to reattach his Achilles was real cheap, I bet. Let's pump the brakes before we head down the path that modern medicine isn't what fixed him, it was alternative medicine that did it.

Yep you're also talking about a unqiue HOF NFL QB athlete who obviously can heal better than most people who couldn't take hits from 300lb DL for 20 years. I don't think how Rodgers body responds to anything is indicative of how a normal person would

spending a first on a future RT wont be glamorous but its smart if you like a prospect

And then you stick him at RG or just learn RT

Parity doesn't guarantee a good product it just means that when there is a lack of quality (players, coaches, etc), that lack of quality gets spread out more evenly.  You can argue around the semantics of the system, but the current NFL product is not that good - the teams I listed off the top of my head show that.

Eagles 30 , Commies 3

I woke up today thinking it’s daylight savings time and took me until now to realize it was not.

The only thing that tipped me off was I went to change the time on the oven but it was correct.

I guess Europe does a full week earlier. What a silly, silly place.

Lane's replacement is not coming in the form of a draft pick in the 20s, I'd put money on that.  Let's look at their tackles and what the Eagles invested in them.

-Jason Peters was acquired for a 1st round pick.

-Lane Johnson was a top 5 draft pick

-Tra Thomas was the 11th pick in the draft

-Jon Runyan was a huge FA signing and changed the culture of the team

-Jordan Mailata was a 7th round pick (we all know they won't get that lucky again)

-Andre Dillard was picked at 22 (traded up for him too)

What this tells me is that unless the Eagles are in the top 10 again, they will look at other ways to bring in their next RT.

If there ever was a year for that to happen, this year is the most likely year because of the incredible depth of the top tier of OTs in this year's Draft.  But, as a general rule, I agree with you.

That is why I think Howie will be looking for trading partners for all three of his Draft spots this year.  Trading the 1st for a 2025 1st plus a lower pick this year.  Trading the 2nds for next year's 1sts  or even 2026 1sts.

"Good product" is probably going to be subjective based on the viewer. Some fans like it when there are a handful of more dominant teams so that they can see them duke it out when they eventually face each other. Other fans might enjoy more parity where the "any given Sunday" sentiment holds more true. I'm not really sure I have a preference now that I think about it, I just hope we beat whoever we face en route to another ring.

I’ll repeat what I said a few days ago; Desai should blitz frequently on 3rd down to confuse Howell.  Martindale brought pressure from lots of different defenders and Howell looked clueless on how to react.  Giants held WAS to 7 points.

Of course the Eagles can get pressure and sacks bringing 4 DL, but despite getting 5 sacks, Howell was able to put up consistent production and points.  Gotta confuse the rookie QB today

I would not be at all surprised to see Desai deploy the same game plan that he used against Miami.

PJ Walker starting more than game at QB says a lot.  Same as Tyson Bagent.

You can only beat what is in front of you yoy, so the "fallow" years are when better organised and/or coached teams can have sustained success. Apart from the Cowyboys who just do their own thing and remain consistently ok
