My guess is Brian Johnson has 1 more week before Sirianni makes a play calling change during the bye week. I just can't imagine a world where they actually go over the game film with him and say great job BJ, that's how you call a game.

We've beaten the Gainwell stuff to death but he needs to be taken out of the gameplan. There's no reason he should have 5 catches in a game.

The WR screens don't work.

The RZ running game is garbage. KG is not a short yardage back. It's just got to stop.

There's no excuse to take Swift out of the game for drives at a time.

Where are the TE seam passes?

Julio Jones proved he can be a mismatch. Find him a role.

Sirianni was a train wreck as a play caller. Who are we going to?

Time to grab Josey Jewell and Derrick Henry. Make the calls Howie.

Agreed. Lions will 100% get up for this.

Lions also have the Vikings twice on their schedule now, potentially without Kirk Cousins.

Lions schedule is super easy outside of like 4 games. Packers look awful. Bears are the bears. Cousins being out that’s going to be two wins. After the raiders is their bye. Their schedule the rest of the way is

at chargers

Vs. bears

vs. packers

At saints

at bears

Vs. Denver

at minnesota

at dallas

vs. minnesota

Really think they only lose potentially at chargers, at saints and at Dallas. The rest of those teams all stink if cousins is out long term.

Jalen run the fake.

Swift go down at the 1.

Jake kick the FG for the real fans.

Or... for the ones betting on the line.

I’ll do it!

I made a comment at the time, but I was worried some of that was just Miami's self-inflicted wounds more than anything else. Seems to have been the case to a degree after what we saw today.

I’m not too worried. Howell, Mclaurin, and Thomas always seem to put up fits for our defense. Divisional game all that. They’re always scrappy against us. Our defense did a legit good job against Miami last week. If our defense struggles multiple games against the other elite offenses like Dallas, KC, Buf & SF we’re about to face then I’ll be very worried about the playoffs.

Johnson is very clearly learning on the job, and the bye week will be a great chance to self scout for him and Siri. I wouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water just yet, but he does need to get a lot better and work on RZ and some of the running game  I don't think it's unsurmountable at this time

We narrowly escape Washington, Dallas wrecks the Rams. That momentum entering Sunday will be interesting

I don't believe in that momentum mattering.  NFL has always been week to week.  Eagles are going into the bye after Dallas... that could give them a reason to really lock in... or a reason to check out.  Hopefully this performance makes them lock in.

Fox post game just shredded the Titans for pretty much giving us Brown.

Kevin Patullo, but even he hasn't called plays.

Reality check, Howell was lights out, that happens, like his last TD pass, under pressure, perfect throw in a small window, now how often will he make that throw?

Eagles were without Davis and Carter most of the game, when Street is getting regular snaps, you know you're in trouble.

The secondary did not play well, but they're still checking name tags - it's hard to be a cohesive secondary when you keep changing people and half the guys out there barely know the defensive playbook.

Basically, get through Dallas, use the bye to get everyone on the same page, and kick some ass the last 8 games.

Yeah, it's a tough schedule but:  "Ye though I walk through the valley of death, I shall fear no evil, because I'm the meanest M****F****R in the valley."

That needs to be the Eagles' mantra.

By the way, Hurts showed he can be a decent pocket QB today. Like almost 400 yards, 4 TDs, 0 Ints, decent.

Can’t see this team checking out against Dallas at home

That was my biggest fear from immediately inserting Byard.  I wonder how much he ended up playing.  Im a huge believer in the secondary learning how to play together as being just as important as talent (within reason)

It was good to get him into the game before Dallas though.

Forever and always with this team.

I know others will disagree with me, but this is a cutable offense. Nobody should have their phone out from the time kick off happens until the end of the game except for if there’s a family emergency like child being born. The fact was he was not only on his phone, but it was more important to respond to people than focusing on the task at hand. There is no reason he should’ve been on his phone and furthermore respond to others on the phone. Fans are always going to comment. When you do something wrong you have to have thick skin and not say anything. Furthermore, you have to be a professional and not be on your telephone at half time looking for a fight. You should be focusing on what you’re gonna do in the second half to fix some of the issues that are going on. Not be on Instagram or Twitter trying to argue with Fans.

Yeah Dallas schedule coming up is cake while ours is murderers row. Next Sunday is a must win game.

They just have our number and they looked elite a few times this year already including today. I really am not confident whatsoever. If Davis & Carter aren't 100% I think we lose.

@mattwill

Dallas 38

Eagles 24

Hurts turns it over twice

I predict Jordan Hicks will be an Eagle in 48 hrs. I originally thought it would be Josey Jewell but then saw that Cousins tore his Achilles so I think they'll unload Hicks

The issues with the secondary are in part due to the ever changing cast in the Secondary. 8 different combinations this seasons leads to a lot of issues.

They absolutely need to get better and quickly, but hopefully, there will be a level of stability next week and through the bye week the coaches can reset a little.

This is what made the SB so frustrating. Had a completely healthy team with borderline All Pro talent at 3 spots in the secondary and Gannon wasn't able to scheme his way out of a paper bag.

100%. I don’t know if that’s real but if that is he’s done tomorrow if I’m Sirianni.

They can against terrible teams, but these next few weeks are going to be brutal

I think the eagles are the type of team that plays to their opponents. Against good teams we step up, against bad teams we step down.

These next 5 games are going to tell us a lot. If we can go 3-2 with wins against Dallas and San Francisco I like our chances.

The Eagles’ offense needs to clean up the red zone and silly mistakes like fumbles. We don’t need a new playcaller.
