In their last 2 games, the giants have been outscored 54-7

In their last 11 games including playoffs, they’re 3-7-1

This is not a playoff caliber team

Man that Cowboys defense looks good. They are always around the ball and don't seem to have the heads up their asses. Maybe we should've poached one of Quinn's assistants and change up this scheme.

The Giants also just kind of suck

This looks very Joe Judge

the coaching staff looked a little rusty too

See my post a few minutes ago. This is the first time the starters played with these new coordinators. A lot different calling the plays for starters versus Bill Belichick than it is 3rd string players against the Colts.

On field communication between coaches and players can't be underestimated and the preseason is a great way to work through kinks.

If Dean will be out for any length of time Howie has to male a move.

Dean could be totally fine and Howie still has to elevate Morrow.  They got caught with 2 linebackers, both of whom suck and are depth players, as their only options tonight.

You need to get a month into the season before Arizona/Houston/whoever else quits on the season and will send you their best LB on an expiring deal for a 3 or 4.

Did he walk off or get carted

Walked off but he was in a boot after the game.

He looked OK, but wouldn't call it good. His play was nothing special.

Disagree. He wasn't Carter but he was making plays.

Yup, Elliss

Penny could have helped there today. But why dress the bigger RB that would probably create some explosive plays in terrible weather?  Let’s start JAGwell instead.

This is a convo about power backs, not power bottoms. You and @Godfather need to stay in your lane

We all knew today was going going to be sloppy. Did anyone expect the Eagles to come out firing on all cylinders?

This is what drives me crazy about not playing the starters all preseason. It's the fact that they have two new coordinators and 4 new starters down the middle of the defense. You've GOT to get a feel for how communications and interactions are going to go during live gameplay.

At the very least, having the starters play in the preseason would give both the coordinators and the players the opportunity to get a feel for how things go. You really can't replicate the communication between the coaches and players during live game play in joint practice.

How does Brian Johnson call plays in through the headset when the clock is winding and the fans are cheering? Are he and Hurts on the same page in pressure situations?

Same goes for the defense. You have a brand new MLB with the green dot who's played all of what, 20 live snaps? How is he going to communicate with the defense when the crowd is up and the offense is in a hurry up?

You can't, I repeat you can't replicate live gameplay during joint practice.

They won, but the only thing encouraging about this game was Jake Elliott.

And Jalen Carter

Eh, yes they do. But Quinn does run a pretty nice defense that operates pretty smooth on all 3 levels.

Dean looked good before he got hurt at least.

I thought he was pretty bad outside of a few plays, but in reality he was probably...ok, compared to Cunningham.

Yeah, luck for them it's not the hardest part of the schedule. They cant play the 49ers or Chiefs with what they had today

Cowgirls looking good.

I mean, it’s not rocket science. When I take off for No Nut November, it takes me a few days to get back into the swing of things. I imagine it’s the same for players who don’t play in the preseason. 🤷‍♂️

Dominate already, kind of scary. Davis and him definitely feed off each other.

And not use Swift at all

Cowboys hate ITT only.

Carry on

OK, I don't want to be totally negative about today's game, so here are some things I liked. I'll post what I didn't like later.

- Jalen Carter is the real deal. I was wrong about him and not wanting to draft him but boy, the more he plays the better he's going to be. He's tenacious.

- Jordan Davis looked his best yet.

- Josh Sweat, despite the penalty, looks great off the edge. Big year for him coming up.

- Fletcher Cox can be a force in a limited role. If Desai uses him right, he could have a big year.

-Sydney Brown is going to be starting within a few weeks. Until then, he's a treat on ST.

- Jake Elliott hitting those kicks (despite the missed PAT) in that weather was damn impressive. Lucky to have him.

- Josh Jobe is a player.

Devonta Smith is a stud.

This is not a playoff caliber team

They are 0-5 (assuming this loss) vs Philly and Dallas in those 7 losses and they lost a close game to the Vikings who they later beat.

Have you seen the rest of the NFL?

The Giants probably are a playoff team, just not an 11-6 playoff team.

Cowgirls currently have the same score we did before things went south

Yeah, him shoving the WR out on the last play was great situational awareness
