Eagles are done. Expect a vet signing soon ala Suh/Joseph last year but that's about it.

Yeah think you're right on the money. I bet Howie made calls and tried though.

Thought you couldn't trade comp picks?

It's a loophole. They aren't trading a comp pick, they are trading a 4th with the condition it becomes a 3rd when they get one of the comp picks.

you can trade comp picks now anyway

49ers trying to conver up that garbage secondary with the D Line.

can't until they vest (March of that year's draft)

I still think it’s a rental. Aiyuk, Hufanga, greenlaw, ward and Armstead all are free agents at the end of 2024. Purdy also needs a new deal at the end of 2024 (assuming he’s their guy). If not they have to either pay someone or have draft picks to go get their guy. Unless they are planning on letting Armstead walk to sign young i tend to think chase is going to be a rental then get a comp pick back for him when he walks in free agency

Kenyan drake to the browns I guess

F the 9ers.

Chase Young is the real deal, and now he's on a scary D line out in SF.

If you want a bright side, here it is: the 49ers just traded a 3rd round pick for a guy who will likely only play 9 games for them.

The 9ers DL has not played well at all this season. Lots of big names but they are getting neutralized on the field.

Interesting. I read somewhere that the NFL changed the rules to put a stop to trades like this, but guess it was wrong.

That's why they couch it as a "conditional" pick. You can say you're trading your third but with a condition attached. And that condition is that when the comp picks are announced in March, it'll be one of those. And there is probably some clause in there that details what will happen if you don't get the comp pick you were expecting.

So Chase young will be a player the Eagles play 3 times this year....  we beat the team he was on 2 times already... lets give him a 3rd loss in a few weeks.

4 Times.

Let Chase Young be the first player to go 0-4 in a single season vs. the same team

Weird feeling Howie snatches Johnson from Da Bears in the last second. Need another Jalen on the team 😀 and I think Bradberry moves back to the slot to secure that postion. Not looking good on the outside lately. They liked Jalen previously and Howie has Bears on speed dial. Probably resigns him in offseason and we address an important long term need. Can focus draft on our lines...per the norm.

Howie had eyes on cheap or middling LB options. That much was in media circulation.

So it will be a comp pick. LOL - Ryan Poles should just resign already.

Wait... you can trade comp picks before they're even rewarded?

It just reminded me of that scene.

I know, just saying this specific scenario of calling it conditional but involving comp picks was supposedly closed, but that clearly was not good info. I think it was Kempski that said they closed this loophole this past offseason.

Stop with the Bradberry in the slot stuff... he cannot play in the slot. He's an off ball outside corner who's at this point struggling with that even. Quick fast archetypes give him major problems. He's better against the bigger WRs that can't run past him.

Fair enough. It was more than an appropriate levelled gif haha

I said this earlier, I don’t think it’s out of the question that next year they try again with Bradberry into the slot. They try to do that earlier this year. I think with more time and an off-season they might think at this stage of his career he could do it. Which means you can open up the outside for a deal and Johnson. he’d be a long-term solution for them at that position. Plus you have the kid from the Colts coming back that you can work into the rotation so you might be set at corner after 2024 doing that deal.

Can't trust this source.

He's just eliminating the 49ers because they traded for Young.

Any trade for Jaylon would have to include Bradberry going the other way.
