Vrabel is still hanging on.

Vrabel was at Ohio State, the Texans and Titans. He's not been tainted by the BB stank.

He’s the most overrated head coach in the history of the NFL. He lucked into having Brady, but his teams sucked before Brady and now they suck after Brady.

He is. AR has done it multiple times with different QBs, etc. Got a smidge lucky with Mahomes, but he adapted.

Stop Lamb we win

Problem is can we

Oh, you're right. Strange, I could've sworn he was on the pats staff as an assistant at one point.

Respectfully, I disagree.  This team has made it their trademark to win despite not stopping the other team's best weapon.  I think we can win and we can't stop Lamb.

If he was going to a team where he was expected to be THE guy, it wouldn't be a big move. He's going to a line with Nick Bosa, Javon Hargrave and Arik Armstead. I know the Eagles DL is legit, but who the hell are you double teaming on that line? Now granted, he's also coming from a stacked DL in Washington but he's going to the perfect situation where he isn't being depended on to be the guy.

The 49ers is loaded with talents on both sides of the ball.  Yes, they lost 3 games in a roll and falling back some.  It is still a team that could give our guys some problems.  Their DL has good players, including one of ours last season.  Their offense is pretty good too, though missing Deebo seems to derail them somewhat.  When they play the Eagles in couple of weeks, it would be the game to show which team is the power of NFC of this season.

@mattwill

Eagles 48  Dallas 13

Bonus:  Hurts 5 total TD

Cowboys have not been the same team on the road and outdoors on grass.

They have some really good players, but the Eagles have the better overall roster.

Losing at home would be disappointing to say the least.  I expect the Cowboys to play us very well in their stadium.  Can’t lose this one or they risk getting swept.  I couldn’t stomach that

The dline he is going to isn't any better than the one he just left. And we easily handled the one he just left. So not sure why there is a concern.

Not easily. We couldn’t run on them.

@mattwill

Eagles 27

Turds 20

Bonus: Swift > 100 yards.

I think the injury history for Young is the concern.

There's more than that.  Now that he's gone, I have heard people in Washington talking about 'addition by subtraction'. Apparently, Chase wasn't a very hard worker, was quite immature, freelanced a lot, and was very into his own stats vs. caring about whether the team won.  There are also concerns about whether the knee will hold up long-term or if he is going to miss significant time again in the near future.

We will see how this turns out, but it's possible that the Commanders actually fleeced the 49ers on this trade.

Most people assumed that Vrabel was a NE coach at some point, but he swerved it . He was around a lot of NE people in Houston (Crennel) which is where I think the confusion comes from.

In all honesty, I don't see him and BB getting along as coaches, even with Vrabel lower down the totem pole.

Eagles signed a TE to their PS. Me thinks Calcaterra is gonna get shut down.

Exactly. He’s made all sorts of QBs work. And I can’t call it "luck” with Mahomes when he traded up to get him in the first round. That’s targeting a guy you think can be the franchise.

Glad you feel that way. BTW, on the deep throw where Carter got credit for rushing the pass, it was Dean who got to the QB first.

Anyway, I appreciate your comment..

Yup I saw that

Dean was a good Blitzer in college and Georgia used him as such quite a bit.

Where he really struggled was in coverage, his lack of length really limits his ability to get in passing lanes.

The bigger issue though is when he's matched up against a WR, that should never happen And that's on DeSai

He’s not a pure descendent in the coaching tree, but he definitely has some BB in him after spending 10 or whatever years in the thick of the Patriot dynasty.

He’s like one of Robert Baratheon’s ****

I thought it was at about the 6 or 7 at first, and the shadows do make it difficult to see.  Running it at half speed helps some.

That was my problem at first. It looked like it landed at about the seven but when I looked at it multiple times it also looked like it might have landed around the ten. I just couldn't tell. And I was getting ridiculous HT numbers too, around 5.8. And I knew that couldn't be right. I eventually estimated it at around 5.45.

But I'm now going to go with the nine yard line and 5.40 and call it a day. That's probably accurate enough. Thanks to both of you.

And Bill O’Brien was the Texans HC the entire time he was there

He should really shut it down permanently. Guy is going to have scrambled eggs upstairs if he doesn't.

They knew he was good when most people didn't, but I don't think even the Chiefs could have foreseen quite how consistently prolific Mahomes has actually been!

Yup. O'Brien has had a career inside and outside of BB, so isn't quite so indoctrinated in the stupidity that comes to the fore in NE.

Figure Calc goes to IR if Jurgens moves to 53

TE factory!

@mattwill

Eagles 33

Cowboys 30

Jake with a game winning FG.

So Calcaterra, with his history of concussions, suffers a concussion and we immediately work out a TE. Feels like an IR stint is imminent.

No TE on the PS.  With Albert O practicing as the third TE, no one to fill that role on scout team.  Same reason they signed Noah Ellis. With Davis and Carter a bit hobbled and likely limited in practice, need another DT for practice.
