He's a weirdo that's for sure.

NFL coaches have adopted an "us vs them" mentality when conversing with the media.  It started with AR and Belichik, but it has been wildfire with the new generation.  The more condescending and tight-lipped they are, the more intelligent they perceive themselves to be.  Just look at Mike Mcdaniels.

I mean, they’re not wrong.

It was the end of the PC. He smiled and got up.  He didn't storm out of the room in the middle of the PC

That's not good.

Eh I don’t take anything from that. Seems like he’s just sick of people talking about it.

Fake news. It was the end of the PC and he jokingly got up and left after someone asked a final question about the knee. Definitely not a "weird scene".

Speaking of past Raiders GMs, I'm surprised Mike Mayock hasn't resurfaced on TV yet. I always loved his work on the draft and looked forward to all of his coverage. Was hoping he would turn back on on one of the networks making it somewhat worthwhile to watch.

Kind of hard to go back and be a "draft expert" when you had one of the worst ones in recent memory...

That's what they want you to THINK happened.  Here's footage from his actual reaction when asked about it

Yeah they ran a couple different looks off it last year, including a toss that went for a 1st (similar to the sweep the other day).  My point is, he discussed strategy about plays he intends to run, regardless of whether he ran them previously or not.  The play has got a lot more attention this year.  He's become cocky about it, shouting in the camera challenging to stop it, and now that it's got more media attention he said a couple times this year that he plans different looks off it. I don't remember the specifics but there have been a couple other times in press conferences this year where he's stopped himself and said he's giving away too much strategy so even he acknowledged that.

I think you are putting too much weight on the PCs.  I've yet to hear anything remotely note worthy in his PCs.

He said he wasn't going to talk about it... so he gave them a demonstration.    I applaud that.  He low key answered the question.

Cowboys have the least convincing 5-2 record in all of football.  Their wins: Giants, Jets, Patriots, Chargers, Rams.  Their losses: Cardinals, 49ers.  The only halfway decent team they've played was the 49ers, and they were destroyed in that game.  I have a feeling we come away with a convincing win here.

Cowboys - 17

Eagles - 28

Bonus: Byard INT and he celebrates on the star.

OK, that's not bad.  I was a little worried for a minute.

Siri has been very direct that they are going to give non answers about injuries… ask different questions.

I never said the flipped a table and stormed off. He was asked a question, didn't give an answer and got up and left. It's a weird scene, IMO. I said he "walked off because he was asked a question about his knee" which he did.

I understand he doesn't want to talk about it. I understand Nick doesn't want him to talk about it. He's still going to be asked about it since he was limping all over the field Sunday. And he's now a $250M QB. The questions are never going to stop.

@mattwill

Cowboys 35

Eagles 27

At some point something has to give. They can't keep playing like they do in the first half of these games and continue to win. The defense showed up first half of the Miami game but offense was nonexistent, maybe that will be enough for Sunday but I don't think so.

Prediction: Defense gets 3 sacks

It wasn't a weird scene though. It was at the end of the press conference, he had already been there for ten minutes giving answers to other questions, he's already said that he's not talking about the knee, and the journalist who asked the question knew he most likely wasn't going to get an answer and laughed at the end when he got up and said "Was worth a shot". It was a playful, joking exchange.

Here is Sielski saying it was always supposed to be the last question of the PC

Game is in Philly, so if you hit that prediction you win the bonus for the year

I wouldn’t consider it a big deal, but it was not playful and joking.

It was very matter of fact.

@mattwill

Eagles 41

Cowgirls 23

BONUS: Julio with another redzone TD.
