Eagles 37

turds 27

Bonus: With Jurgens coming back I'm expecting a big game from Swift with over 120 yards on the ground.

The Eagles would have won their last match up if they didn't have a complete meltdown by turning the ball over 2 times with less than 5 mins in the 4th.

Good idea to trade your two best defensive players for draft picks before hiring a great defensive mind who sucks at drafting

Yeah, but not if he's just the head coach.

Dak has had his way with our defense the past 5 years.... Can Hurts and Co keep pace and out score the Dallas D?

I see this as a game if the Cowboys score more than 34, they will win. The target this week is to keep them below 30.... if the birds do that, they have a good shot.

How confident are we our Defense finally has a plan?

Just to revisit, briefly, the flurry about Dean. I note that Cunningham had 51 snaps with three tackles and two assists. Dean had fifty snaps, with eleven tackles, two assists, and two tackles for losses. Morrow had 27 snaps and no tackles, in fact, no anything in the gamebook.

Why the heck are the coaches being so stubbornly supportive of playing Gainwell.

He's been horrid, no way around it.

Out of 39 RB with at least 50 carries he ranks 39th.

Yards after contact 39th

Pass blocking 33

Yards/ route 31

39th in success rate

And 42nd out of 45 In yards over expected per attempt.

Those are all horrendously bad numbers.

I've been told by others that he's the eagles best pass blocker and if 33rd is the best that's sad.

I'm not sure why Siri is so hell bent on not just defending him but continuing to give him the ball.

Siri said we don't see what Kenny does in practice and that's true but I've seen enough of what he's done in actual games to know I don't want to see more

Free Boston Scott.

Also, yikes Miles.

Miles Sanders looking like we thought he would when he doesn't get to run behind this line

Yup. And look whose right next to him with this o line, Kenny G.

Again why the heck is Kenny G playing.

Also Swift right near the top💪

Good news

byard has three picks lifetime against Dak.

bad news

Among quarterbacks who’ve started at least 10 career games against the Eagles, Prescott’s .727 winning percentage is 4th-highest all-time – behind Roger Staubach (14-3, .824), Sonny Jurgensen (12-3, .800) and Y.A. Tittle (8-2, .800). That makes it the highest in the last 40 years.

My interpretation is since Dak isn't a great QB, those numbers are bound to revert closer to the average.  He's due for a couple of clunkers this season.

We are due for him to have a bad game against us. He hasn’t since 2019.

I originally posted but deleted because I thought 2021 Hurts started, but he didn’t. He was rested in week 18 for the playoffs. But yeah, this is the first game in Philly where both starters are actually playing. Dallas lost in 2019 putting up 9 points. But I believe Dak had a shoulder issue going into that game.

I fail to see the logic in this.

Really is no logic in it and really more just hoping he does. Just amazes me he’s had 2 clunkers against Washington over that same period of time and just shredded us consistently.

He did have the shoulder issue. Nearly scored a td late in the game that got deflected in the end zone by i think Sidney jones to save the game.

This is taking stats way too far.  The teams are different each season, players, coaches and playing styles.  Some of the QBs in the seasons past are no longer with us.  Comparing them to the team in 2023 would be stretching it way too far.

I thought our most effective defensive alignment by far was a 5 1 5 with Dean as the lone off ball linebacker. Sweat or Reddick dropping into coverage was as effective as Cunningham back there, who was basically invisible.

Just saying Dak torched the defense last year. Granted was Gannon not desai.

I thought Dean had a decent game.  I am not sure why there's criticism.  My guess is that he was on a snap count.

And hopefully Byard isn't Josiah Scott

There goes a red phone option...

Tui looks so bad against the run, I'm still interested in getting Suh off the couch.

Joseph was not as effective as Suh last season.  He started well but didn't keep it up.  Suh was consistent throughout.

Sadly our slot corner position is just as much of a mess going into this game as it was when maddox went down in that game. At least they have Reed and byard for this game. Last year it was rookie Reed and Epps

Looking forward to the injury reports today.

Based solely on Jurgens' comments Id guess hes not playing, but he'd make a big difference if healthy.

Same with Tyron Smith on Dallas' side.

If anyone wants to watch this and report their findings that would be great.
