There was an article yesterday, hold on Ill find it.  He just seemed very non-committal to me, "taking it a day at a time," something along those lines

Hell it was right on PE.com

"It's been good, focusing on rehab," Jurgens said on Wednesday. "Doing everything I can to get it right and also stay with the guys and support them and make sure I'm staying in the meeting and listening and knowing the game plan and not taking time off. This is the time to get better. That's the way I treated it."

If anyone wants to watch this and report their findings that would be great.

Mixed - poor in coverage at times but good when blitzing and against the run. Nothing we didn't already know really.

DeGrom did nothing.

Scherzer did almost nothing.

However, this gets under the skin of every Met fan, so I like it.

He thinks the TD he gave up was on him.  Brown was supposed to carry the receiver vertical or go to the flat.  He hesitated carrying the WR and ended up out of position on his coverage.  He also did not do a great job on a slant play.  He didn't disrupt the route and was on his heels.  He did a very good job getting downhil and making good tackles.  He did an excellent job in run support.  He had a couple of decent coverage reps as well.

Whereas the Rangers seized momentum after game 3 and made the dbacks hitters and bullpen look like they had for the last month of the season. Which was inconsistent and mostly bad it’s why they backed into the playoffs.

Sorry a little off topic with regards to the Philies, but the most important part of the Rangers success in the postseason was their bullpen improving dramatically vs reg season. They were always going to score runs, but for the BP to pitch as well as they did in the postseason wasn't expected. In the WS specifically they were really really good, outside of G4 when they threw low leverage guys to eat innings with a 10 run lead and gave up 7 runs late...

Why the heck are the coaches being so stubbornly supportive of playing Gainwell.

He's been horrid, no way around it.

Out of 39 RB with at least 50 carries he ranks 39th.

Yards after contact 39th

Pass blocking 33

Yards/ route 31

39th in success rate

And 42nd out of 45 In yards over expected per attempt.

Those are all horrendously bad numbers.

I've been told by others that he's the eagles best pass blocker and if 33rd is the best that's sad.

I'm not sure why Siri is so hell bent on not just defending him but continuing to give him the ball.

Siri said we don't see what Kenny does in practice and that's true but I've seen enough of what he's done in actual games to know I don't want to see more

I am not sure where  that pass blocking stat is from but I agree on the other points.  I don't see why they keep using him.  He's been mediocre and does not flash any dynamic ability.

Oh, I agree. The biggest weakness that the Rangers had going into the playoffs (assuming that Scherzer was going to come back and pitch and Jonah Gray was also healthy) was their bullpen. Because their bullpen had issues especially in August. They were very good in this series besides game 2 (gave up 5 in 3 IP) and 4. where like you said in game 4 they put a bunch of dylan covey type guys in there just trying to eat up the innings.

And the difference between the Phillies and the Rangers against the Diamondbacks, was 2 things. One the Phillies bullpen after game 2 had issues finding the strike zone nearly every time they got called upon. And the hitters didn’t give nearly the quality of at bats as the Rangers did. Even without their second best hitter, the Rangers made the dbacks pitchers grind. For instance, last night ginkel had been nearly unhittable during this postseason. He didn’t give up any runs but they made it really hard on him so that the dbacks couldn’t send them back out there for the 9th even if they wanted to. And then they got to face sewald, who they’ve seen before and tattoo’s him. Because they were patient when he was pitching. He leaves a lot of stuff in the zone. That’s what killed him late in the year with the Diamondbacks. The Phillies were just swinging away hoping they could hit any and everything. Cause of that he didn’t have to throw strikes and he didn’t get crushed. Rangers made him throw strikes and you saw the result

Just saying Dak torched the defense last year. Granted was Gannon not desai.

He played well, but we turned the ball over 4 times leading to 20 points for Dallas. We lost the turnover battle 4-1, the points off TO 20-7, and we still had a chance to win the game at the end with Gardner Minshew throwing into the end zone from the Dallas 20.

We turn it over 4 times again, we will lose. But we put up almost 450 yards on them in that game with Minshew.

Sadly our slot corner position is just as much of a mess going into this game as it was when maddox went down in that game. At least they have Reed and byard for this game. Last year it was rookie Reed and Epps

Scott was playing safety in the game I believe.  I think slot isn't great but Ricks and Brown have potential.  I am optimistic the team can bounce back against Dallas.  I think the problems were scheme related and assignment related last Sunday.

There's something weird going on with coaches and their running backs this year, especially with taking them out in the red zone. Atlanta does it with Bijan, Detroit has been doing it with Gibbs all year until the Raiders game, and the Eagles do it with Gainwell instead of Swift. I get they can't keep Swift in every play, but to remove him when you get inside the red zone is just detrimental.

If Roby can't return this week, it seems a little weird they didn't put him on IR.

The Dallas front is not the game you want your first start.

I would say the turnovers are still a problem heading into this game. This is a game if we turn it over 2 or more times we are gonna lose.

Was Epps out? I know CJGJ was. I can’t remember if he was. Just know we got destroyed by lamb in the first half then much better second half in him.

I thought Dean had a decent game.  I am not sure why there's criticism.  My guess is that he was on a snap count.

I agree. It’s somewhat akin to Gainwell getting snaps. You can’t play Swift every down, nor Dean, especially when working back from injury.

Makes sense, especially if Opeta is fighting an injury and all the more so if Jurgens isn’t quite ready to come back.

Any opinion on whether Steen or Opeta is the better run blocker, or is there not enough info?

I ask because I’m at least hoping the Eagles rely much more on the running game this Sunday. They obviously thought Opeta was the better ‘overall’ option at RG, or Steen would’ve been there once Jurgens got hurt.  Just curious if you have an opinion on their run blocking abilities
