Seeing this gif earlier on here and contemplating everything in the world for the past year I was able to realize that what the Eagles should do is do Kelly Green in September and October but do Midnight Green in November and beyond.

He’s made some big mistakes in crucial situations; that’s undeniable. Oddly enough, though, the play that soured me on him was a bubble screen where he ran sideways rather than straight upfield. I don’t want to call it cowardly but it was extremely weak. Brought back memories of Todd Pinkston. Not a football player’s play.

If we want to stretch the field, let’s use Devon Allen.

That quez bubble screen was overblown, he made a bad read tried to out run the d instead of hitting it and guys like Seth Joyner lose their mind and all the lemming fans that were already sour in Quez follow the hate off a cliff...

Like I said, Quez has a valuable skill set, in that he can take the top off the defense, when his head is right and he's playing well the eagles offense is better.

Problem has been he was so disinterested and bad last year and this year dealing with injuries he really hasnt had many opportunities to turn it around

If/when he gets back I don't know why anyone wouldn't be hoping and rooting for him to make some plays

He'll get 1 or 2 pity targets a game and if he can make the most of those targets that makes the eagles that much better.

As for Devon Allen, he's never shown he can actually play WR

He had one good KR in pre season and that's about it

He's not a football player, he's a track guy moonlighting as a football player, kind of like Quez too, except Quez has shown he can play WR at times.

I've been bummed by Elliss' performance. He got beat out in camp by both Morrow and Cunningham. He has not popped on ST like he did last year. His brother played well for both the Saints and Falcons. It's just not happening for him.

Yup, reportedly he was making plays in coverage left and right in camp but as soon as the pads and bright lights came on he disappeared ☹️

Too bad I thought he would be better.

Talk about a revenge game, he's about to show this dope coaching staff that he should've been playing since week 1 over gainwell

Or he would, but they'll give him one carry

I don't like the way they' used penny In pre season, he's a down hill runner and having him go sideways out of the shjtgun in outsude zune runs isnt utilizing his skill set

Line him up in the pistol and give him a running head start.

Having said that, not that it matters he'll probably onky get one carry so...

Quez has trouble tracking the ball. Might be okay in college but not the NFL where every play counts. Like Agholor's bad hands. Their issues lower their percentage of success and that's a liabiltiy that should be grounds for replacement. Gainwell is the same but it is his vision. Every once in a while he makes a good play then it appears to bias viewing the majority of plays where he underperforms. If Penny can replace Gainwell, it stands to be a great improvement for the rest of the season.

I don't think Quez has any trouble tracking the ball, go watch his 2021 games which was his best year and he had plenty of deep plays where he tracked the ball, if Anything I think it's one of the things he does well

I think his biggest weakness is his strength off the line and at the catch point.

He has a pretty slight frame and too easily gets knocked off/ out of his route and fighting through contact at the catch point, he's not a 50/50 catch guy, and he also tends to get lazy on his routes especially last year where he just seemed to not care, his routes in 2001 were more crisp and he showed a lot more hustle.

2022 after being told he would rarely see any targets he not surprisingly played disinterested.

It's too bad because after 2021 he looked like he could be really good going forward but being phased out of the offense wrecked him and he hasn't been the same since

Maybe he gets his head screwed on right when he comes back and makes some big plays, that would be nice, if not oh well.🤷‍♂️

No he doesn't.

As one of the primary Elliss drum beaters, I have the same disappointment.

The NFL is absurd.

CFP committee doesn't have Colorado in their top 4?

They must be haters.

Would be silly.  Can't believe the report.  They have so much cap space and he is huge for them.

Hard to tell.  There's a contingent of fans who want EVERYONE that ever becomes available or there is a rumor of availability.   Besides, no trade is possible for him right now.  He'd have to be cut and every one in the league would have to not claim him on waivers.

There seems to be a debate about who should get more playing time between Oz and Quez.  At this point we're talking about the 4th string WR.  It's not really that important.  Like I said if it comes down to depending on either of those guys we are in trouble.

But some seem to think that 4th WR could be upgraded which is why I suggested trading for Pickens, not being serious of course.

Right now AJ is getting the majority of targets.  Devonta and Goedert could get more as well as Swift out of the backfield.  Now with Julio there won't be any for Oz or Quez.

Oz to me could be more of a contributer if given any targets.  Quez is a one trick pony.  He has speed and can get deep but honestly I'd rather see Devonta or AJ get deep throws instead.   They don't have Quez speed but I trust them way more to come up with deep targets.  Both guys can go up and make tough contested catches.  Quez can't do that.

Dak Prescott has thrown 145 passes without an interception at the Linc, more than any other player. Next on that list is Jeff Garcia, with 120 passes without an INT, including three games for the Eagles in 2006 plus a game in 2003 for the 49ers against the Eagles. Garcia threw 91 passes at the Linc as an Eagle without an interception. The next-most pass attempts at the Linc by an Eagle without an INT? That would be three … by Greg Ward.

How does that Roob stat make any damn sense? Not only have I see Hurts complete more than 3 passes at the Linc without throwing an interception but I think I've seen every QB foe the Eagles in the regular season complete more than 3 passes without an interception at the Linc.

I think the Sixers end up with Durant at the deadline.

Hurts has thrown an interception at the linc..this stat is only for players that have never thrown one at the linc

Week 9 is here Eagles Fans.  Daylight Savings Time, I'm up early and I can't go back to sleep (Well it's really 6 AM in my mind's clock, lol).   Oh well.  In 12 hours, The Birds and The Boys are in for another NFC Beast Battle. It was kind of a quiet Cowboys week.   I'll tell you what won't be quiet.   The Linc should be rocking this afternoon.   Look we hate them, they hate us.  It's no secret.  This is the 129th Game All-Time in one of the NFL's Biggest Rivalries.  The Boys lead the all time series 73 to 55. The Bye week is next week.  This is a great chance for the Birds to take full control of the NFC Beast with 8 games to go.   Everyone keeps talking about "Our Schedule" coming up.  I don't care about that.  I only care about them taking care of business at Home against Dallas.  Dak is now the OG of the Division.  He did outlast everyone.  I'll give him that.  I also think Dak is talented.  With that said, he has made some mistakes in crucial times.

As many have said in the Media. Dak is 8-3 Vs Philly.  Good record.  But when you pull it back.  You realize several of those wins the Eagles were resting starters or there was literally nothing to play for as the Division or Playoffs were wrapped up.  With that said, this year Dallas has been blowing teams doors off at Home.  Very similar to Miami.  But away from Jerry World has been a Different world.  Arizona ran the ball down their throats and beat them.  San Fran ran and threw the ball and beat them badly. Chargers had them on the ropes until the very end of the game.  All of these were on the Road.   Dallas is a different team on the road.   Meanwhile, the Eagles just came off their best scoring performance of the Season.  On the Road.   At home the Birds are averaging 33 PPG, they are also 10-2 over their last 12 Homes games.  In their last 3 road games.  Dallas is only averaging 16 PPG and is 1-2.  Dak has also thrown several INT's during those games. I believe the same happens in Philly.

I expect the Defense to bounce back this week and play like the Miami game with much more intensity.  I also expect the Offense to keep rolling. This is one of the Best Defenses the Birds will face outside of the Jets.  But Dallas Defense is not that great against the Run.  I hoping for the a more balanced attack this week.   Also pressure Dak, he can be forced into mistakes.   NFC Beast games are always fluky and tricky.  But sometimes the better team does win outright.  The Dallas D hasn't given up 100 Yard WR this season.  I think the Birds have a chance with AJ and Swift to break 100 in the Air and Ground.   Dallas won't go quietly but I just feel the Birds are playing better overall football right now.  In the 128 games, the Birds and Boys have only played on 11/5 one other time.  That was 11/5/2000 23 years ago in the Randall V Donovan Bowl.  Randal Cunningham returned to Philly wearing a Dallas Jersey (Why Randall, lol) to play a young Donovan Mcnabb in his first year starting.   The Eagles won in OT 16-13. Now Dak is the Veteran coming to play a young Jalen.  Same result, but better score this time.   Birds take down the Boys and head to the Bye Week 8-1.

THE BIRDS - 31

THE BOYS - 16

JALEN - RUSH TD

AJ - TD

GOEDERT - TD

SWIFT - RUSH TD

JAKE - FG

DEFENSE - MULTIPLE INT's and SACKS and A FUMBLE

Oh Yeah how could I forget.  Happy Birthday JASON.   Not In Our House on Jason's B-Day.

Quoting Clubber Lang, "You made me wait too long, you gonna pay!" Would love to see him used in tandem with Swift and just let him run angry......

F gainwell, give some snaps to penny. Dallas probably won't have factored him into the game and we could take advantage

Also @mattwill 31-17 Eagles over Dallas

Bonus Jalen Carter with 3 sacks announcing in a big game, he is here.

It will never ever happen... but I'd love to see him to suit up in the Kelly Greens.

Trotter Jr. will likely fall to an area where the FO ponders LBs, but he’s a MIKE not a WIL so in direct competition with Nakobe. Doubtful like you said… automatic tackler, good instincts, not a freaky athlete though.
