They put up good numbers against crap teams

Good teams usually do even if they are missing a starter or two

Seems like Slay is the only one that can play in the slot other than Roby

What's weird is they seemed to be collecting slot CB for years and now they have a majority of outside CB. I'm happy with any experience the young CBs can get so we know what we have moving forward.

Or, that Slay was the only one with a chance of sticking with Lamb of the players available.  Lamb isn't the typical slot WR.

It will be interesting to see how many yards the Cowboys got on scramble plays.  There is very little that either coaching. Or scheme can do to address those snaps.  Those snaps are execution issues rather than coaching or scheme.

If the pass rush stays more disciplined in their rush lanes, they can greatly limit the scramble opportunities.

This was one of the best Defensive Plays of the game.  Shout to BG.

Given his age, I get why Brandon Graham is on a pitch count. But he's currently EDGE3. He needs to play more for this overall defense to function.

Because Jordan Davis/Carter are banged up, we can't even play more Milton Williams on on the outside.

What also makes it rougher is that teams won't run the ball on us letting us rest our pass-rushers.

This is my biggest concern with the KC game. Mahomes is the king of the scramble drill and extending plays. Dak killed then on it and I expect to see something similar from Mahomes.

You’d think Nolan Smith would get more snaps against scrambling QBs since he can chase them down better than others

An actual good TE rep from Albert 0. He should be the starter in 3WR sets. Stoll just can't do this. We will lose a lot in the run game going from Goedert to Albert.

Specific to this rep, I do get why Hurts choose AJ from TE4.

100% agreed. Doesn't seem like Desai likes to rotate the D Line as much as Gannon and Schwartz did.

I saw a stat that the Eagles lead the league in QB pressures under 2 seconds. I think it was in Tommy’s latest post. Impressive stuff from the DL.

The secondary is never going to be anything beyond average.  We don't have the LBs or NCB for that.  But we can mitigate it with a strong pass rush and TOP.

That's why not being able to close out games is very concerning.  We can and should be good at that.

I keep seeing NCB being referenced as a factor but Maddox only played 9 games for us last year when we had the league's best pass defense. I think S and LB play are bigger factors, to be honest.

I'd like to see the end zone angle of this play. Curious if Dak stepped out just prior to contact from BG or after. Hard to tell from this screenshot.

It should be literally everybody.

I think they need to give Nolan some more T-E games, he’s not getting his hands up and good tackles are getting into his body. I’m not sure if it is a run responsibility thing or he’s slightly late off the snap but he isn’t running the circle either. Perhaps if he spies he can take a blocker out the play and cut down the Mahomes scrambles as you suggest.

Whenever someone mentions Mike Florio, this springs to mind

it's all he does now

I don't think BG ever touched him in bounds. Dak was avoiding contact.

That's what I thought in real time too.

He stepped out before.
