The Panthers really blew it passing on Stroud for Young

Great punt. Amazing game

If 11/2000 wasnt better, it was a close rival. Eagles went 4-0 that month, 6ers started 10-0 and the flyers wernt an embarrassment

This game is so bad, I can’t stomach anymore of it.

Miles Sanders has -3 yards on 3 touches.

Prior to the fourth quarter fourth down sneak by Prescott which Sirianni subsequently challenged, something odd happened. The Cowboys were very late in getting their substitutions in order and were running guys onto the field with less than ten seconds left on the play clock. And then suddenly the referee reset the clock to a full twenty-five seconds, giving them the time needed to properly execute the play. Has anyone commented about this? Any explanation at all? We ended up seeing Sirianni arguing with the officials after the play and have assumed his argument was about the spot on the play. But I’m wondering if he was also upset about the clock.

Trying to kick a 59 yarder in Chicago is not a very good plan. I get it was 4th down but there was no way pineiro was getting close on that kick.

yet they still managed to beat us

It wasn’t their Offense that beat us.

So I just saw… Mahomes is the favourite to win MvP and I feel like Hurts isn’t really getting the credit he deserves. Well I just saw that Mahomes has thrown for 17 TDs and 8 INTs. He’s also fumbled 3 times but has no rushing TDs with a completion % of 68.6.

Hurts meanwhile… He has 15 passing TDs and also 8 INTs. But he’s rushed for 7 TDs with 4 fumbles.

So he’s actually only turned the ball over 1 more time but has accounted for 5 more TDs.

Now I know the narrative will be that Mahomes doesn’t have the WRs. Well Hurts is dealing with a knee injury and wearing a brace. Sure Mahomes deals with injuries but Hurts is much more of a dual threat so that knee injury hampers him more. Hurts also has a rookie OC playing plays. And it certainly feels like the Chiefs have a more effective and efficient run game.

A lot will hinge on when we play them. We beat them and Hurts has a big game I think you'll see that change.

I wouldn't be surprised if kelce is still involved with the eagles after he's retired.

I would. He seems to be setting himself up for a sports media career similar to Pat McaFee

The rumour is that Reich and the coaching staff all wanted to take Stroud but the Owner was adamant he wanted Young for whatever reason.

It's too early to call Young a bust anyway, the Carolina roster is pretty ordinary, they've got to improve that and see if they can make it work.

Carson Wentz did more with less back in 2019 than Mahomes is doing right now and gets sh$%ed on.

With his TJ surgery you’d basically have to play schwarber in LF until Ohtani can come back and throw. Add on he’s likely going DH or 1B in the future when he doesn’t pitch. Plus i think dodgers are just gonna blow everyone out of the market

Ohtani should probably not pitch again or be a rotation breaker to use for maybe 5-10 starts a year at this point.  He’s on his second TJ.

I would think that would have to be Option 1.   Have a guy that pitches so infrequently wouldn't be effective when he gets the chance.  Would be a waste.  Interestingly enough, even Babe Ruth stopped pitching (at 26) and just played OF for the remainder of his career.

Glad I didn't bother with TNF. Seemed a terrible game...

I think Kelce (J) is absolutely primed for some sort of media career.  He has the right personality, bit quirky and funny.  When you listen to games and the likes of Ronde Barber are commentating, someone like Kelce instantly makes the product better.  If he chooses, he can make good money by just being him,

Remove Kelce and Mahomes is working with Pre 2004 McNabb level receivers.  Mahmoes should be the favorite right now IMO.

2019 Carson Wentz: 4,039 yards, 27 TD, 7 INT, Eagles finished 9-7

2023 Patrick Mahomes: on pace for 4,613 yards, 32 TDs,  15 INTs, Currently 7-2.

I really wouldn't say that is more with less.

I really wouldn't say that is more with less.

Wentz did that in 16 games without a single WR having 50 catches or 500 yards. Adjust his numbers to 17 games and Wentz has 4,292 yards, 29 TD.

Rashee Rice is on pace for 61 receptions for 714 yards. Still laughable for a leading WR but Carson had Alshon with 43 catches for 490 yards.

Miles Sanders had 50 catches for 509 yards and 3 TDs. Isiah Pacheco is on pace for 50 catches 320 yards and 2 TDs.

The best thing both QBs have are top tight ends.

Ertz in 2019 had 88 catches for 916 yards and 6 TDs with Goedert adding 58 catches for 607 yards and 5 TD.

-2019 Philly TE totals: 146 catches 1523 yards and 11 TD.

TK is on pace for 119 catches for 1268 yards and 8/9 TD. Noah Gray is on pace for 36 catches 428 yards and 2 TD

-2023 KC TE projections: 155 catches 1696 yards 11 TD.

I think the comparisons between Wentz in  2019 and Mahomes in 2023 are fair.

Mahomes had 2 MVPs and 2 SBs going into this season. Carson had 2/3rds of an MVP season and 3 major injuries. They are not 1-to-1

Besides, Wentz doesn’t get pooped on for 2019, he gets pooped on for literally everything he did after 2019.

KC's WRs already have more yards through 9 games than the 2019 Eagles WRs lol

Edit: Missed Agholor. They're ~340 yards behind.

I know and I'm not saying Wentz is as good as Mahomes. I just think the parallels between the 2 seasons from the stats and the players surrounding both players are darn close.

Mahomes is going to get all kinds of credit for what he does this year while people ignore how good Wentz was with crap around him. That's more of the point I was trying to make.
