I kind of agree that Morrow should be activated for the game against the Vikings but with only two free activations off the practice squad, presumably for Siposs and Covey, they won't be able to do so. The options then would be to not promote Covey, which while possible I don't expect especially considering how well he did against the Patriots, or put Dean on IR and then sign Morrow or Covey (or Siposs) to the 53-man roster.

But I kinda doubt they'll add Siposs or Covey to the 53 before week four, simply because they don't have to. They sort of "earned" that privilege by waiving them and having them clear waivers.

Dean to IR and Morrow to the 53 is my guess. After week 1, so Morrow's salary won't be guaranteed.

Surprised he wants to play for a league that according to him treats players like slaves.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but I think Carson Wentz is the right move for the Jets.  I’m no Wentz washer, as I was one of his biggest critics in his time here.

The talent is there.  Wentz was stubborn, not lazy.  He was so talented he never learned to make adjustments and just forced it with his patented hero ball.

But he was always pretty good when surrounded with actual talent and targets.  A humbled Wentz willing to play within the system and to situationally flex the talent and big arm…on a very talented Jets team.

It could fail spectacularly.  But if im a Jets fan, that’s the only option with the upside to contend.

I liked Rodgers. He was fun to watch when he wasn't playing against us

I worked on a few commercials with Rodgers. He was always respectful and cool to the crew. I'd say he was much easier to work with than most athletes.  There's some "nice guys" out there whom I can tell you were absolute egomaniacal nightmares to work with. Rodgers showed up on time (I know this doesn't seem like much, but it is), really embraced the process, treated everybody with respect, didn't have an ego, and made our lives easy.

It sucks they have two games there this year

Zach Wilson will most likely be the starter til he falls on his face or gets injured. Any of the guys listed above, isn't stepping in for awhile, regardless, with no training camp or system familiarity.

Bradberry out also?

Concussion protocol. Almost impossible for someone to be cleared in time for a Thursday game. Jobe should get the start.

What about Nolan Smith at linebacker? He could cover and they could use him as a Blitzer also

Yup. Wentz has major flaws but this is last call and the options aren't great. He's the only one I see on that list who at least has the talent and gas in the tank to offer a slim chance of winning it.

A bit surprised they signed Morrow to active roster rather than PS call up. That leaves Siposs & Covey to eventually clear spots for or replace

I was curious if they'd want to use one of their IR call ups so early. Aren't there a limited number of times you can take someone off IR in a season?

That was probably their plan all along to sign him after 1st week. Also, with little depth, they can't afford to have him poached off practice squad. I think, he's starting this week.

Well look at Rodgers making a decision instead of milking the media attention for a month while he trips balls in a hut in the woods somewhere.

Good for him. Would have been a seriously **** way to end such a good career.

My guess is that we will release Morrow or Cunningham in 2 weeks, once Siposs/Covey's elevations up, and do the elevation dance at LB.

It's also time to consider releasing Calcaterra once Albert O knows the offense.

I'm pretty sure you can have up to 8 return in a year. They have expanded it quite a lot in recent years, which I'm glad.

There is a meaningful precedent of highly talented QBs, left for dead, who have found major success in their 30s when they lucked into talented teams with a hole at QB.  Randall and Vick come to mind.
