Evans trade in the wings?

Unless they were dramatically over the cap beforehand it seems like a move planning for another move. Either a trade or an extension.

I'll take him day 3 if his combine numbers are good.  6'4 250.  He might go much higher.

Looks like a deep class

The worst outcome of a situation in Tampa would be if I lived there already and you decided to move there.  That would be much worse than Mike Evans going to the Giants.

What a nightmare that would be.... Living next to a mentally ill kid with Hurts mayo on his chin

Not only is there a better punter sitting out there that they haven't showed any interest in, he's also probably the best punter in the league.  Any moral reason doesn't hold up to the fact that they brought Sills back and were giving him some first team reps before they ultimately cut him.

So, you are saying he's better than the punter on the other 31 teams as well, and yet, not a single one has even sniffed at him since Buffalo cut bait.   Seems hard to believe.

As for equating Sills and Araiza...  every case has to be dealt with on a case by case basis.  As for Sills getting 1st team reps... they rotate guys through the different spots on the depth chart.   Much to do about nothing.

No team has looked better than FSU so far

hell of a roster

Interesting tidbit from ITB with Mosher and Caplan. Goedert hadn't been practicing?

I see GJ Kinne is getting some love for his coaching performance yesterday for Texas State. He ain't no Prime, but could have as brighter future, or  a bigger one

Kinne_Era might have been my fav handle I've had.

Good for GJ. Good for Prime.  Two different stories. I know Prime is polarizing but in college football if you're a coach and make yourself a draw in the recruiting process then it's smart. College football is definitely not all about coaching on the field

Franklin got that extension at Penn State not knowing how to coach.

I really like Penix

He's a lot of fun to watch, but there's something about his throwing motion and mechanics that make me wonder how he even can complete a pass.  That kid is absolutely electric though.

Was surprised how good they looked last night.

Will be looking forward to seeing Clemson play tonight and their QB.  Could be FSU who wins the ACC this year.

Clearing cap space

I know it's part of the CBA and something that happens routinely, but it's absolutely insane that the ink isn't even dry yet from signing the deal originally and they can modify things.

11-6

After 2 years of Sirianni, it's clear that if players need down time they're not practicing but playing in games.

I've read a few writers expecting some drop-off due to new starters/key depth pieces. So let's go head to head - by end of 2023, who's better at each spot vs. 2022?

RB: DeAndre Swift vs. Miles Sanders

RG: Cam Jurgens vs. Isaac Seumalo

DT: Jalen Carter vs. Javon Hargrave

LB: Nakobe Dean vs. TJ Edwards

LB: Zach Cunningham vs. Kyzir White

S: Reed Blankenship vs. Marcus Epps

S: Sydney Brown/Justin Evans/Terrell Edmunds vs. CJGJ

Backup QB: Marcus Mariota vs. Gardner Minshew

Backup LT: Tyler Steen vs. Andre Dillard

Backup CB: Josh Jobe vs. Zech McPhearson

If Goedert has to sit week 1 that will hurt but it will be offset by the availability of Ward at least.

The whole RB room is better than last year’s.

Seumalo over Jurgens.

Carter over Hargrave, at least by midseason.

Safeties and LBs are a push.

Mariota over Minshew.

Steen and Dillard a push.

Jobe and McPherson another push.

Also, Steichen over Johnson and Desai a big edge on Gannon.
