I don't have an issue per say, but i don't grant him legend status,  like he seems to have.

I'd call that a flag, not a pennant.

Be prepared for our ST's unit to suck even more than usual. With all the injuries, we are going to need the top (if you want to call them that) ST reserves to play starting snaps. From week 1 that is:

Christian Ellis: 23 ST snaps - 79%

Justin Evans: 13 ST snaps - 45%

Terrell Edmunds: 20 ST snaps - 76%

Josh Jobe: 22 ST snaps - 45%

 

And I realize that they could play some ST snaps, but they aren't going to take that workload if they have to play a ton of Defensive snaps. It would also make sense for Cousins to dink and dunk up and down the middle which increases snaps. On top of all this, they will need to also replace on ST's:

Reed Blakenship: 9 ST snaps - 31%

Nakobe Dean: 8 ST snaps - 28%

In a way, these injuries might help us more than hurt us in the long run.

For one, we get to see the other running backs, which is a positive. If they aren't as good as Gainwell, so be it. But they certainly might be much better.

On defense, Cunningham and Ellis shouldn't be starting. So I am all in favor of playing Morrow (who outplayed both of them in preseason) and Evans (after he gets acclimated) to see if they can at least be average.

In the secondary, getting Jobe and (hopefully) Brown on the field gives the team a chance to evaluate their backups in the secondary. If one of them plays really well, there's no reason to leave Evans out there. If Jobe plays well at corner, we can pretty easily put Bradberry in the slot and move Maddox to safety.

If there was one thing that was painfully obvious after week one it was that Cunningham and Evans are really, really bad. And the injuries might force the team into making decisions that, in reality, needed to be made regardless.

The Vikings looked bad against the Bucs.  If people are feeling worried, just watch these highlights:

  I want Hurts to come out and pick them apart and I think they will.  If the offense plays well, we will be fine.
