Wow the 975 afternoon show asked 3 weeks ago who was going to be the eagles mvp. They trolled them and all voted for Jake elliott. So far he is.

Ok now get Maddox back on the field and let's get the passing game into high gear. Play calling alone doesn't make for a crappy passing game. It's a factor, but Justin Herbert the last couple years with awful play calling was still slinging it. Hurts just does not look comfortable at all. He's not seeing the field.

But if ya gotta run it to win then do it I guess, but would be nice to not need 18 plays to score a damn TD.

Also credit to edmunds for not giving up on the play. Could’ve thought Jefferson was easily going to score and was able to help with that fumble.

I brought this up earlier for whatever reason the Eagles when their quarterback has like an MVP type of Qb the previous year, the following year they just don’t get back to that point. I’m hoping that’s not the case with Hurts and he starts looking better as the season continues. But Nick Foles had the 27 and 2 year the following year before he got knocked out with the collarbone he was 10 tds and 6 ints. Wentz just never looked like 2017 version in 2018. He really didn’t ever again and close was the end of the 2019 season. Could even say vick in 2010 then 2011 wasn’t the same. And through 6 quarters looks like that trend is continuing.
