Penny's hold absolutely was one.  100%.

Quite possibly but I saw no grab or hook.  Like I said, I want the coaches’ film to be sure.

AJ getting into it with himself?

The 3rd/4th down play calling from Siri/Johnson and decision-making from Hurts have been consistently bad.  Even with the 2nd half signs of life for the passing game, they were still really rough in those situations.  Bad decisions, bad reads, and completely nonsensical calls with designed QB runs and short routes into bad matchups on 3rd and long.

The "screen" to Goedert with absolutely no one blocking in front of him was brutal.

Reverse angle clearly showed the grab and pull.

How Hurts lets himself get sacked when the Vikings are rushing three is mind-boggling.

Yup. That was a bad sack. With 8 dropping in coverage just throw a check down/dump off. Take the 3-5 yards and let elliott just kick a field goal to go up 16. He had swift on a dump off. He likely would’ve gotten a nice chunk as no one was around him on the play.

I know they are best friends, but Hurts should really stay out of it while AJ is getting into it with himself.

It was there. Sky cam showed it clear as day.

He doesn't do the dump off.  He wants to scramble instead.  He needs to improve at that... big time.

Watching this Kelce film shows that this is most certainly his last year

He left the pocket and had no need to.  He moved right into Hunter... same thing he did in the first quarter the other way and ran to Lane's.  Difference was he was able to get outside in the first quarter.

Hopefully he went somewhere private.

Fans are beating the hell out of each other at FedEx Field but the Eagles fans boo'd!

My point is that these guys aren’t really depth; they are our defense.  I understand that not many teams have reliable DB/CB depth…and the Eagles made the (IMO, wise) decision to have their marquee depth along the DL.  But our starting LBs and safeties are generally indistinguishable from the backups.  Maddox generally does not play for extended stretches.  Jobe, Edmunds, Evans, Morrow, Goodrich…they aren’t depth.

Okay.  I can buy that.  What do you see as the solution to that?  Or alternatively, what steps would you have taken to avoid it?

Bradberry’s concussion was just part of the game.  It is violent.  Blankenship’s ribs was the same.  Neither of them are fragile players.  Maddox on the other hand definitely is fragile.  But even with that said, when you look at the depth/backups around the League, which teams have the depth you are looking for?

Yup. wentz had the same issue of not taking dump offs. He always wanted to just take shots down the field though. That replay you see swift is likely gonna get 5-6 yards before contract and he might even break a tackle and get you 10 and make it an easy FG for Jake. If there was ever a time you’d want to get it to swift it was then. His best quality might be in the passing game in the open field to make guys miss

The offense just isn’t clicking. Timing, playcalling… it’s clear they aren’t all on the same page and my uneducated guess is that Hurts and the OC just aren’t clicking

The Defensive scheming by Bb on Sunday and Flores tonight have had a lot to do with that.  They both had the whole offseason to game plan for the Eagles.  Both are very very good Defensive tacticians.

With all respect to @ManuManu, the Eagles have moved a starting OCB to nickel back and the "nickel” play the OCB in the past.  Could easily see Bradberry and Slay as the starting CBs (outside) but in the nickel bringing in Jobe outside and Bradberry sliding to the nickel if Maddox is out.  Puts the best three CBs on the field.

After what we saw from Goodrich tonight (a lack of physical talent coupled with a lack of awareness), I wouldn’t be shocked if that’s the plan moving forward. Josiah Scott is better than Goodrich.

Swift has 133 yards before contact.

Game ball to o line and Minny for rushing 3 all game.

The thing with Hurts I will say and it doesn’t apply to this year or even next, but down the line I don’t think he’s a guy who can carry an offense. If they eventually go the route KC did with Mahomes and give him Skyy Moore/Kadarius Toney type receivers to save money, it will get ugly and they’ll be back in the doldrums.

It’s not necessarily a knock on Hurts because there aren’t many guys outside of Mahomes who can make that work. But they need to continue to keep him surrounded with talent on the outside and a good running game with a good offensive line. That will be a challenge to do a couple years down the line.

They rarely use Boston Scott running the ball.   I'd love to see him returning kicks instead.  He is more likely to break one than Covey.

Giving a little too much credit to a Vikings  D that had all offseason to game plan for a loss to Baker Mayfield at home.
