One of my favorite parts about him is how expressive he is... at times.  And in those brief glimpses, we get to see what he's really thinking/feeling.  Which is usually exactly the same as we are!

My early NCAA take.

-Ohio State, Texas, LSU and Clemson take big steps back this year.

-I'll be sick of hearing about "Coach Prime" with his receipts by week 2 and the media slobbing on his knob, wait, already there...and I say that as a fan of his.

-Wisconsin is going to have 2 1,000 yard rushers.

-Jeremiah Trotter Jr. is going to be on all of our wants list for the draft.

-The new clock rules will get more negative feedback the further we get in to the season.

-Penn State is going to be on top of the Big10.

-Alabama is going to be Alabama.

-College football is at a crossroads. It's still great but I fear we're watching the last season of what we know of the sport. NIL, transfer portals, mega conferences just make it not as enjoyable.

-With that being said, I still love college football so much.

His best reaction might be to one of our worst bullpen guys running out full speed

The problem with leg strength is that if that strength produces longer punts, then it also has to produce longer hang times.  If it doesnt then the added length causes the coverage team significant problems because the returner has a clear field for the additional punt length.  With that nadditional field thay can produce better punt returns.

I'm all for greater length, as long as it doesn't out punt the coverage.

I wonder if the skill at the position will ever get to the point where punters will deliberately sacrifice hang time for distance because they can put it out of bounds consistently?

NFL would love that because it would make PRs obsolete and the game safer.

@mattwill My prediction?

Many of the football players we watch as Eagles played college football.

These are the hard hitting facts I come to the blog for.

Clemson's moment as a CFP powerhouse came and went.

Bye Bye Dabo.

Nice that was mine last year

Interesting comment on BGN

The Eagles will almost certainly not do this, but by putting Arryn Siposs on the practice squad, they have set themselves up to take advantage of NFL’s roster rules. Players can be called up for the practice squad three times. If we assume that punters the Eagles can sign off the street are no worse than Siposs, they could simply go the entire season churning through punters on the practice squad without any drop in performance expectation. It will take six punters to do this over the regular season (five getting three games, the sixth getting two games), but the limit does not apply in the postseason so they could bring any of them back.

Awful news. Prayers to Hugh and his family

I agree with the Colorado and coach Prime opinion.

He was one of my favorite players growing up.  Had a poster of him on my wall eventhough he was on the Falcons.  Honestly I do want him to do well but it's been a bit much already after just 1 game.  Yes it was TCU and they were ranked but it's not the same team as last year.

One thing that drives me nuts is him talking about the haters and those that want to see him lose.  Maybe he doesn't realize every single team in sports has haters and people that want them to lose.  It's not just Prime and Colorado.

Yup. Would be a win all around, but I don’t know if it’s feasible.

I'm going big, 13-4. I was leaning towards 11-6 or 12-5 but screw it. 13-4 as an NFL powerhouse this year. I do feel we will win the super bowl as well and have felt that way the past few months now.

12-5 tied with Cowboys but win East on point differential.
