More cursed organization: Jets or Browns?

Neither one is cursed, they're just terribly run.

The original Browns franchise was actually pretty good, even up to my recollection in the 1970s and 80s with Brian Sipe and then Bernie Kosar.  The rebooted franchise that started in 1999 has basically been a clown show from the start.

The Jets occasionally flirt with being half decent, but have never truly contended during my lifetime -- even in the Rex Ryan years with a couple of AFC Championship Game berths.

That's the biggest issue.   The rest sucks too.

People watching rather than helping is not new and, regrettably, is often the case.

LB makes sense, RB and TE is interesting unless it's just to update the rolodex

Woof Justin Fields

And people really thought he was going to make a leap and using Hurts to justify it

Gotta think they'll cut a TE soon. Either Albert O plays or gets cut.  This is the last year of his deal so why bother with him unless he's active

I'm a frequent Fields basher (Dwayne Haskins was a better prospect from the same offense at OSU), but I think Chicago was a bad place for him to get drafted into.  A QB needs a big arm to throw in those conditions, and he doesn't have a very good supporting cast -- although it's getting better.  I'm sure coaching plays a big part as well.

The Bears will very likely cut bait on Fields after this season.  CHI will probably have two top-10 picks next draft (possibly #1 again) and the current regime didn't draft him.

Not first ballot. I think he'll linger around for a few years and be in the conversation. I would say he's not a HoF'er but if he got in down the line I wouldn't be totally surprised either.

I agree. It looked like you just skipped him over.

Butkus was a nasty player, bordering on dirty.  His play wouldn’t work in today’s NFL.

Bordering?😧

Eagles have a spot on the PS with the Evans departure so Tryout Tuesday may result in a PS signing.

Bonus Goedert with our 1st TD

Please include @mattwill in your prediction

No convo on dirty players, no matter how brief, should pass Conrad Dobler without mention.

Conrad Dobler (offensive lineman -- St. Louis Cardinals, New Orleans Saints and Buffalo Bills, 1972-1981)
Once made SI's cover as the dirtiest player in pro football. "I see defensive linemen jump to knock a pass down," he said after he retired. "When that happened near me, I'd smack 'em in the solar plexus, and that got their hands down real quick. It's as if nobody wants to see anybody else get injured." Dobler didn't care who got hurt. He punched Mean Joe Greene, he kicked Merlin Olsen in the head, he bit, he gouged, and once, he spit on a downed and injured opponent, the Eagles' Bill Bradley.

@mattwill

Eagles 34

Bucs 27

Carter with 2 sacks

The Bucs are fraudulent on offense. Our defense should hold them to 20 or less. If not, we should start asking serious questions. We have the better OL/DL and CBs who can hold up with them. The WRs who give us trouble tend to be faster, not bigger. Their RBs are also bad, which means that Baker has to throw. Baker is dying to throw picks.

The Bucs on D are for real though. They will continue to blitz the hell out of us.

Dawk should've played more. I'll never forgive Banner for that horseshit he pulled with a player who gave so much of himself to the team and the game.

If Dawkins truly wanted to remain an Eagle, he shouldn't have gotten on the plane to Denver. Nor should he have made the determination that doing so meant that he was somehow obligated to sign with them. He could have visited the Broncos and said thank you for your consideration but I'm going to stay with the Eagles.

I'm way more pissed at Dawk in this than I am Banner.

Couldn't disagree more, but no need to rehash it. Doubt either of us are gonna change our minds about it after all these years.

I am in no way suggesting we're there yet. I understand no preseason, new coordinator, etc. Hurts is currently 25th in QBR (by all means not the end all be all) and many of his numbers this year are more reflective of his rookie season in comparison. At what point do we start to have some concern?

Just curious what people think.

There we go! This is the smart move. Next, make it operate like NFL Europe did.

Saw a couple months back something about XFL and NFL talks.  Would love to see assignments like with NFL Europe and to also use the junior league for coach and referee development. Also a great place to try new rules.

I'm sure people will brush off the QBR stat but I'm also curious when some will start having concerns

Interesting question.... for me I haven't even batted an eye at it. Is it on my mind? Yes but, I'm not close to concerned
