I follow all the Eagles beat plus PE..com and BGN and a few national reporters in my X Eagles News feed.  I don’t use BGN’s feed because it is slow and selective based on what BGN is promoting.  If you have X, you can select specific feeds. But my overall X feed (the algorithm based one draws in lots.  Lately Elon has bombarded me with pro Elon feeds.  Don’t spend a lot of time in that feed.

I mentioned this earlier today, the people they have doing the embroidery don’t Fing care and are just doing whatever they want. There’s been issues with the Nike elite jerseys for like over a year with this company that does embroidery for Fanatics called silver crystal sports. Like wrong colors, wrong logos, and stuff like that. And yet Fanatics has yet to do anything about that company which is doing all this stuff. It’s been a crap show

IMO, as GM, don't turn yourself into a pretzel try to do everything.  1 of those spots might have an answer on the roster.  1 can probably be hidden on an otherwise talented defense.  1 probably has to hurt them a bit because you can't have it all.  And 1 can really take the defense to the next level if they find the right upgrade at the deadline.

I don't know that it has to be Budda Baker.  But they need just 1 nickel CB/S/LB.  Get the best one available.   

Jobe is an outside corner.  He played decent. I do wonder about Garner, on PS, at nickel.  Thought he looked slow in PS but that is a position that takes some time to react to NFL speed.

Was thinking about Barnett and how he’s in his 7th year here now. Given the duration of his tenure, he’s the most "Meh” Eagle this team has had in a very long time that has actually remained on the roster. I’m not talking about a guy who was average to below average for a season or two and then gone. He’s seven seasons deep here. Trying to think of other players like that. Ike Reese? Mike Patterson? Although I feel Patterson was a better player than Barnett and Ike at least excelled on ST.

Michael Haddix was six years of terrible RB play, when the Eagles used the #8 overall pick on him.  4 Hall of Fame players drafted after him in that 1983 first round.  Bruce Matthews at the very next pick, Jim Kelly at #14, Dan Marino at #27, and Darrell Green at #28 …. 

Just not a good pick, and Jaworski was aging.

Mike Patterson is definitely a solid comparison. I think Barnett has/had more upside though. That’s how average Patterson was.

Ike Reese was a ST standout and captain who served an important role on those AR teams. 

Mike Patterson is a good one. Maybe Juqua Parker? I think even he was more productive in his roll than Barnett is and certainly wasn't the penalty waiting to happen.

Quez has 2 catches and a bum hammy and Oz hasn't been targeted yet. Goedert averaged something like 3 yards per catch against the Vikings. Before we start looking at using draft capital on another WR, Brian Johnson needs to figure out how to call a game. Goedert was wide open deep a few times against NE but instead of trying to do that again, they threw him garbage that had no chance in developing and at the wrong time. The TE screen they called for him was so poorly executed. 

Let's get the ball to AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert consistently with some Swift, OZ and Watkins mixed in before we start thinking about draft pick rentals. I also don't trust Howie's trade deadline moves anymore. He's improved in so many areas across the board but his deadline moves have been total wastes of picks. 

On another note, I really hope Albert O is active this week. Stoll and Calcaterra aren't even jags right now. They need to upgrade TE2/3 is huge.

Renfroe has no guaranteed salary in 2024, so trading for him would be for this year + an option year. We're not paying him 10+ million in 2024, but he's also a tradable asset. Look at the Panthers. There's always a team that's desperate for WRs.

In some ways, WRs is a bigger need than S if Watkins won't be healthy. We have no other WRs we can funnel passes to. At least with S, we have Sydney Brown waiting in the wings that we can give reps to and a professional in Edmunds.
