Every time I saw that guy on TV I thought,  now here's a guy who has disgusting feet!  That's why he's in a foot fungus commercial! I had no idea that was him. I dont even know who that guy is. He just looked like a guy who would have gross feet. That's why he's in a commercial about foot fungus! Because he's got gross feet! Hrughburghhhghh That just makes sense!  You put a guy in a foot fungus commercial if he's got gross feet!

Now someone who doesn't have gross feet is Brett Favre. Brett Favre had legendary feet. I heard stories... now here's a guy with immaculate feet. Brett Favre had the feet of an angel. Think about it. Here's a guy... known for playing on the frozen tundra... But there's no frostbite on those things.  They're protected. I think he must wear wool socks! Bruubrhghghhbhhh. I heard stories about his feet in the locker room from other players- Donald Driver. Antonio Freeman.  Ahman Green. KGB- trusted guys in that Green Bay Packers locker room.  They'll all tell you.  Brett Favre had some of the best feet on the game of football! Here's a guy, Brett Favre, who will never need tough actin tinactin. Brett Favre. He's one of a kind. And that's why he's one of the best to ever play in the national football league!

I was commenting on watching the All22.  That is based on all of his plays, not the targets alone.  I believe in the same string I mentioned that the zones were loose and I thought they needed more man match.  I believe that I mentioned the D was obviously designed to keep everything in front of them.  Jobe pretty much did what he was asked to do.  Do I like the soft zones?  Not one bit.  Frankly, my biggest criticism of Jobe would be the cushion but that also ties to the speed of the WR he was covering most of the time.  So for a first start and what he was asked to do, he performed decently.  Ask yourself, if Jobe was atrocious, what OC in his right mind would only target him 6 times?  Want to look at how many receptions Slay gave up in the same defense?  Maybe same for Cunningham, Morrow, and Edmunds.  That’s the defense that was drawn up as much as anything.  With four/five starters (Dean, Blankenship, Bradberry, Maddox and at the end Cunningham) out and Reddick playing wounded, I am not sure blaming Desai is right.

Yeah I think Desai has done ok with what he's been given, especially after Maddox went down, he's a really good nickel and McPherson who was being trained to be his backup gets hurt in pre season and one is left with Goodrich who looked lost the whole game.

Hopefully Blankenship is back on Monday and he can stabilize things a bit on the back end, he played really well week one before getting  hurt.

I hope Dan Quinn gets a HC job after this year.

Of course he has some very good players but I think it's smart how his defense remains simple and easy for the players so they can just play defense, react and get to the football.  Let's face it most football players aren't very smart.

Jobe at CB2

Bradberry in the slot should make things better

Just need safeties to be semi-competent and that should be enough

I think the Eagles start Bradberry and switch, just like when Al Harris came in and on the switch, Jobe plays CB2.

In the All22, you could really see the breakdown in communication and understanding where the other player would be.  Really impacted the back seven.

Anyone know who our RB is going to be on Monday? Is Gainwell back as the #1 RB, or is DeAndre Swift going to be the main back? or (if Gainwell is back) do you expect a RB by committee approach?

I expect a Rb committee approach where swift has more touches than gainwell. However i think the eagles know that swift needs 10-14 touches a game but giving him 20+ routinely with his injury history isn’t conducive to him staying healthy all year.

Sounds like either coach talk or they're trying to be the smartest guys in the room which they've done before and we already know the results. Hoping it's just coach talk.

This week I want Bradbury and Slay sticking with Goodwin and Evans wherever they line up.  Don't want Bradbury on some nobody slot while Jobe has to cover Goodwin or Evans.

The goal should be 15 for Swift. If he's cranking out yards, that's when you keep feeding the hot hand and if it goes over 15 so be it.

I think moving Bradberry to slot is only an option if there isn't another one. Right now I expect Goodrich to prepare for that role and be given a chance to settle in as the guy moving forward. One game where he hadn't even practiced with the 1st team beforehand is not the most accurate gauge of what he will become. He made the team over J. Scott. Scott had some ups and downs last season and some people only remember the "downs," but he was mostly solid for a backup. If Goodrich can surpass that performance, we should be fine.

The issue with this is will he last the season?  RBs are dropping like flies.

I see the same issue happening in Dallas…there’s no way Pollard lasts the season at his rate of touches.  He’s not built for it

Moving Bradberry to the slot should be something looked at based on the opponent.  Is he had been a Nickel CB primarily n his career, it would make a lot of sense. Not sure he has been, but equally, depends on the strength of the CB too and who else can play there.

What exactly about Swift's injury history is so concerning that we should all worry he's made of glass? I haven't seen anything major through college. A concussion, a shoulder sprain, a groin strain and an ankle injury. These are all pretty minor and fairly common for players. This will be Barkley's 5th ankle injury that causes him to miss time (including college). That's the kind of thing that concerns me --- or Buckhalter's 3 knee injuries that required surgery.

I hate to sound like "that guy," but you really have to get what you can out of RBs while they are on your roster. Right now Swift is on the last year of his contract. The Eagles didn't keep Sanders after his best season.

Anyone get YouTube Sunday ticket that had directv Sunday ticket? How’s your impression been so far?

No complaints thru the first two weeks.

BLG and Kempski have been awful with getting BGN podcasts out since like the second week of training camp.  How is their no new pod yet since the game a week ago?  It's a shame because it's the beat Eagles pod but clearly one or both of them isn't really committed to it.  Guessing it's Kempski.

Still want to see Sydney Brown in the slot

I know Chris Simms has some hot takes but he really liked Sydney Brown also.  Had him as his #2 safety and compares him to Antoine Winfield Jr.
