Terrestrial OTA has the shortest latency, anything that bounces off a satellite would have the worst.

Literally they gave up nothing for Akers. They swapped a 2026 6th for a 2026 7th for a guy on a rookie contract for another year. That wouldn’t be the reason they wouldn’t do it over a late round pick that’s a swap.

You should get over the air from a network affiliate first.  It's free and the picture quality is generally very good.

Cause Hazelton is so far away... comes down to speed of electricity versus speed of light.  Then there's the question of where the signal is originating from... and how long it takes for them to get it.  Satellite speeds should be pretty uniform with only minor differences.  But, hard wired connections, the speeds will be far more variable... including if the wires leading to you have any bad connection spots, 'kinks', etc.

I mean starting from provider until it's decoded on your TV. DirecTV (and thus Sunday Ticket) always had garbage latency because of the extra round trip it had to make before it hit your dish.

Yeah, but why would you make a move like that if you thought you might be tanking?  Even if it is just swapping up picks in later rounds, it means they are at least thinking about ways to improve this year as Akers is on a 1 year contract.

I think it's the other way around.  Penix is a guy that's 100% raw, nothing he does makes sense at this point.  His footwork, throwing motion, decision making, nothing is screaming 'franchise QB'.   He puts up numbers and wins.   If he can be coached like Mahomes has, he has that potential.  Caleb, despite my apprehension after his transfer...is a pretty darn good prospect!
