Thank goodness.  That mini-bye week helped get everyone healthy.

Now if only we could get Nakobe back on the field...

Yeah, but why would you make a move like that if you thought you might be tanking?  Even if it is just swapping up picks in later rounds, it means they are at least thinking about ways to improve this year as Akers is on a 1 year contract.

I think it’s basically why not take a chance on a player they probably liked during the draft evaluations for basically nothing and on a cheap rookie contract.

Cause Hazelton is so far away... comes down to speed of electricity versus speed of light.  Then there's the question of where the signal is originating from... and how long it takes for them to get it.  Satellite speeds should be pretty uniform with only minor differences.  But, hard wired connections, the speeds will be far more variable... including if the wires leading to you have any bad connection spots, 'kinks', etc.

Cable originated in Hazleton.  I'm in the TV capital of the world!

I think it's the other way around.  Penix is a guy that's 100% raw, nothing he does makes sense at this point.  His footwork, throwing motion, decision making, nothing is screaming 'franchise QB'.   He puts up numbers and wins.   If he can be coached like Mahomes has, he has that potential.  Caleb, despite my apprehension after his transfer...is a pretty darn good prospect!

I watch both a ton living out on the west coast. Williams does stuff that mahomes does where you think it’s an impossible play yet he finds a way to make it. I think he resembles way more mahomes then penix size and how he plays.

Doesn't every signal go to a sattellite before going to a TV provider?

Probably not every one,  but let's assume most, or say all,   where does it go after the network affiliate?

The network affiliate sends it a lot of places.  One of the places they send it is directly to you via a digital over the air signal.  It goes to cable, and then cable sends it to you.  It goes to a satellite company and then to you.

In the old days, long ago, before dish and directv and other dish providers,  there were some people who spent a lot of money on really big satellite dishes.  those dishes didn't communicate with a provider with one satellite in the air that communicates with you, but with many different satelites, and you had to move the satellite dish to pick up a particular satellite,  like an antenna.  I would think that if you could still do that,  you could get the game coming off the satellite at the same time as the tv station does.

Watched the Bucs game with Chicago (let's hear it for the condensed version!).  Some impressions:

The Bucs played zone the whole game. Generally rushed four guys. Very few blitzes. Lavonte David has lost a step. So has Winfield. Vea is still a load.

Mayfield played very well, made some terrific throws. He's not a quick release guy so there should be sacks and QB hits available. His protection was spotty. Even Wirfs got beat a few times, particularly to his inside shoulder. Their RT and RG are pretty bad. Their running game is meh and very vanilla. Evans had a good game but most of his big plays were against busted coverages.

The Bears are terrible.

It honestly didn't look like much on the sidelines and seemed like people were being overdramatic about it IMO

Mahomes of today...yes.  Mahomes of college, no.  I get what you're saying though.

The last paragraph doesn't make much sense compared to the rest

I was pretty late to the party as far as watching the television coverage of the Vikings game is concerned. A couple of things I noticed:

* The hullabaloo about the argument between Hurts and Brown made it seem like it was going to be much more of an incident than it was. It was a mild discussion is all. What an overreaction.

* I can’t believe Eagles fans argued that Penny didn’t hold. It looked textbook. I don’t care if the defender fell over his teammate or not. He was still held.

* The national complaints about the Eagles effectiveness on sneak plays are absurd. There is very little pushing going on on those Hurts runs. If anything, they’re pushing Mailata. And I don’t believe it is illegal to push blockers from behind.

Trevon Diggs might be done for the year. Hurt his knee and left on crutches

We'll see what the injury report says. Others said he wasn't in pads. He's likely in concussion protocol still so maybe he was just doing light work

That’s quite an assumption

Saying he might be done for the year when he can't stand on one of his legs?

Are you sure he's even injured? I get MRI's on the daily just to make sure everything's good

Good call. Probably just a bee sting.

Let's see how the Gints and Whiners get on tonight.

Lol Brice Young benched for Dalton

I appreciate the NFL scheduling the 49ers - Giants for a work night.  We should be able to watch the 9ers demolish the Giants in the first half, then still get a good night's sleep and wake up ready for work tomorrow.
