Are you sure you want to make such an egregious assumption?

The last paragraph doesn't make much sense compared to the rest

What heard is that before the game, Jalen took the last chocolate milk carton when EVERYONE knows the last one is always saved for AJ. And to top it off, Jalen dropped it. Smitty told AJ to stop being a beeyotch and crying over spilled milk right before the cameras caught up to them on the sideline. This is courtesy of my best friend's next door neighbor's aunt's hairdresser.

We'll see what the injury report says. Others said he wasn't in pads. He's likely in concussion protocol still so maybe he was just doing light work

The tension is killing me.

Is that really a concern?  2nd round pick Cam Jurgens played basically 0 snaps the entire season last year.

Smith is a long term pick, not a short term solution.  Jalen Carter is both.  Teams get into trouble trying to find the short term solution to the detriment of ignoring the more raw player with the greater upside... or taking the player with the greater upside and then throwing them to the wolves too soon.

Jergen’s literally had no where to play last year. The positions are completely different. We should just be more creative with our setups with him and Reddick on the same field more. Here explosive, fast, can play games, drop back, and roam. I’d rather see what he can do that have Barnett still running the wrong way lol. Would just like to see him more than 13 snaps, sue me.

The entire Core 4's leadership will be tough to replace. Unusual to have 4 guys like that for 10+ years.

It’s true that they will be difficult to replace, both on the field and off of it.

But the good news is it seems like we have some very high quality, high character guys on the team already. Hurts is the obvious guy that comes to mind, but it also seems as if Jordan Davis and Nolan Smith might develop into leadership roles.

Sydney Brown has the capacity to be a leader on this team as well.

He's injured.

Absolutely, I somehow forgot about him.

Jalen Carter will lead by example when he's ascending to become one of the best DTs in the NFL.

Kelce to me will be the hardest to replace. Cam seems pretty reserved and quiet, as does Dickerson.

Whatever happened to the league doing everything pink for breast cancer awareness month?

They don't need to be leaders right now though. Maybe they take that on when guys like Kelce move on.

Way too early 2024 draft talk...

OL, DL, or CB/S the position of most importance in RD1?

It's not October yet

Yeah, Kelce is special. I don’t think you can replace him really. There just aren’t too many HOF players with HOF intangibles to go with it.

Other guys on offense will have to step up. Hurts is the obvious guy, but we will probably see someone else emerge down the line. Perhaps it is the future RT replacement for Lane Johnson.

Jurgens is no shrinking violet. Right now Kelce is the voice of the OL but when he's retired Jurgens will step up. And I don't know where you got that view of Dickerson.

The have some immediate issues with age at CB.  S/LB, although needful, are day 2 positions.

Not a widely known fact that he was an Eagles draft pick.  Never made the squad.

That question was for the past couple of years really. Seemed like the league moved away from it being specific to breast cancer and made it more general

Really depends on how the year plays out. Is Reddick & Sweat getting extended? We have Smith developing but if one of those guys is out then DE is pretty high up the carts.

OL I think could be fine as long as Lane ends the year healthy and in a good place mentally.

S? No shot there.

CB? Absolutely a possibly due to age.

Watched the Bucs game with Chicago (let's hear it for the condensed version!).  Some impressions:

The Bucs played zone the whole game. Generally rushed four guys. Very few blitzes. Lavonte David has lost a step. So has Winfield. Vea is still a load.

Mayfield played very well, made some terrific throws. He's not a quick release guy so there should be sacks and QB hits available. His protection was spotty. Even Wirfs got beat a few times, particularly to his inside shoulder. Their RT and RG are pretty bad. Their running game is meh and very vanilla. Evans had a good game but most of his big plays were against busted coverages.

The Bears are terrible.

Why play man against Fields?  Just makes no sense.  Not sure what we'll see against the Bucs, but I think we'll also see a lot of zone... keeping Hurts in view.
