Interesting take.  What was/is your assessment of Nicholas Morrow’s performance on Thursday?

Solid. I actually was one of rare birds who didn't understand not keeping him on the 53. He's not going to blow anyone away in practice but he is a solid consistent type player with more experience than the others that made the team. Plus this was someone they researched and signed early on in FA. I didn't understand the not keeping him. So I am content there. I was a fan of Cunningham but he is not the same player. I am fine with him here at this stage however. Not sure how he looks as we get into the third stage of the season. Would have kept Evans and given him some play time. He could've been better than either Cunningham or Morrow. I feel like the Eagles now think they are fine there and let him know this which is why he requested to be dropped. Just a hunch. Franklin is easily two levels above these guys however which is why I would make the move, his contract just makes it more doable and enticing.

Eagles 25

Buccs 20

Bonus: Eagles get a safety.

Fall weather is here!

Sure looking like no Quez this Monday.  Matt’s suggestion about elevating Allen is growing on me.  Suspect it will be him or Ward with Mann.

Is it actually complicated?  The overswinging is great for long bombs when you square it up... but it also means a ton of swings and misses.  And when you don't make contact that much, you'll be much lower on the rankings for seeing eye hits, broken bat bloopers, etc.   You get lots of homers and lots of Ks.  Which is why Schwarber has basically the same number of singles and home runs.  If he didn't walk as much, it would be a horrific idea to have him at lead off.  As it is... it works, but its not my preference.  The batting avg at 0.198 is bad, but the OBP at 0.345 is decent.  In fact, he's second on the team in OBP, behind only Harper (who is definitely better suited for #3 or #4 than #1).   So, it's really hard to argue that they should put someone else at lead off.   Bohm is 3rd, Stott is 4th.  But since they have both limited their Ks this year and are making way better contact (I think Stott leads the league in 2 out hits), they are also better off in the lineup further down the lineup than #1.  Bohm in the 2 hole worked well while Turner needed to get right.  But, with Turner on track, he's better at #2.  So, that moves Bohm to #4-#6.   And he is delivering there.

Now that Turner is on track, an argument could be made to flip Turner and Schwarber... BUT, Turner is more likely to leg it out and not hit into a DP, whereas Schwarber is much more likely to hit into the DP given his lack of speed.  Equally, that also basically forces Harper to the #4 hole, to split up the lefties (Schwarber/Harper).  And that also pushes Stott to no higher than #6.

Schwarber, Turner, Harper, Bohm, Stott, Castellanos/Realmuto, Marsh, Realmuto/Castellanos, Rojas.   I think that's the best offensive/defensive balance you can have with this group... and the most balanced lineup.  (the Castellanos/Realmuto situation would flip flop based on home and road games.  Realmuto rakes on the road, but doesn't at CBP, for whatever reason.  No need to force the issue.  Just deal with it.  And both are veterans who should be able to handle the flip flop and the reasoning behind it.)

It's pretty common knowledge about the ish on the streets and the rampant issue it's became.  If you don't know you live under a rock.

Like I said it's not that I'm unaware I think it's overblown by the media, the last ten years homelessness has gone up in every big city in the world, Cali has a lot of homeless because it's a warm weather state.

I'm more focused on the why the increase in homelessness country wide

Could have something to do with 5 dudes who have more wealth than the bottom half of the population, if you aren't aware of that you're living under a rock.

Truth is that we didn't know.  We were on our way from Escalante UT to Ely NV, and headed west out of town on UT 21, and it is hard for me to pass up an ice cream stop ... and we both needed a bathroom break.

I'm definitely going to have to check that out, not sure the next time I'll be down that way but next time I am I'm not going to miss it.

Looks like they have a lot of good flavors as well.

I believe part of the thinking behind all this is the confidence they have in Dean and that they don't expect his injury to linger far into the season.

Gonna have to linger another 3 games, minimum.  Gotta hope that they only did the IR move to free up the roster spot.

Obviously they can't get him off IR early. But they can only elevate 2 players a week off PS and do that only 3 times per player. So it's not like having Evans on the PS is critical. I would imagine the Eagles are well aware of Dean's rehab progress.

FYI.  There could be close to 40%-50% Eagles fans in attendance for this game.

Florida has a huge Eagles fan base and  all the major Central Florida based Eagles’ fan clubs have been promoting this game for months

There are at least a half dozen - a dozen or more major Eagles events, tailgates, etc this weekend, and the day/night of the game.

Not much of a homefield advantage for the Bucs, imo.

They've essentially legalized shoplifting.  Businesses are closing down like crazy there.  When you allow for lawlessness you allow for the place to become a hell hole.

Yep, exactly.

We booked a few rooms in Clearwater Beach - huge Eagles party tomorrow.  Then going to Uber to the game on Monday night, then back to Clearwater - should be packed with Eagles fans all weekend.

Be sure to fly your :phil: flag too!

Mark Ingram acts like a 14 year old boy. Just painful to listen to him. Why do these networks think stupid antics are better than just honest pregame breakdowns and such?

They don't allow shoplifting the penalties for it arent high enough for police or prosecutors to care about.

Having said that crime in all major cities has increased, as has homelessness.SF and LA are big cities with big problems like most big cities.

I'm not really worried about the crime as much as the why?

Why don't similar big cities around the world have as high violent crime rates? Why do they have lower prison populations?

I have a few thoughts as do others who pay attention to these things for their jobs but that discussion is neither here nor there.

Question here is what do y'all think of cam Jurgens do far?

I'm by no means an expert on o line play, to me I think Jurgens has been fine, he has t wowed me at any point but I don't think he's been a liability or made any egregious mistakes either.

Colts going with the Philly backfield this weekend.

Yup that's what happens when one only averages 1 yard a carry

Not sure how much better Sermon will be but I'd guess he'll average more than a yard a pop.
