You do get that feeling, don’t you? I think he wants it but there ain’t enough money in the cap world to make that happen.

'You may say I'm a dreamer...'

Hope is that Jobe, Ricks, Ringo, and Goodrich pan out. At least two of them. Take that savings and bring Parsons back to Pennsylvania.

Yeah... but, getting it done right now.   And boy am I glad that I went to bed last night.   Seems like it was a miserable game.   And, as great as the no-no for Lorenzen was, he hasn't been close to as good as he was before that since then.

Just dropped him in the EMB Fantasy Baseball league. He hasn't been right since that no-no

If he is willing to sign a team friendly deal... he can make it happen, like Reddick did.  If he's going to demand top dollar, then he'll have to go elsewhere.  Chicago should have money.

Come on Micah. Ask for 40+.

If the Cowboys fail this year, and I think they will, they should strongly consider trading Micah Parsons and getting in the Caleb Williams/Drake May sweepstakes.   If Parsons has another good year, the draft capital he could return would be insane.

I don’t think Jerry Jones would ever do that, but I would worry about them long term if they did.

We drafted Nolan knowing Haason may pull some stuff next offseason. Get a nice picks package for him, BG retires, hand the Dline to Nolan and Sweaty J & pick up a mildly priced veteran

YouTube is paying the a ton though, right? I could see things leveling out, but in professional sports have salaries ever decreased across the board?

I don't know that professional sports salaries have ever decreased but I doubt they've increased as rapidly as they have in the past few years. It could also happen that there becomes less of a multiple between the highest paid players and the bottom of the 53. The most valuable players are always going to be paid more but how many times the salary of a backup O-lineman for example? The same observation could be made about non-sports compensation.

Reddick is the Eagles best pass rusher since Reggie White, Howie is locking him up I can guarantee that.

He's likely going to be pricey when his next contract is up

The Eagles should be working proactively between now and those future contract negotiations to make sure Reddick makes lots and lots and lots of endorsement money.  If they can help make that happen the negotiating position of Reddick and his agent may be a bit less rigid.

Ok guys.... If you want the Sunday ticket on YouTube and want the college discount,  I know the cheat code.....

Step 1. Login to YouTube with YOUR OWN EMAIL.

Step 2. Pull up a college roster from some obscure college and pick a player from their girls soccer team or whatever other girls team, make sure a birthday is listed.

Step 3. Go to the YouTube nfl sunday ticket link ON YOUR PHONE, on Google.  Click the link for that says you might be eligible for student/College discount.

Step 4. It will ask for college name, persons name and birthday only.  Enter the info you found online.  It will verify status and give you a link to pay

Step 5. Thank Captain F

Talk about extra steps that are ridiculous. As @vikas83 would advise, maybe stop being so poor.  I signed up for it before the June deadline for full price with the $100 discount.

There’s been a pretty significant increase in the cap. In previous years the cap would only go up by about $10 million a year. With the new TV deals in place, the cap is expected to go up about $30 million each year. The market is simply adjusting to that and you will see a leap in salaries for the next few years.

I don’t really look at the numbers the contract says, what really matters is the percentage it takes up against the cap. As long as that percentage stays the same, it doesn’t matter what the contract numbers are.

I think I calculated it out that in 7-8 years QBs will be making $100 million a year. Which sounds like a lot, but it still remains in the same percentage against the cap.

Didn’t Reddick say he wanted to finish his career here ?

Source?  Maybe they drafted him because he was projected to possibly go top 10 and he lasted until 31.  It was a dream scenario that fell right in Howie’s lap.

Here’s one to ponder:

GM for 1 season, average team. Need to make the playoffs to keep your job.

Do you sign Eli Manning or Troy Aikman?

I’ve seen Eli Manning do things that I’ve never seen Troy Aikman do. Conversely, I’ve seen Aikman win a lot of crucial games throwing for 150 yards with his HoF roster. Not saying Aikman was bad by any means, but don’t think he’s the slam dunk answer.

Aikman is a winning QB…Eli is 500 for his career.  Need to make the playoffs and keep your job, I guess there’s really only 1 choice.

These dudes are getting so greedy, in 3 years it's gonna reach a point where every star player is gonna be demanding 50m per and you'll be able to pay for 8 of them and 45 scrubs. Most dudes make more money off one contract than 99% of the country makes on two lifetimes and they demand more every year

Agree. I just don't think there will be a "bubble" that pops. I could see them slowing down, but they aren't dropping from where they are short of the entire US economy crashing.

Saddest part is when he got to hospital he was unconscious but apparently opened his eyes and looked around and started crying when he heard his daughters voice. I can’t even imagine. God bless him and his family.

NFL player trade value. Surprising twist, DeVonta on the same tier but slightly higher than AJ. They’re believers

And AJ said he never wanted to leave Tennessee. There’s no way if Haason has another big year that he isn’t asking for 30m$ per; and I can’t imagine Howie is ready to give a 30yo dude that with the depth we have

I agree that it should be aikman, but looking solely at win/loss record is kinda dumb here considering aikman was on one of the all-time stacked teams in the pre-salary cap era.

Don't blame the players. There's a salary cap for a reason. If GMs want to overpay for 3 players while hamstringing their ability to sign quality players elsewhere on the roster, that's their choice. Once that backfires enough times, you'll see it come to an end.

He's a Philly guy.  Howie will find a way to keep him here.
