My only concern with Smith so far is he looks visibly small out there - a few times when he was on the field Monday night I thought he was a corner at first glance.

Sounds silly but I think the number 3 might give an optical illusion as well. Smith is a lean, rocked up dude. If he was wearing 56, he wouldn't look as thin.

He did have the hardest hit on Mayfield for the night though. His time will come.

I'll take his 38-13 and make it my own.  And my prop bet is that we sack him one more time than he got sacked last week.  I mean, hey, why not?

Got it, but it would help if you tagged it with @mattwill  Thanks

Just saw Blankenship get called talcum Jenkins 😂

Heard it was going to be "Chalk Dawk"

Can we do this on sacks?

For the most part, our edge guys have been quiet.  I know Sweat has made some plays.  But collectively, they seem to be less impactful than last season.

Such a hater.

Sacks come in bunches. Getting plenty of pressures

I guess I’m the only one who finds nicknames based on the color of one’s skin to be distasteful.

I’m wondering how long Reddick is going to have that cast on his right thumb. I have a feeling he’s going to be quiet until he’s able to play without it. When that happens, watch out.

I wholeheartedly endorse the suggestion that every other DC in the league spend an inordinate amount of time trying to devise ways to stop our 1-2 yard carries.  You just gotta stop forward progress, folks.

So I tried to consolidate the draft trades over the past three seasons into the chart below.

Items highlighted in yellow were resources we had.  Red items were picks that were eventually made.  All the other ones were traded back and forth.

In summary, we turned Wentz, Pryor, Ertz, 2 first round picks, and a handful of Day 3 picks into....Smith, Brown, Davis, Carter, McPhearson, Johnson, and a second round pick next year.  Oh, and Tay Gowan.

The headline would be Wentz and two firsts for Smith, Brown, Davis, and Carter.  Again, roster building excellence.

Suggestions:

Expand the 4th column title to be "Drafted or Traded"  Then next to the first two show "Traded to _____" in their respective cells
Where more than one trade happened add a numerical suffix e.g. Indy1 and Indy2
Separate the Trade column into two, with the firsat entitled "Player Traded" and the second titled "Pick Traded"
Doesn't the Swift trade count?

Quite  We all saw what happened to Wentz when Clowney went head hunting on him.

It should go without saying, but perhaps coaches, with all their years of experience, should think about how to stop it.  There are ways and means

Not the only one.

Black Mamba? Chocolate Thunder? Black Beast?

Back to Deion. I really like the way he coaches and his approach to things. This is a great message. More of this and less of Prime is what's going to get them more real fans in the long run if you ask me. Fans that love the whole Prime thing will come and go.

You're not. Our society has determined that it's ok if the jokes are on whites.

Willie T. for ILB, not OLB.

Actually none of those historical players are OLBs.  As best as I can tell Reddick is our first OLB.
