He bet on his team. Not sure if this changes things though since he's already been suspended.

It might, they’re already retroactively changing previous suspensions

Jameson Williams’ suspension was retroactively changed and he’s now actually served more games than necessary so they ended his suspension before it was supposed to end.

Will they add a year to our guy? He could argue that wasn’t the rule he was consciously breaking at the time

they could really use someone other than Gainwell to wear defenses down and suck the life out of them. I guess seeing Boston Scott all these years, comparatively they are fooled in to thinking Gainwell is a big back.

Ras compare as RB - Gainwell v Ben VanSumeren (ex Michigan Fullback)

Taking the long view with these hamstrings. That's a good thing.

Sydney Brown is out?

I guess this is cool to see? Really silly that it got to the point where Blackburn was getting death threats and had to apologize in person. The hit wasn't that egregious to begin with and if it happened to any other team than Colorado, we never would have seen the highlight. The appropriate penalty was called and that should have been the end of it. Was happy to hear Deion and Travis Hunter respond the way they did, and nice to see that these two young men are showing more maturity than every talking head out there. Look forward to seeing Travis Hunter healthy again as he is a special player.

that isn't true actually.  The forward pass was made legal before teams started to invent or develop pockets.    Doesn't really matter in this context tho.

In the 20s or 30s or 40s or whenever,  you would see throwers backpedaling and throwing.

Frankly... they need to blow it up and start over.

@mattwill

Eagles 30 -13

Reddick gets a pair of sacks.  (Stipulation: A half sack in the box score is a full sack for this purpose.  He got the the QB.)

I'm guessing he will be suspended two years then, but we'll see. He was technically "indefinitely" suspended so I'm not sure he could argue anything since 2 years is technically a reduction from indefinitely.

The problem was more so the weirdo fans and the death threats. Kudos to Hunter for doing this PR stunt. Could have gone in a totally different direction.

He took an over on a Colts player rushing yards while he was on the Colts. Keyword on that tweet is "involves" so even though it's just a prop bet, I'd think they would still say it involved his team.

The weirdo fans and the death threats were a big problem, but allllll of the Colorado media fan boys saying how terrible that play was and that it had no place in football yada yada are equal to blame. They added WAY more drama to the play than there ever needed to be. Like I said, if this play happens in any other game, you'd never hear about it because it wasn't that bad. It was a late hit. They happen in every game.

Step 1- verified accounts overreact and post said overreaction

Step 2- weirdo fans see overreaction and add fuel to the fire

Step 3- verified accounts share other verified accounts overreaction

Step 4- weirdo fans get even more worked up

Step 5- Wash, rinse, repeat the cycle

How would a player fix a game besides playing poorly? You can easily see a ref is able to fix a game just by certain calls and flags

What's considered inside information and/or tipping?

Edit: added playing poorly because people keep quoting that scenario

Step 1: Dak Prescott puts a lot of money on the Cardinals

Step 2: Dak Prescott throws the Cowboys’ last chance into triple coverage

That is not good.   He knows the game plan, that's likely worse than just betting on a game outcome.  It's essentially insider trading.  If I was running the site, I'd ban him, because he's trying to cheat the system.

Interesting. So 2 and 3.

I should have added in that type of scenario. I was trying to think on how a player could fix a game in their favor because all they can do is bet that they play badly

It was pretty terrible. Emotions at play considering it knocked possibly their favorite player out for weeks. Fans gonna fan. I could only imagine what some Eagles fans would do if someone got knocked out for weeks on a cheap shot. Handful of weirdos in every fan group that go over the top. It's a microcosm that kind of reflects society if you think about it. Always a small loud subset of the group that gets all of the attention and gives the broader group a bad rep.

4th and 2, 1:50 left in the game. Team is down by 2 points but is driving. Receiver accidentally on purpose drops the ball, turnover on downs.  How would anyone prove the drop was purposeful? An official is going to have to be very good to defend his/her dishonest call against video replay evidence.

They could still fix a game by winning by only a certain amount.
