That's awesome to hear, sounds like it was a good call to stimulate her appetite.

Thanks, it could also be that I'm finally getting better at cooking edible meals

= Perhaps I'm overreacting to one game, but are we sure Quez is a better WR3 for this team than OZ? Quez is super fast but dumb. OZ is pretty fast and not dumb.

I'm not sure that Quez is a better WR3 than Devon Allen.

I don't believe you are crazy.  I was consistently and openly optimistic about Morrow throughout Training Camp and the Preseason.  I posted several times that the Bears did not use Morrow in a way that would bring out his potential.  Given what we have seen from the Bears this season thus far,is it hard to imagine the Bears using a player sub-optimally?

Chase Claypool is overrated to me.  He is still living off that 4 TD game vs the Eagles.

Pittsburgh usually has good WRs and they got rid of him.  If they thought he was worth keeping they would have done so.  He's a solid/OK #2 at best.

Random Eagles thoughts heading into the weekend...

- Don't know if there's a more athletic defensive front in the league. In the 5 man front, you've got Reddick (4.52), Cox/Williams (4.79/4.63), Davis (4.78), Carter (fast), and Sweat (4.53). And these guys are actually good. Nolan Smith (4.39) off the bench. A freakish group that we're fortunate to watch every week.

- What a different feeling now compared to 2020. Young talent galore on this team. In the last 3 drafts, the Eagles have drafted (or signed as a UDFA) a whopping 7 legit starters (Devonta, Dickerson, Williams, Davis, Jurgens, Blankenship, Carter) with talents like Dean, Nolan Smith, Steen, Brown, Ringo TBD. Also consider the AJ Brown trade, acquiring a 25-year-old star WR. Mailata and Sweat are still only 26. What a turnaround.

- I don't know how Justin Evans hasn't become more of a form tackler since all those injuries he had in TB. Seems like either his legs or neck are in danger every tackle.

And don't forget, the Eagles have 10 draft picks in the next draft (yes like 5 of them are in Round 5 lol) but the chance to use the Saints 2nd rounder with our 1st and 2nd rounders along with all of the other picks....will only further give this team a chance to build a core of young talent.

When I posted about the Travis Hunter hit, this is what I mean when I said the verified accounts are to blame for the overreaction and everything else. They used the exact same phrases and reacted the exact same way to a guy committing a penalty while making a football play. To react the same to a guy stomping on a players neck just proves my point.

I cant determine any wrongdoing in that vid either. No views clearly show a closed fist.

They get rid of most of their WRs.  He's just the latest.  Hines Ward was the exception. Plaxico Burress, Santonio Holmes, Emmanuel Sanders, Mike Wallace, Antonio Brown, JuJu Smith Schuster... it's a long list.

Not at the point that they let him go/traded him.  He’s overrated for sure though.

They got tremendous value back for him though in the trade and landed Joey Porter with that pick... top pick of Round 2.  Brilliant move by the Steelers, honestly.

Oh ya, they found someone dumb enough to take trash off their hands at a premium.

It's the Bears... they haven't done anything smart in about 3 decades.  What a crap organization, crap stadium, crap city.  Embarrassing.

Yeah... having 3 first round picks to start with going in to that draft will do that.

It amazes me that CFB is filled with ‘historic’ stadiums and none are that crap.

Those guys were there at least for several years.  Claypool only 2 and a half.

Boosters care about the history, the appearance and the ambiance.  Chicago... not so much.  Chicago still owns Soldier Field, and they don't want to fix it up properly... and the Bears don't want to invest in their own stadium.  They've messed that up six different ways, which is a shame.  It could be really nice.  But they have no idea what they are doing.  It was opened in 1924 and could really have the same charm as Lambeau Field if they had even one clue.

Yep.  Most were just allowed to go via free agency, as the Steelers don't do the big money thing in FA very much.  But, with the return on investment for Claypool... how could they not move on from him, knowing they can replace him in a moment given their track record?  All I'm saying is, the fact that Pittsburgh moves on from a WR quickly is in no way an indictment on the player, in and of itself.  That's their MO.  They don't keep WRs around long because they can draft them so well.  So, they burn through them and replace them in the draft constantly.  What I am saying is that there is really no correlation between the Steelers keeping or letting go of a WR and his ability level.  They pretty much let them all go... and very quickly.  Almost none get a second contract with the team.  And it's kind of smart for them.  It allows them to invest money in other positions and not have the bloated WR salary holding them back.  And if a team offers an extremely high second round pick for a guy they know they can replace easily... how could they not pull the trigger on it in a year where they weren't going to make the playoffs?

We‘ve been killing it for sure. The extra picks were amazing. And the small trade ups the last years led to Smith, Davis and Carter.. Really wanted all three more than anyone pre-draft.

But next year we wont get close to the top ten. Let‘s see how that goes.
