Goodrich will eventually be cut for Roby.

We still need to carve out 2 slots on the roster: One for Dean + one for a punter.
- TE #4 is getting cut: Will be Calcaterra or Albert O
- I think Penny should be worried. Would be easy to release him and put him on the PS. No one wanted him in the off-season and he's an easy candidate to elevate.

I think they just keep rotating punters every 3 weeks through the practice squad until one actually proves themselves worth a damn.  Dean's spot will be opened by Jurgens going on IR.  No doubt he will since Dean went out on IR with a foot injury.

Unreal. Sigh.

And the Phillies leave runners stranded at 2nd and 3rd with no outs. That’s gonna hurt. Had a chance to pounce on the marlins and really put pressure on them and your middle of the lineup all came up small.

horrible at bat by harper. And realmuto after 162 games has shown he’s bad with RISP. He shouldn’t be right in the middle of your lineup for that reason.

2nd and 3rd no outs and no runs.  They could have mentally crushed that pitcher and chased him from the game very early.

You forgot to tag RTK. Can't have him missing updates.

Harper with a really bad at bat. Swung at everything and got himself struck out. Realmuto really shouldn’t be batting middle of the lineup especially at home. He’s been bad at home and with Risp all year. I much rather have gone castellanos 5th than stott then realmuto. Stott actually hits lefties better than realmuto (.282 vs .256)

I see that Jobe came in for a lot of criticism here. I thought that for the most part, he played very well. Last week too. There were some breakdowns but they were not talent-related. By that I mean he can be coached out of the mistakes he makes.

What is Nakobe Dean's status? Can May he come back next week or is it the week after?

I agree. Jobe is just fine out there. He might be a guy you want to replace if hes a 4 year vet and hes only this good. However, for a 2nd year player who was a UDFA and really just getting his first opportunity this year hes probably performing above expectations and I think that gives hope about further potential.

Hes probably not above average at all. But I think he is "good enough".

At the same time, I see the Roby news, and though he may be washed up Im glad to play Bradberry back at his natural position. And that means Jobe is back off the field. Im ok with that as well.

1. He doesn’t jump inside.

2. There is no inside help.

3. He’s right on the receiver.

Sorry disagree on all 3, I've watched the play over and over and the commentators replayed it.

Having said that looks like with the signing of Roby bradberry will be back on the outside where he belongs soon enough while roby holds down the nickel.

I rarely watch the Phillies living outside of the market but their playoff atmosphere is so legit.

I like the 2008 Phillies team better than any single Eagles team

Here's the play a little earlier. Jobe is NOT playing leverage to either side. He's squared up on Dotson (green circle). My point about Edmunds in my earlier post is that he does nothing to help. Edmunds is too deep. In fact, the Eagles are triple covering the inside receiver (yellow circle). You talk about inside help but there is NO inside help. As it happens, if you look at the preceeding play, Jobe is also squared up on Dotson.

I disagree with your view heartily but you are welcome to it.

Exactly what I am seeing. How he beat out Wallace is beyond me.  I feel the Eagles played so soft all game because of him and he still was bad.

Had the chance to break Luzardo but now he’s dialed in

Yep. In the playoffs when you tend to not take advantage of a situation like the Phillies had, it usually comes back to bite you in the ass. You cannot get runners at second and third and not score. That is such a huge sigh of relief luzardo to get out of it giving up 0 runs. Probably couldn’t have started and any worse and he navigated through it. So he likely more relaxed then would’ve been if the Phillies tacked on those two runs

I don’t understand how we can say Jobe played very well.  Doesn’t compute for me.

The stats seem to show he played fine.

Awesome AB from the kid.

The stats show that the Eagles have one of the worst pass defenses in the nfl, so who didn’t play fine?  When bad qbs are passing up and down the field at will, someone is a problem.  We putting all of this on Desai?  It’s not all Edmunds.

Hes getting targeted, gave up a deep bomb the other week and the game tying TD Sunday.

WOOOOO

There we go. Got a bohmer

@RememberTheKoy

Bohm is so clutch

If I’m the marlins I’d actually pitch around harper to face realmuto who’s awful with RISP.

Ugh Harper shouldn’t be swinging at that.  They were going to be happy to give him 1st and weren’t going to give him anything to hit in that AB.

That was their plan but Harper went chasing.

He’s trying to do too much. The greatness he had last postseason was cause he was locked in and not just free swinging. He forced teams to have to throw strikes or take the walk.
