Winning the division IS worrying about seeding though.  As the division winner, you get no worse than the #4 seed, which guarantees at least ONE home game.  As the division winner, you could get the #2 seed, which guarantees TWO home games (if you win the first one, obviously), and then winning the division also means you could be the #1 seed, giving you all the playoff games at home.

If you don't win the division, your best result is the #5 seed which guarantees you are on the road for games 1 and 2, and practically guarantees that you are on the road for all 3... though there is a slim chance that #6 or #7 could also win their 2 games and you get to hose.

I know we don't like the 49ers, but the division is ALWAYS the first priority.   The 49ers might get their QB killed again... it happened 4 times last year.  Who is to know what their season will hold?  We will pull 49ers over Dallas... and then we take care of the 49ers ourselves.

If you are a team that is just happy making the playoffs, then the priority is for your division rivals and all the middling wild card contenders to lose as much as possible.

If you are a team that expects to win the SB, then you want the best teams in the nfl to show cracks and to lose.  That means caring about who the Chiefs add at the deadline and rooting for the best team to lose (SF) when SF plays Dallas.

Is Mile Sanders done in the NFL after this season?

Signed a 1 year deal for the most money of any FA RB this season and 4 games in he has 158 yards on 2.9 YPC and 1 TD.

He should be able to get a near vet minimum deal to be a backup somewhere you would think.  But his days as a feature back are probably over after this season.

When the Eagles win the division comfortably, have to play a wild card game, and have to travel to SF for the nfccg, we’ll all wish Dallas beat SF.

This is a real possibility.  They probably would’ve competed with us for the number one seed last year, but they started the wrong QB.  I know some people still like to bash on Purdy because he’s had a great situation, but he is still doing what he needs to do… A lot of their success is due to him and his decision making.

We knocked him out early last year.  As they say, no one will ever know what would’ve happened.  I personally think we still would’ve won the game. But this year? Now he has a full off-season, and he’s growing in the system.  Yeah, it helps to have Christian McCaffrey… we all know that.

Part of me wants both teams to be undefeated when the Eagles meet them…and then to be the first team to beat him in a "full” game (anybody else notice how a lot of the media members are saying he’s still undefeated as a starter… without even mentioning the playoff game?)

The other part of me wants them to lose for record reasons and seeding…

Signed a 4 year deal.

Controlling our own destiny includes knocking Purdy out again, IMHO.

He signed a 4yr/25 mill deal with Carolina

So those of us in Ireland and the uk will have to suffer through three hours of Neil Reynolds and the sky sports NFL presentation. Christ. Anyway hopefully it’s another win this Sunday.

I’m jealous

Wow, what seemed like a crappy deal at the time now looks great for Miles.  Although being on such a dogshit team can't be fun.

It’s a shame I won’t be able to see the niners hopefully go to town on the cowboys on Sunday night. I hope the niners do so we can temper some of the usual Dallas hype.

@mattwill

Eagles 27

Rams 35

Kupp and Puka Nacua combine for 250+ receiving yards.

 Because you fear him?

Yuck…if that happens then we would be the ‘22 Vikings like one poster said (think it is e45).  We’d be 4-1 with only a +7 point differential.  That would not be a good omen…

I saw where you said you had intended to quote me…

It would be ugly for sure, but I try not to over react to one game. The Jets are the following week and could be a "get right” game. I’m hoping both coordinators can start showing improvement and we can start getting healthier. Of course if we don’t improve in either area, then the ‘22 Vikings feeling could very well be our reality. I sure hope not.

Those fans will be his boss some day soon. It doesn't look like the RT gig is working out.

I wouldn't go with a 1st because Howie is using his 1sts to balance the cap. I'd have the same reluctance but not as much with a 2. In the best of worlds, a 3rd and Barnett for Burns.

What 3rd?

Can’t trade what you don’t have yet.  So what 3rd?

good point. I didn't check.

Would think the NFL would know one of the symptoms from a concussion is combativeness.
