great catch by Kaden Prather for the Maryland TD. 1 arm while being interfered with, other arm held back.

Seriously.  And this Braves team is likely the best Braves team we’ve faced in the post season.

That said, this Phillies team from top to bottom is a better and more cohesive team than last year’s team.

I think it could be a good series.   Hopefully we can at least split in Atlanta and take both home games.  Wouldn’t want to see a game 5 in Atlanta, tbh.

I'm not sweating a road game in LA in week 5. If we lose, we're 4-1. The Washington game really mattered because of NFCEast tiebreakers.

I'm way more interested in seeing whether the defense learns to handle motion and bunches. That is most concerning moving forward.

I would feel the same way you have described, but it is an NFC game, so the tiebreakers with the 49ers are definitely in play, so I have a few more drops of sweat than you have.

I was initially concerned because he's a fairly big name.  Then I looked up how old he is and what he's done in the last 3 years.

Even the NFL isn't sure what he's done until his next drug test.

he might be. but there are a lot of OL currently ahead of him. Im sure the board will shift a lot between now and the draft so who knows.

Im looking for versatile OL.

Im torn because I love the prospects of the Blankenship/Brown safety tandem but Im interested in a S/CB hybrid player who can start out as a nickel but fill in at S in case of injury, and eventually move outside. Kinchens sounds like he can handle it all but not sure if he would make it till our 1st round pick.

I’m hoping Kalen King comes in tad less than 5’10” as he has that inside/outside versality - but given where Witherspoon went last draft being sub-6’ isn’t a millstone.

Graham Barton is currently 45th on TDN's top 100 prospects. He is a potential 5 position player along the OL. And despite his ranking right now, they still project him as day 1 pro-bowl caliber starter. This is supposed to be an insanely deep OL class.

The OL class is insanely deep. There are 7 OTs with perennial pro bowler type of upside based purely on their physical gifts:

Fashanu — Penn State

Alt — Notre Dame

Latham — Alabama

Mims — Georgia

Suamataia — BYU

Morgan — Arizona

Guyton — OU

I expect that at least the first 5 of those names will be gone by the time we pick at 32. Morgan and Guyton would both be excellent prospects to groom for a year under Stoutland, but I don’t think they would offer much — even as depth — during their rookie year.

Considering we have two second round picks, it’s definitely possible that the Howie Roseman will look to move up for Mims or Suamataia, perhaps even Latham if he unexpectedly drops out of the top 10.

There are also some really interesting mid to late round prospects. One guy to keep an eye on that I think Howie will target is Yale OT Kiran Amegadjie. Huge at 6’5” 325 lbs but has athleticism. Tough to say where he gets drafted but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a day 2 pick when all is said and done.

Surprised Irsay caved… I still thought there was a possibility he could be traded. I’m sort of glad… Because I was afraid the Cowboys might be in the mix.  I still feel they are pretty thin at RB, and Pollard won’t last.

I could only hope the cowboys would tie up tens of millions of dollars into a second running back.

Right… I agree would be stupid long-term. But he certainly would help them this year. I’m not as high on Pollard as most people. Taylor’s a better fit for what they want to do on offense

We're not going to get the 1 seed. The 49ers' schedule is a breeze.

I just realized that I'm going to be down in Atlanta on Monday for work. Oof, very tempting.

Should be fairly cheap for you, at least compared to CBP.

Should go. Tickets are reasonably priced.

@mattwill.   Injuries may be an issue on both teams.  Think Sweat will get home this week and Reddick a game removed from having the cast off.  Donald will be a challenge as will the plane flight.  So will the Ram receivers.  Desai will cause more grumbling with his prevent.  Really just needs to slide up the coverage a few yards.  Game gives me pause.

Eagles 32  sheep 24

Bonus: Slay shows his experience with Stafford and gets an interception

Mini bonus: Eagles move their average points per game to 30 points and break the 25 then 34 repetitions by hitting my projection this week.

Nonrelated bonus: cowpads and whiners beat the crap out of each other to the level it impacts the rest of the season.

Can't wait to hear this quote every day for a month straight if we lose this series. Why do people put this out to the public?

It all looks right this week…

42-20 Eagles

Swift 3 TDs

Facts are facts.  Why fear mentioning what is plainly there to be seen?  Atlanta and the Phils have matched up a few times over the years, and the Phillies have won them all.  It is what it is.  It isn't bulletin board material, it's history.   This will be a great series.   But, whichever team loses it, they will feel it was a disappointing end to the year.

By the way, the good news is that the Braves are used to that disappointment.  They'll be fine.

Yeah, it's not bad at all. Found a 200 section seat for less than $200 after fees.

I think you can add Graham Barton from Duke to that list, and a dark horse I would keep an eye on is Kiran Amegadjie from Yale

I haven't been following that situation closely, so I don't know who was looking for what...but if that's the Colts caving, I think that's a real reflection of the state of affairs at RB.  Taylor is probably the most valuable RB in the NFL...24 years old.  Only got 3 years.

That basically means no RB is ever getting a 4 year deal again.
