I haven't been following that situation closely, so I don't know who was looking for what...but if that's the Colts caving, I think that's a real reflection of the state of affairs at RB.  Taylor is probably the most valuable RB in the NFL...24 years old.  Only got 3 years.

That basically means no RB is ever getting a 4 year deal again.

Fans out here are happy. For now…

Yeah gotta win 3 games compared to two. So could’ve piggy backed Sanchez/walker with Ranger if the marlins series got to a game 3.  game 4 is likely either walker or Sanchez start with lorenzen piggybacking them after the first time through the lineup

I think part of the reason it was three, Richardson would be due for an extension at that point and you’re going to have to pay him if he looks as good as he has. You don’t want to be paying a running back a lot of money, and then also paying your quarterback a ton of money.

Got realmuto out of the 5 hole  castellanos tends to hit better in that 6-7 spot over the past couple weeks

This is why Howie Roseman is an elite GM. You never pay the RB, top RB wages. At the same time time, by exception, I may pay Swift for around Miles Sanders money ($6M or so). Cuz he's from Philly and that would be a good value, relatively speaking. But I may still be hesitant even for Swift and just draft someone. Regardless, they just tend to break down and age horribly. And yes 3 year deals will be the max from here on out for RB extensions.

Eagles-34

Rams-17

Finally, a full 60 minutes of solid football in a pseudo-home game for the visitors.

BONUS:

Pick 6 for Bradberry..

2 sacks for Morrow..

From the Colts perspective it makes sense. The one time it makes sense to pay a proven, top flight RB is when the QB is making pennies on the dollar. It's really only guaranteed for two years so they're really at the mercy of whether Richardson works out anyway.

The OL class is insanely deep. There are 7 OTs with perennial pro bowler type of upside based purely on their physical gifts:

Fashanu — Penn State

Alt — Notre Dame

Latham — Alabama

Mims — Georgia

Suamataia — BYU

Morgan — Arizona

Guyton — OU

I expect that at least the first 5 of those names will be gone by the time we pick at 32. Morgan and Guyton would both be excellent prospects to groom for a year under Stoutland, but I don’t think they would offer much — even as depth — during their rookie year.

Considering we have two second round picks, it’s definitely possible that the Howie Roseman will look to move up for Mims or Suamataia, perhaps even Latham if he unexpectedly drops out of the top 10.

There are also some really interesting mid to late round prospects. One guy to keep an eye on that I think Howie will target is Yale OT Kiran Amegadjie. Huge at 6’5” 325 lbs but has athleticism. Tough to say where he gets drafted but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a day 2 pick when all is said and done.

Just trying to hype their own game? If you asked me about great NFL rivalries, Dallas/SF isn't even a thought.

Doesn't Dallas actually have to win to consider it a rivalry

I don't see how Michigan doesn't juset destroy Ohio St this year

Tells me they want to be ready to use Lorenzen out of the pen for this series.

The interesting thing to me is that they went with Pache over Wilson.  Wilson actually offers more flexibility than does Pache.  Wilson offers more as a power bat as well.  So, they want speed and defense, not more power.   Which is interesting, because Pache didn't exactly make me think that he was a great defensive asset out there.   He's better than Schwarber, obviously.  But, so is Wilson.   So, the platoon in LF will be Marsh and Pache.  I can't say that I like that.  I'd rather just roll with Marsh in LF than Pache.    And then there's Cave... he and Wilson seem like the same guy to me... except Wilson bats from the right side, Cave from the left.  And Wilson can play 3B AND 1B, LF, RF.   Cave is LF, RF, 1B only.

Crazy goal line stand for OK over Texas.

Love the lineup.

@mattwill

Eagles - 27

Rams - 24

Bonus: D gets a turnover late in the game to seal the deal.

One of the best Red River Rivalry's I've watched in some time.

The offense was very close to having a bigger game last week. Felt there were 2-3 more TDs that could have happened with a slightly better throw. There was one to AJ down the left sideline, another in a similar play to DeVonta, and then the pass to Swift.

I think this week they are able to connect better and the defense makes the rams one dimensional.

Rams - 24

Eagles continue to keep the run game in check and no Rams player has more than 50 rushing yards.

Pache is starting game two with fried being a lefty on the mound. I’m guessing they like his ability in that ball park to field better than Wilson. Kind of think Wilson’s lack of mlb experience and bigger outfield to cover in atlanta is likely why. Pache also was a former Braves top prospect so might be a little topper hoping for some revenge against the organization that traded him away.

They knocked Dallas out of the playoffs two years in a row. Not the best rivalry but it’s a newer one.

We're not going to get the 1 seed. The 49ers' schedule is a breeze.

Having to go into SF for the NFC Championship game is going to be a problem.  That's why it's in our best interest for SF to lose to DAL tomorrow.

That plus a win vs. SF at home later in the season gives us a 2 game lead on them for the #1 seed.

Not a fan of that thinking.  Pache has been a disappointment in the bigs.   I could see the MLB experience piece, but then again, Orion Kerkering is on the roster, and he's got the least experience in the entire playoffs.   I think they just don't see Wilson as the guy he has been with the big club.  Super small sample size, but he's got a 0.313 BA, 0.500 OBP.  He's got 3 stolen bases.  He's walked a bunch, so he has good plate discipline.

Pache... Not close in any of those categories.  0.238 BA, 0.319 OBP... and only 2 SB compared to Wilson's 3.  Which is interesting to me.

Pache just doesn't seem like a great defensive outfielder, and given the lack of offense, his defense needs to make up for it.   It just doesn't seem to be doing it.  So, I would eliminate the platoon and just ride with Marsh.   The splits for Pache are BRUTAL.  0.314 vs. lefties, but a meager 0.121 vs righties.  So, he needs to come out as soon as they make a pitching change.  That's worse than Rodolfo Castro... which boggles the mind.   Meanwhile, Marsh is only 0.229 vs lefties, but that's light years ahead of Pache vs. righties.  And Marsh is just a better defensive outfielder.

I guess what I am saying is... I just don't see it with Pache at all.   Wilson has a tiny sample size, but has the 6th best OPS against lefties in MLB.  I think he's the only Phillies player over 1.000 OPS vs. lefties.

Nah, Eagles are planning to not punt tomorrow.  🤯.  They are aiming at Miami's 70 number.  :flex:
