Unreal play by Williams

Played an Oktoberfest party tonight. So didn't get to see the Phillies defeat my Braves. Not sure I want to watch the recording lol. How does a historic offense get blanked at home?

Yuck. Gotta erase it and get a win in Game 2.

Some really slick defense for Phillies especially Trea Turner and Bryson Stott- also Philly set playoff record for stolen bases -- 5 each.

Bama earlier could have kneeled it 3 times and ran out the clock.  Instead they threw a pass incomplete to stop the clock.  Bama ended up winning anyway but still made it harder than it should have been.  Announcers were confused why.  It's either some of these coaches are idiots, which I don't think Saban is, or teams are scared to kneel down because it makes them look like p****es or something.  It's weird.

As a Dodgers fan I was kinda hoping the Phillies would take out the Braves for us since there's no way LA is beating the Braves.  But it looks like the Dodgers might lose to the D-backs anyway.

I think we can all agree, the catcher's interference call is why the Phillies won.  Without that, the final score is 2-0 and the Braves obviously win the game.

Yeah about that, clearly it was such a bad call by the umpires /s

I spy laces being hit by the bat

Someone had a video explaining it on Twitter. Apparently the laces on the glove count why a lot of catchers shorten them

Arizona going to overtime against usc on a botched FG as time expired. Pac 12 after dark

I know all you east coast fans are probably asleep, but this USC-Arizona game is wild. USC had a chance to kick the game winning field goal, botched the snap, OT time!!!

also is Caleb Williams crumbling a tad bit under pressure?

every time I watch the Dodgers I say to myself I don’t know how they won as many games as they did this year. I look at that pitching staff and I don’t think it’s very good. Kershaw isn’t the same anymore and he misses a ton of time. I get you guys had a bunch of injuries and your urias was an idiot. But that rotation is not very good imo. The bullpen is solid and you guys can hit. It feels like that team was set up to win a lot of regular season games. but when you get to the postseason and you have to face better pitching like you guys are going to with Kelley and gallen (potential 4 times in that series) you guys we’re gonna be in trouble.

also, you guys need to just cut ties with Dave Roberts. He’s not the guy.

I’m so incredibly mad at Arizona’s coaches for not going for the win and going for two. As an underdog you always go for the win from 2 yards away when given the chance.

I am an anomaly. Eagles fan who grew up in south Georgia. My dad was a diehard Broncos fan. So had no allegiance to the Falcons.

The Braves were a part of my sports zeitgeist as a kid in the 90s. They were on every night on TBS. It's a crazy world.

This Arizona-USC game is really amping my buzz.

Carter gets 2 sacks

Caleb Williams might be the best college QB I have ever seen.

On the day where he played perhaps the worst game of this career, he still managed to singlehandedly Superman his team to a win.

Please get drafted to an AFC team.

To the Dodgers and Braves fans in here, eat a ————>. Let’s go Phillies!!!

RISE AND SHINE EAGLES FANS.  Another Gameday and WEEK 5 is here.  This time we fly out to LA to take on those RAMS. The last two NFC Champions face off against each other.  The Eagles and Rams have a long history.  The Series goes back all the way 85 years to 1937.  The Eagles won their 2nd Championship in a Row in 1949 against the Rams.  They lead the All-Time series 22-20-1.  The Eagles have faced the Cleveland, LA and St Louis Rams throughout their history.  Now they are back in LA again.   Since that 2002 NFC Championships when Mcnabb and the Eagles came close to upsetting the Greatest Show on Turf Rams.  The Eagles are 7-3 against the Rams.   Now they are back to take them on in their house.  Matthew Stafford is the best and most experience QB we have faced this season.  He's much better than Mac Jones, Cousins, Baker and Sam Howell.  He also has some really strong weapons with Cupp returning.   Don't get me started on that Beast Aaron Donald and the Rams Defense.   This is definitely going to be the toughest matchup for our Birds.

With that said, this Rams Team is coming off a Super Bowl Hangover after winning.  The Birds though they lost the Super Bowl are off to a much better start than the Rams did.  Also this year they've been a little uneven due to injuries.   The bad news, it seems QB's outside of Baker have done well against our Defense.   The Good news, our Defense has played much better on the Road this year.  They are only allowing 15 PPG.    The Offense is scoring 25 PPG on the Road as well.   From the looks of things, the Rams seems to not match up great with the Eagles when they play.   I don't think that changes today. I expect the Defense to force Stafford into some mistakes. He's also dealing with injuries so his mobility may be affected.  They will put up some points for sure but it won't be enough.  I also think Jalen and the Offense will put up the most points on the Road this year.  I kind of see this as the Eagles keeping control and holding off the Rams.  I also expect a balanced attack so we could be looking at our 4th straight 400 yard Offensive Performance.   Birds keep on truckin to 5-0.

BIRDS - 31

RAMS - 17

JALEN - RUSH TD

DEVONTA - TD

GOEDERT - TD

SWIFT - RUSH TD

JAKE - FG

DEFENSE - Multiple Sacks, INT, Fumble
