12-5 average…which I predicted as well as many others.  If I’m being completely honest, I hope we get to 12.  Nobody knows how hard the schedule is until it’s actually played, but it does appear to be much tougher on paper than last year.  I have one more loss than a year before due to the tougher schedule, and one other additional loss due to my belief that our injury luck will not be as good as it was.

Here’s to hoping we don’t suffer any major season ending injuries.

Yeah they announced it on their podcast, but won't say where they are going next until next week. Still covering the Eagles.

I have an Athletic subscription but honestly don’t really read their stuff that often. I do listen to the podcast regularly, and they do a good job when Bo allows Zach to speak.

Will be interesting to see who they hire to replace them. McManus would make sense with ESPN’s cuts. I saw the job description posted and a veteran reporter could make over $100K. They will have no shortage of applicants, even if the job has high stress with having to hit view numbers and pump out X number of podcasts/tweets/etc.

Nothing wrong with you at all. The only problem is it's not the same as it was back when you probably enjoyed it. It wasn't health food back in the day, but it's mostly chemicals now and it doesn't taste the same. The same with soda. Kids today don't remember it in glass bottles with real sugar. It was so much better.

Even as a young to nearly middle aged adult, I used to love eating cereal from my childhood as snack. A box of Honeycomb, my favorite, eaten dry with a glass of milk on the side. I had a big cereal bowl that I was given as a gift as a kid, and I’d fill it to the top and just devour the sugary sweetness. Loved it. Sometimes I’d opt for Frosted Flakes or Froot Loops or Sugar Pops. Or Cap’n Crunch. But Honeycomb was easily my favorite.

I noticed about fifteen years ago that all those cereals now taste like crap. Not literally of course, but they changed the formula to make the product more healthful for kids. Way less sweet. I understand their motivation but I find it sad to know I’ll never be able to experience that enjoyment ever again.

Seems like there is a strong possibility this has to do with with Bo and Zach announcing they are leaving The Athletic.

Probably will do a lot more podcasting and video now instead of just writing. My guess is the format to their stuff will be largely the same.

That's why most restaurants should put tips into a large pool and distribute evenly among everybody.  The dish washers, the bus boys, the hostesses, etc.  Most people nowadays are not dropping cash on the table to tip anymore.

I've read/heard where when tips are added to checks paid by electronic means, the staff doesn't see all of it, some is retained by the company. That has made me consider paying for the food with plastic and leaving cash for a tip. I'm not certain that's a thing but it wouldn't surprise me.

Hate the white on white.  Go with green pants.

I’m 100% certain there were posters who were fans/supporters of Hurts who were just tired of all the bashing he was receiving but also didn’t appreciate the over-the-top slobbering either and simply chose to stay out of the arguments altogether.

"over-the-top slobbering"

Which to the ignorant people like you was anyone who didn't consider Hurts to be terrible.

Fruity Pebbles

Rice Krispies with Marshmallows

Could never get enough of those two

Haven't had them in years

I bet they don't taste the same either

I’m curious why you are so quick to insult people (calling them "ignorant”), especially those who have remained polite in the past when dealing with you.

I think their NFL coverage and Brugler's draft coverage is decent but not worth the price.

Burglar’s guide is pretty nice. But like you said not worth the price for the whole year

Likely true.

I still eat cereal as an evening snack.   Just a great way to end the evening.

Yeah you were so polite with your "over-the-top slobbering" comment.

You're nowhere near as polite as you think you are.  You consistently made replies to me in this belittling manner either thinking you're so sly that I would not notice or you've somehow managed to be completely unaware that you were doing it.  I'll take the former on that.

Are you genuinely curious, or just turning a phrase?

So, you are suggesting I stick to the beefaroni.    Good suggestion.

Why deal with the canned taste?  I can make better beefaroni in less than 30 minutes from putting water on to boil and browning hamburger to finish although my preference is to save the burger and let it simmer so maybe 45 minutes.  And that allows you to adjust with different spices and additions.   You can make it a tad healthier using ground turkey. Don’t need the fat in the meat because of the spices.

So I was at the store yesterday, and I saw apple pie cinnamon toast crunch. And I was like I had to buy this. I loved their graham cracker cinnamon toast crunch. So I bought it and just had it this morning. It was delicious.

I’m really hoping the time off doesn’t hurt how hot he was. When you’re that hot I don’t think you want a day off or anything like that. But obvious he had too

Also, we really should get a notification to Jt realmuto. His numbers on the road or ridiculous. And his whole numbers are bad. Maybe that will get him going at home

You completely missed the point.  Obviously I could cook a better meal, but there's no nostalgia in that.

Everyone will think I am disgusting but use egg whites from the carton when eat cereal. An old bodybuilding trick to get an unhealthy snack but still get protein.

I had an Athletic subscription that I let expire 8/31. Glad I did. They tried to sucker me in to renew for $12 but with all those Philly beat writers leaving, including Charlie O Connor, no thanks. It's gone downhill for the past couple of years anyway.
