Who will be under. 500?

I think he secretly hates the Eagles.   He always predicts them to lose 😄😄.

He pitched really well last playoff game, and he pitched really well last post-season... until fatigue caught up to him.   All this Nola hate is ridiculous.

Because he folds at the wrong time like the Padres and Astros. Few good innings and then he gives up 3 or 4 runs.

Good thread to click on.

Whew.

@mattwill  I think the Jets give the Eagles a great opportunity to put together a complete game.

I'm looking at 38-7 dominance all around.

-DeVonta Smith 150 yards

-Nolan Smith sack

And he actually caught the ball.

Ironically, based on the outcome, the Eagles would have been better off had he not caught it.

Let’s keep in mind that Aaron Donald is 32 and isn’t quite Aaron Donald anymore.

Aaron Donald is still awesome. He just has less around him.

Imagine if they had brought back Hargrave instead of Fletcher Cox and what the 2 of them could do together. Hargrave essentially has a 2-year deal with cap hits of $6 million and $15 million. Now, if they bring Hargrave back they might not feel the need to draft Carter but if they still did...sheesh they would be unstoppable.

AHHHH thanks for posting this! I'd asked that question a few times on here and no one knew. I think the Eagles will just play this game with their punters all year. They will release Mann from the PS, bring Sippos back, call him up for 3 and then do the same again with Mann.

I heard the exact opposite on one of the pods, but it might have been ITB so yea

Hope they look for a WR3 in the draft.

Be a shame to waste Brown/Smith combo with a scrub like Watkins.

For the record, hope he reads this and goes off for 200 yards next week.

I can't imagine they'll re sign him and I can't imagine he'll want to.

So yeah I imagine they'll draft another WR or bring in like 50 UDFAs...

It’s a fluid situation

It’s basically guaranteed that he gets the first down IF Quez sprints forward, lowers his shoulder, and drives through whatever arm tackle the defender can pull off when slipping Smith’s block.

This is just basic physics. But it requires a decisiveness and willingness to "rough it up” that Quez clearly does not posses.

This is why I want Zac to get the majority of the snaps from now on. He’s a better blocker, more physical runner, and probably has more reliable hands. We give up vertical speed by benching Quez, which I don’t like, but it’s a trade off I’m willing to make.

And next draft I want at least 1 WR in the Deebo mold, who is both physical and elusive after the catch. There are a bunch of good ones who can be had in the mid rounds who could make a substantial difference on this team with minimal targets.

I've said this a few times and I'll say it again, Quez isn't a slot guy he's not a guy whose going to break tackles or make guys miss in the open field, he's. Straight line speed guy who can occupy a deep safety.

Giving him a couple bubble screens a game to keep him gruntled isn't really his strong suit.

If this is correct then waiving/releasing Mann this week and adding Siposs to the PS gives them 3 more weeks of Siposs elevations, who would then be waived/released and Mann resigned to the PS for his "next” three weeks.

If true, the trick is having a bad punter whom no one wants. I think we got one, with another on speed dial.

Agreed.

I am totally convinced we need a new slot receiver next year. Quez is not only miscast in the role, but he’s too one dimensional. A player who is on the field nearly 80% of the snaps just needs to bring more to the table than just deep speed. Maybe we want a guy who is a great blocker who runs good routes and has reliable hands. Maybe we want a speed guy who has home run YAC ability. Or whatever.

Point is, the player needs to be able to do more if he’s on the field this much. I’m really leaning towards a physical YAC type just because of how teams are playing us, but maybe the coaches want a deep threat. Either way, the guy needs at least 2 plus attributes.

Also, I laughed when you used "gruntled.” I maybe see someone use it once every half decade, while "disgruntled” is used every day.

Crazy to think that we went from facing third and 1 at our 34 with 17 seconds left in second quarter to scoring on a one-yard TD run.

Oh he’s still awesome.  But he also isn’t the old Aaron Donald either.

Interesting test for the Eagles Run D this week … Breece Hall is sixth in the NFL for rushing yards with a 7.2 YPC

6th….. and last week was the first week he had no restrictions.

Plus their defense is legit.  It’s going to be a harder game than most think.
