It is Trade time for Howie
Traveler Vic ·Nov 4th is the deadline. It is time to bench Ringo. All the picks next year are wonderful but this years team is sinking. We need to trade for more help. A DE?, a CB?, anything that will help.

Board technical issues
Moderator12 ·Welcome back everyone. I want to give a big thank you to @VaBeach_Eagle for making this happen. He (and I, to a lesser extent) has worked his butt off over the past week to make this happen. And I can promise you, we did our best to get this place set up to mirror the old board for as smooth of a transition as possible. But as you all know, new boards, new problems. In between scrambling to get all the new registrations validated and checking reports, I'll be looking in

The trenches are not as strong this year
Procus ·We're missing Sweat and Williams on the defense, and Becton on the offense. Add in injuries to Dickerson and Johnson on the offense, and Carter on the defense. Not only is there a dropoff in starting talent, there's also a dropoff now in backup talent. Eagles traditionally have built along both lines as the strength of the team. Both lines are weaker - considerably so - and it shows on the field. This is the number one reason why the team is not as strong this year.

Vibes of 2023
time2rock ·This season sure feels a whole lot like 2023 where we were winning early and got off to a great record (even though many of those wins didn't look pretty and really could have gone either way) and then the wheels completely fell off. The biggest difference is this is happening much earlier this year. There is entirely too much talent on offense for this team to be getting completely shut down for entire halves like they are this year, injuries or not. And the defense most definitely has regre

Poll: When will Siri be fired - Fire Siri discussion
Procus ·From the looks of the lay of the land, Sirianni is walking a tightrope this season. If the team stinks it up with this roster and coaching staff, he's got problems. If the offense lights it up and Kellen Moore becomes a hot head coaching commodity, he's got problems. The only way I see this working is if this team wins primarily as a result of being a defensive juggernaut, with the offense not setting the world on fire. Most ways this shakes out, Sirianni is on the hot seat and may not be the he

3 years from now what will our roster look like?
scottr@pictips.com ·We are going to have to start paying the D after next year. Right now we have about 132 million allocated to the offense and 57 to the defense. That will soon change dramatically. How do you see it taking shape?

Lane Johnson gets honest about Eagles' inefficient offense
time2rock ·Lane Johnson gets honest about Eagles' inefficient offense Lane Johnson got honest about the Eagles' inefficient offense after the 34-17 loss to the Giants on Thursday night. By Dave Zangaro • Published October 10, 2025 EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — In the 13th season of his Hall of Fame career, Lane Johnson isn’t afraid to be honest. After the Eagles’ embarrassing 34-17 loss to the Giants at MetLife Stadium, Johnson revealed some truths about the Eagles’ inconsistent, inefficient and stagnant offen

Roob's Observations: Eagles defense gets gashed by rookie QB for 34-17 loss
time2rock ·Roob's Observations: Eagles defense gets gashed by rookie QB for 34-17 loss Sloppy defense and multiple turnovers contributed to the Eagles' second consecutive loss Thursday. By Reuben Frank • Published October 9, 2025 When some rookie running back is doing freaking backflips in your face, yeah, that’s really bad. Giants rookie Cam Skattebo ran for three touchdowns against the Eagles Thursday night at MetLife and did a backflip after each one, and I’m not sure there are more things more humili

Eye Opener
time2rock ·Eye Opener Posted October 10th, 2025 The Eagles lost to the Giants, 34-17. They got out-played by the Giants, a team that was missing key offensive weapons. It wasn’t competitive for the last 10 minutes of game time. This was an embarrassing performance. This was an eye opener. Some fans will **** about the erratic start in September or the loss to Denver. Teams can get off to slow starts. There is no shame in losing to Denver, a team that should be in the postseason this year. Getting beaten

Something Is Off
time2rock ·Something Is Off Posted October 6th, 2025 Tough. Detailed. Together. Normally that would be the core values for Nick Sirianni’s Eagles. This year I would switch that to three things the Eagles are not. Not tough. Not detailed. Not together. One of the obvious ways you judge toughness is the run game. The Eagles are 25th in rushing and 21st in run defense. The rushing would be even worse if not boosted by Jalen Hurts running. Running and stopping the run is about winning the LOS. That means the

Are Eagles opponents tricking Jalen Hurts and the offense?
time2rock ·Are Eagles opponents tricking Jalen Hurts and the offense? Jalen Hurts is killing the blitz. Teams are blitzing him at high rates anyway. And then something changes... By Geoff Mosher PhillyVoice Staff Eric Hartline/Imagn Images Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (1) is sacked by Denver Broncos linebacker Nik Bonitto (15) at Lincoln Financial Field. Why would anyone ever blitz Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts? For years, Hurts has been among the NFL's best at carving up blitzes, with h

Does the Eagles' offense in 2025 actually have an identity?
time2rock ·Does the Eagles' offense in 2025 actually have an identity? The Eagles' offense is far too talented to look as aimless as it has through five games in 2025. By Dave Zangaro • Published October 7, 2025 The Eagles’ offensive identity was clearly defined for most of the 2024 season. They leaned on their elite offensive line and superstar running back. They had the best rushing attack in the NFL and rode it into the playoffs and then to the Super Bowl. And when they needed to pass the ball in the

As a fan...
kiwinavega ·I think I had more fun when we were average. As expectations have risen and we've had success it feels like anything less than a blowout is unsatisfactory. Winning is great. obviously, but success has made following this team (and with this fan base) become more difficult than it needs to be. Yeah, titles are ace. But my goodness, some elements of this fanbase have become so entitled. Are we the late 2000s Pats now?

Will Trump Try To Block The NFL From Playing Games Saturday, Dec. 20?
Wallyhorse ·Would not surprise me given Trump's now-almost 45-year vendetta against the NFL: The Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961 forbids the NFL from having games air outside of their home markets between 6:00 PM Friday and 11:59 PM Saturday starting with the second Friday in September and continuing through the second Saturday in December. Given recent events, including not all NFL teams honoring Charlie Kirk and Bad Bunny being announced as the Super Bowl halftime show, I wonder if Trump would try to ex

Roob's Observations: Eagles' deficiencies pile up in brutal loss to Broncos
time2rock ·Roob's Observations: Eagles' deficiencies pile up in brutal loss to Broncos The Eagles lost their first game of the season, 21-17, to the Broncos. By Reuben Frank • Published October 5, 2025 The Eagles did all the same stuff they have been doing. They couldn’t sustain drives. They committed too many penalties. They couldn’t stop the run. They didn’t pressure consistently enough. They fell apart late in the game. They let a big lead evaporate. They couldn’t convert third downs. They had terribl

Eagles grades by position after crushing loss to Broncos
time2rock ·Eagles grades by position after crushing loss to Broncos Here's the position report card after the Eagles' 21-17 loss to the Broncos in Week 5. By Dave Zangaro • Published October 5, 2025 The Eagles were up two touchdowns in the second half on Sunday before blowing that lead and losing 21-17 to the Broncos at the Linc. The first loss of the season was a fourth-quarter collapse. While the Eagles did some good things on Sunday, they are obviously still struggling to find consistency. And after

Sanchez's drink was obviously spiked
weko ·Mark must have been talking to the girl friends and or wives of other guys at the bar and the dudes spiked his drink. Sanchez left the bar after midnight walked around to the loading dock and randomly attacked a worker there who pepper sprayed him. That didn't stop Mark who violently threw the guy into a dumpster. He was then stabbed and almost died and has no memory of how or where he got stabbed. I reminded both my kids to never leave your drink unattended at a bar. Please do the same f

Bad Ending
time2rock ·Bad Ending Posted October 5th, 2025 The Eagles led 10-3 at halftime. They led 17-3 after three quarters. They lost 21-17. Ugh. What a frustrating loss. The Eagles aren’t a team that generally blows leads. They let Tampa come back part of the way last week, but the Eagles made the critical plays and won. On Sunday the Eagles made critical mistakes and lost. Ugh. Let’s start with a big picture view for a minute. The Eagles just went through a really challenging start to the season. I hoped they
