2026 Free Agency/Trade Tracker (Eagles Related Updates)
time2rock ·The new league year officially starts next week (March 11th) and the "legal tampering period” starts exactly one week from today (March 9th). We’ve already seen announcements of some trades that will be made official on March 11th (e.g. Montgomery traded by Lions to the Texans). Will use this thread to capture all Eagles-related free agency signings (players we sign, our own that sign elsewhere) and any trades we make. ___________________________________________________________________________ -
EMB Blog: 2026 Offseason
Connecticut Eagle ·Offense: Get a seasoned play caller. Elevate the complexity of the passing game and start installing it in the Spring. Fortify the depth of the offensive line. This includes the heir at RT. Get tight ends who can block. Defense: Upgrade CB2 and add depth to the secondary. Contracts: Sign Phillips and maybe bring back one of Ojulari/Okoronkwo/Uche. Let Goedert, Blankenship, and Dean walk. I haven't figured out what to do about extending Carter, Davis, Ojomo, and Nolan. Pending free agen -

What's left for the Eagles to do in free agency?
time2rock ·What's left for the Eagles to do in free agency? The Eagles certainly have pressing areas of need, but will they fill them with more free agents? By Jimmy Kempski PhillyVoice Staff Mark J. Rebilas/Imagn Images Howie Roseman and the Eagles still have work to do in free agency. Before the start of free agency we ranked the top five short-term positional needs for the Eagles to fill with competent players so they didn't have to reach for needs in the draft. Some of our free agents might be cheaper to resign than we thought
twilo73 ·I keep reading articles that Blankenship (around $7M), Goedert (around $6M), and Dean (cheaper than we think because of injury history) that makes me think that moving on from them might not be necessary. I would hate to not resign any of these and then have to trade for someone or pay for lesser talent. Are you guys hearing the same thing? J Philips will obviously be expensive. Fred might fall into the same bucket. Would rather him $2M than pay a bad player $1.5M. -
Has AJ Brown Played His Last Game in an Eagles Uniform?
time2rock ·Curious to know what everyone thinks is going to happen with AJ this offseason. Does he get traded? Seems he was pretty checked out all season and was never more obvious than the WC game this past weekend. Maybe it is time for a change in scenery for him? Maybe they feel his attitude is disrupting team chemistry too much? Or do you think he is back, either because most of that nonsense seems to be overblown or just because the salary cap ramifications make it extremely difficult to do so (o -

Dallas Stays in Philly
time2rock ·Dallas Stays in Philly Posted March 15th, 2026 Finally. No more moving deadlines. The Eagles and Dallas Goedert finally got things figured out on Sunday. Re-signing Goedert was the smart move. It adds a quality TE to the roster. Just as importantly, it saves the Eagles from taking a big cap hit of dead money. Let’s talk about Goedert the player. He went 60-591-11 last year as a receiver. He was outstanding in the red zone. For all of Kevin Patullo’s faults, red zone creativity wasn’t one of -

time2rock ·In Roob's Observations: Making the case for the Eagles trading A.J. Brown Trade talk around A.J. Brown, excitement about Riq Woolen and more Eagles offseason thoughts. By Reuben Frank • Published March 15, 2026 1. I love A.J. Brown the player when he’s at the top of his game and mentally locked in. As far as pure talent, he’s up there with Mike Quick and T.O. as one of the most gifted modern-era WRs we’ve ever seen here. That said, the player we saw last year was not at the top of his game, and

time2rock ·5 takeaways from Riq Woolen's introductory press conference with Eagles New Eagles cornerback Riq Woolen was introduced to Philadelphia in a news conference on Thursday afternoon. By Dave Zangaro • Published March 13, 2026 The first thing that stands out about Riq Woolen? He’s tall. Really tall. The Eagles’ newest cornerback is every bit of 6-foot-4 and that was obvious as he walked toward the stage on Thursday in the auditorium at the team’s Jefferson Health Training Complex. We could see h

Howie the Juggler
time2rock ·Howie the Juggler Posted March 14th, 2026 Howie Roseman is a great general manager. He’s made some terrific trades over the years. He has had some great draft picks. He’s also done a really good job with free agency signings. Howie and his staff have done a great job of working the salary cap to give the Eagles every advantage. All this work led to three Super Bowl appearances and two wins over the last decade. Right now Howie is facing a couple of very tough situations. He’s got the AJ Brown -

Do you pay 2 DTs $60,000,000 combined a year?
weko ·The cap went up 7.9% for next year to 301 million. Assuming a similar increase for 2027, that would make it 325 million. 60 million would comprise 18 1/2 % of the cap for two players at the same position, with that percentage expected to decrease as the cap continues to rise If you're offered two 1s a 2 and a good player, or something similar, do you make the deal? Or do you sign Carter for $140 million for 4 years with 80 guaranteed?

time2rock ·5 thoughts on Eagles' addition of Riq Woolen in free agency Here are five thoughts about the Eagles' addition of Riq Woolen in free agency on a one-year deal. By Dave Zangaro • Published March 11, 2026 The Eagles made a splash on Tuesday when they landed former Seattle cornerback Riq Woolen on a one-year deal that’s reportedly worth up to $15 million. After a very quiet Day 1 of free agency, that was a big addition on Day 2 and will bolster a secondary that already has a couple of All-Pros in -
Double Dip at TE
time2rock ·Double Dip at TE Posted March 10th, 2026 Howie Roseman didn’t stop after signing CB Riq Woolen earlier today. He went right back to work, adding a pair of TEs to the roster. The Eagles signed Johnny Mundt, who was just cut by the Jags. Mundt is 6-4, 243 so he’s not the biggest guy in the world, but he is a good blocker. Yes, you read that right. The Eagles finally signed a blocking TE. Howie admitted he needed to re-think the way the TE room had been built in recent years. They needed a blocke -

Officially Official
time2rock ·Officially Official Posted March 11th, 2026 The new league year began at 4pm on Wednesday, meaning signings, cuts and trades would finally be official. The Eagles didn’t make any new moves, but did make the signings of Riq Woolen, Johnny Mundt and Grant Calcaterra official. I was hoping the Eagles would be able to sign edge rusher Bradley Chubb. time2rock ·Report: Eagles asking price for A.J. Brown is 'too high' Report: Eagles telling NFL teams don't bother making an offer for A.J. Brown unless they're "blown away." By Geoff Mosher PhillyVoice Staff Colleen Claggett/for PhillyVoice Are the Eagles intentionally setting a price tag too high for A.J. Brown to avoid trading him? One way to show you're not truly interested in trading away a player unless you're getting blown away by an offer is by setting an absurdly high asking price. That's appar
