Mason was killed during the exchange of the baby for Wendy

I think the building is the one that Marty uses for business. The one with the glass door meeting rooms

Bartender ODed by the drugs the agent was giving her

If you're caught up in the show then you can look for the answers

Was the glass building the same one from a flash back in the last episode or 2?  I caught up on it over the weekend, but haven't done a rewatch yet.

That new trailer does look good....

Looked like flashback with his original business oartner in Chicago, who Navarro’s men killed early season 1 when they slid Marty into the lead dog role

That makes. I knew I recognised him, but didn't want to spoil the rest of the series by doing it.

First episode was great!

Didn't like the ending

Spoiler

They really went a strong female empowerment after the first season

It was annoying as hell how Wendy would do something that Marty had to fix

Ruth was an ungrateful crap

Kids running rampant because Marty and Wendy treated them like adults

The actress who played Charlotte took a back seat for a while there

Jonah was a kid yet could do whatever he wanted and screwed the family over many times

They could have just told Omar but Wendy wanted to put his sister in power

I agree with most but they covered the last part pretty well why they couldn’t

I also agree the ending was a disappointment

I didn’t like how they crammed what should be almost another season into the last 10 mins. Omar getting killed should have been a huge deal. Ruth getting killed should have been a ginormous deal especially with Marty knowing he didnt do anything to stop it. Jonah killing a man should also be a huge deal with how Marty and Wendy deal with that. Just felt too rushed.

Biggest dislike with the Netflix model. I’ve only seen the first episode of this final season drop, and instead of us all being able to discuss it for a week, I have to watch all the remaining episodes before it’s safe to read/post about it, which means this will just get watered down in the mix of everything less that I’m sure happens that I haven’t seen yet

It was definitely rushed because Netflix is losing money big time and has take a few series and instead of making two full seasons they call it season 4 vol 1 and 2, because when it hits the next season there are accelerators in the payrolls for actors and production crews.  Simply put it’s cheaper for them.  Stranger things is the same way.

as far as ozark. Wasn’t a huge fan of the ending.  They really didn’t get out of anything. They’re still stuck working for Camilla. She owns them. [\spoiler]

Yup

I’m assuming Marty takes over Ruth’s deal with the FBI where he is still laundering but legally. And with Wendy’s role in the foundation, they are politically in control of the Midwest so in a way they "won”. Camilla also seems to be a much more reasonable person than Omar. I just think the fallout should have been fleshed out a lot more. Having the last scene presumably be your 15 year old son kill someone should have major consequences. I also think it was bad to open the series with Wendy cheating on Marty, constantly making side deals without telling him and constantly undercutting him in life just for the payoff to be Marty punches some random guy in the face but they stay together and everything is fine. I was really expecting there to be a breaking point moment where Marty schemed something against Wendy.

We're only up to ep.10.  From ep.9 and 10, no way the police wouldn't have

Spoiler

searched every inch of that property, including the barn, and found all of Darlene's heroin just laying there on the table, when they were called because Wyatt and Darlene were murdered.

Stayed up way too late last night finishing it. I didn't hate the ending like I did with so many other series (I'm still not over the ending to the Dexter reboot which was the worst ever).

Spoiler

I agree that it felt rushed. The very end seemed weird. Jonah went from hating the family, to wanting to go "legit", to cold blooded killer in like one episode.

Why did they stick in the bit with the car accident? It made zero sense.

I didn't feel bad for Ruth. She killed the head of a Mexican drug cartel. Marty pleaded with her to go home and not do it and she didn't listen.

Spoiler

The entire series has shown how Marty solves problems that come his way (usually from Ruth or his family). So it wouldn't have been out of line for Marty so somehow come up with a solution to it too

Looks like everyone is using spoilers. Just simply state the episode and discuss

Ruth killing him didn't happen like the trailer so maybe they had to keep something the same. I agree it was pointless

In regards to the car crash

Spoiler

A car crash is what started everything in Ozark. Wendy had a miscarriage which led to her depression which eventually led Marty to start money laundering. It probably has some hidden greater meaning that I can't think of, but at the least, the series starts and ends with a car accident.

Spoiler

The last few episodes, and in particular the very end, felt super rushed and cheap, as some have mentioned.  They spent like 2 full episodes focusing on Ruth's feelings about Wyatt being killed but blew through major plot points at the very end like they were nothing.  The second half of the final season was done very poorly.  Also - even if that cop did find Ben in the cookie jar, he obtained the evidence illegally by breaking into their house to get it.  It would be inadmissable in court.  Just overall really disappointed with how such a great show ended.

Spoiler

Where did Omar's sister come from?  If she was to be in the end of the series she should have been in it earlier.  I thought Wendy might kill her Dad.  I didn't like the Rachel gal coming back at all.  Good but not as good as previous seasons.  I agree it was rushed to a conclusion.

I loved Marty punching that dude.  That scene was epic.  He was most definitely envisioning Wendy’s face and she knew it. 😂

I believe the car accident was set up by the priest.  He threw shade at Wendy about it saying how many times does "god” needs to message her.  He also said previously there are some messages he doesn’t deliver, but maybe this one he did?

I thought the same thing about the cookie jar evidence.  Inadmissible and didn’t prove anything.  Maybe he died, someone sent the body back, and they cremated him.  I’m sure Marty could paper trail that very easily.

I don’t remember Camilla being seen before this season. So to have her thrown in to the last handful of episodes is very forced and as soon as she was introduced I knew immediately how this was all going to go.  No surprise twist like they had hoped.  Marty told her about the SDN list and then the next day it’s off the table, I thought he cleverly did that on purpose to smoke her out but the way they played it made him seem careless and dumb which is not his character at all.  So bad story line there IMO.

Ruth had it coming. Marty tried everything to pro text her, more than his own kids at times, but she can’t her anyone over her own screaming and carrying on.  Plus she doesn’t know crap about F and it shows. 😂

Spoiler

I don't think they could have really introduced her any earlier without just being "here's Camilla, Omar's sister". Even Omar himself is only in what, 2 seasons?

Rachel coming back didn't make any sense to me. And why her and Ruth had such a strong bond all of a sudden. You'd think any sane person would get the F out of there at the first hint of a death threat from a Cartel Hitman.

I liked the ending. Last threads covered and...

Spoiler

The final end to Jonah's innocence, paired with the wide open future.

Ruth went out like a boss but her just getting out of the car like‘’let’s get this over with’’ rang hollow. She was a survivor and usually had a gun so I’m not buying it. She would have gone down fighting. Same with Omar. Marty should have taken the shotgun from Jonah and done it himself.

I thought the 2nd to last ep was great, it really set things up nicely. The last ep wasn’t bad, it was just disjointed at times and full of holes. That said, any ending will seem better when compared to Game of Thrones where the producers and writers were just trying to get it over with.

I liked the ending. Thought it was at least as good as Breaking Bad’s.

it’s a shame Ruth died, but frankly it was fitting, she brought it on herself, and it was pretty realistic she’d get whacked at some point.
