Well.... until he slumps.

As a Braves fan outside looking in he looks clutch to me can’t be clutch 100% of the time but I would call him clutch. It’s what we lack and were exposed.

I tend to agree that the Sirianni hate over the last few days is a little over the top, imo.

It's not hate.  It is criticism.   It seems that folks don't know the difference.  Criticism, in and of itself, does not constitute hate.   My wife criticized my choice of clothing, does that mean she hates me?   No.  It means she thinks that I shouldn't wear jeans to a particular event, it is a wrong decision.   Not hate.  Criticism.  And I appreciate her for it.

Now, how does that relate to Sirianni?   He's giving moronic answers regarding what happened and why they called a particular play.   Give foolish answers, get called out on it.  That's not hate, that's accountability.  And this team supposedly thrives on its ability to hold itself accountable.

And this team DESERVES to be criticized.   They've lost 3 straight games.  They've looked bad doing it in each of the 3.   People gave them the benefit of the doubt, mostly, for the first 2 because of 'the gauntlet', and the 'extra rest', etc.   Well, no more excuses.  Time to be accountable.

He was clutch up until the world series last year.

This year clutch wasnt needed in the 1st round, and he wasnt clutch in either series after that. He did nothing at the plate. The young guys won them the second series. And he did nothing in the championship round.

He is clutch often. But like Embiid, so far he wasnt clutch at all when it mattered most.

As I said in the 6ers thread last night, Embiid currently has an asterisk for post-season disappointment. But if anyone isnt following the 6ers closely right now, youre missing some truly historic stuff. He is now cementing his legacy among the all time greats.

In the past you could brush off his regular season feats as not mattering because he isnt reliable in the post-season. But this year, it would be a shame not to enjoy what he is doing on a nightly basis because you are witnessing history being made.

Embiid at least makes the playoffs

I'd argue that luck has a lot to do with health too. They took all of those precautions by not having OTA's, minicamps and a light TC yet STILL got banged up. I want to prepare the best I can despite the risks. Players are going to get hurt. I'd rather them be fundamentally sound and a great tackling team.

Rather them get hurt reg season than preseason. Started off 10-1. Not sure what more you want.

@mattwill

Eagles 27 Giants 20 , unless Cowboys lose.  Then Eagles blow lead in last minute of game by Giants Hail Mary pass.

Why would you rather guys get hurt during the season?

Yes, but you have to really really suck to not make the playoffs in the east

Because those games actually count. Further the guys that you probably wanted to have had the most work in pre-season games did get the work due to playing in the pre-season games. Starters got most of their work practicing against other teams during the pre-season. Not worth the risk putting them out there in preseason games now that there are 17 games and one less playoff bye. Especially the older guys.

Is it though?

Was it last year or was it Steichen?  Because it seems awfully different from last year.

I would say fundamentally it's the same but it's really not being put together into a cohesive gameplan and there's definitely a large deficiency in situational playcalling.

Did she let you wear your regular white New Balance sneakers or did you have to change into the black ones?

I don't believe much of what these coaches say including Sirianni.

Most of the time they are just trying to get thru press conferences and don't want to be there anyway.

I'll have to check with her.

Merry Christmas to everyone in the blog!

Hope the Eagles don't ruin it🙈

This game is only fun when you’re winning.

They were winning all but one game until the 49ers and this place was still miserable.

We're always miserable.   Its our nature.
