Poor Reub had it rough yesterday. I think this is in response to him wondering if he should leave the platform. He claims his feed is porn and bitcoin...but isn't your feed a direct result of search history?

Yeah the feed is pretty much based on similar people you follow and similar things to tweets you post.

I still need to grt around to calling in the next time he's on the radio to make fun of how soft he is with his instant blocks on Twitter.

Friday Morning Predictions Update

25 predictions recorded thus far.  22 for an Eagles win and 3 for a Cardinals win.  The Average Predicted Score is Eagles 31 Cardinals 20, which is very close to the Eagles -10.5 vs. Cardinals line put up by Las Vegas.

As always, please tag your prediction post with @mattwill that way I will be sure to see/record it.  Score predictions can also have an optional "Bonus Pick" tiebreaker prediction.  So far over the course of the season 142 different EMB posters have made at least one prediction.

A list of the predictions is presented below, sorted alphabetically by the name of the predictor.  If you don't see your name there, then I either missed yours or you haven't submitted one yet.

28-20 good guys

Nolan Smith sack

We played a ton of 12/13 against the Giants. That solves the WR 3 issues. Also makes it easier to run the ball.

This is the right approach against any non-49ers team we face in the NFC.

I dont know, Carter hit that wall after the first 4 games?

Not believing it.

This might be the dumbest thing I've ever read. Bo Wolf actually took the time to do this. This is a guy who has access to players and he comes up with this?

mini. definitely shorter, lighter, worse jumper.

But the best attribute of McCaffrey is the agility,  the great 3 cone,  and Covey has numbers with the agility and speed that are about the same.

It seems to me that much of what McCaffrey does is outside runs quickly, often from pitches, often from Purdy under center and McCaffrey at tailback. The Eagles could have Covey doing that same stuff.

You approaching football like its a D&D campaign.

I never read his work or listen to his podcast but he always comes across as a complete and total clown to me. Some people clearly enjoy it though. I guess I don't share the humor.

It's definitely being overstated in here as an excuse.  These guys are both first round picks and have to be able to perform for the <50% of the snaps they're on the field for.  Neither of them are averaging 40 snaps per game over the course of the year.  They had a bunch of snaps one game against BUF; that was a one-off.

I really wanted to give PHLY a shot but it is totally awful, so many ads and so little meat

I listen to Charlie O'Connor for the Flyers and that's pretty much it. It's been disappointing otherwise.

Hilarious that two of the worst local media members are getting clowned on the same page. Just need McClane to write another TMZ type article about turmoil in the org and we'll be set

Yea I looked into it for Charlie as well but it's more expensive than the athletic, which I also subscribed to for Charlie and the flyers but at least was good with eagles and Phillies stuff for a while. It fell off in those areas too so canceled when he left. Just like crossing broad, right after he left it was just no substance

If there’s a DT dominating O-Linemen, teams will  adjust - double teams, etc.

Need to take a look at how often Carter is double teamed during his snaps vs just snaps.

His snaps also became double teams after a few games. That has to wear you out

That's a separate discussion.  Carter was getting a lot of double-teams as early as Week 2; there were videos posted here showing all of his snaps.

The reason many posters in here have given for the DL is that Carter and Davis are "gassed", which I disagree with.  Aaron Donald is double-teamed constantly yet seldom looks "gassed"

X's and Reubs dynamic:

Who are the starting LBs this weekend - Cunningham back in the middle with Leonard on the outside (or does Morrow get back in ahead Leonard when healthy?)...

Yeah let’s compare a rookie who has played a total of 15 games in his entire career with Hall of Fame DT.  Not quite there yet and he shouldn’t be expected to be there yet.

Well it's not Jeff McLane but the even worse Marcus Hayes. Damn you fans who go to the game. Don't you know to shut up!

We don't even have a good TE2...that just turns the WR 3 issue into a TE 2 issue.  It puts another blocker on the field, but also puts another LB on the field.  It's all a give and take.

Fans are just trying to prep them for playing on the road in the playoffs.

The fact that JC is drawing double teams from the jump is amazing -  of course, everyone can't be doubled so the other DTs need to take advantage of the OL attention being elsewhere (ie, JD should overwhelm single blocks, Fletch/Milton have a 2-way go in addition to a 1v1 bull rush), and schematically the DC should be able to run games to counter this tendency.

Schmoopie brought this article up last night.  At the game vs San Fran I was surprised our section was standing almost the entire time.  However, our section wasn't making noise and actively shutting up the few overzealous fans that didn't know to keep a lid on it.  And given the game atmosphere was really heated going into it AND there were quite a few niners fans there, I was surprised it really wasn't louder than it was in those situations.

TL;DR:  No idea where that take is coming from

12 personnel + pistol gives a very balanced look where all the gaps are available in the run game - which I would think makes play action stronger.
