I sure wish that best owner was the best owner for the 76ers. Is the process actually Fing over yet?

He's been a great owner for the 76ers.  Saved the franchise.

IF you move on from Nick (which I don't think will happen), you almost have to hire one of 3 guys: Belichick, Vrabel or Harbaugh. You can't bring in an inexperienced coach and sell that to the locker room and the fan base. If you make the change, you're saying we have a roster built to win now, and we can't have guys learning on the job. You have to make a CLEAR upgrade to an experienced head coach -- basically, we couldn't pass on the chance to hire this guy.

Belichick and Hurts might be a very strong duo. But I just don't see it happening.

Absolutely Fing not. Belichick and Howie going anywhere near each other will tear the team apart. Neither of them will put up with the other shoving them aside, and Belichick is coming from a situation in which he had total control for pretty much two decades, to the point where that was ultimately his downfall. Howie is very much about analytics, and so is the organization, and Belichick is literally as far from that as they come.

On top of that, basically the entire team will need to be torn apart because of the hatred of the 'Patriot Way' which was expressed from multiple players over the last few years. That way is Belichick's way, and Vrabel is known for it by extension. The idea of having a 'roster built to win now' won't work when your vets all retire due to the above. Harbaugh is ALSO a guy who will almost certainly despise analytics.

I feel like all three of those candidates would have extremely limited lifespans, and would be questionable fits at best. Harbaugh might have a chance (as the implosion might take a while), but the others are organizational suicide unless you plan to rip apart the front office and toss Howie out of the building too. Which I just can't see happening.

Yeah except remove that blue route

If the Eagles beat the  Bucs I  could see Bowels being fired , and Bucs bringing belichick on

I think he goes somewhere with a QB or a place with the draft position to get one.

Kelce gets his 6th 1st team All Pro.

Should have never let him go.

Out of all the head coaches I see available, I am most intrigued by Mike McDonald and Bobby Slowik. I don't really see the other big names as anything that impressive, mostly just retreads.

Todd Monken wouldn't be a bad option if you're looking to bring in guys for interviews.

Washington doing smart things now is very frustrating.

Except where he didn't want to pay his employees during COVID until Embiid made him look like an idiot and wanted to pay them. Great owner

Alshon still seems pretty plugged in.  One thing I took from the fracas on the sidelines with Sirianni is he seems at the end of his patience with the defensive coaches.  Was it D.J. Eliot he had words with?  There could be a total changeover on that side of the ball.

I consider myself to be very objective, especially when it comes to DAL football team.,  maybe that was a typo...idk

@myersthemanand @EagleJoe8 I spend time here because I enjoy discussing football in general and the people here have been really cool and accepting of me to this point. This is one of two boards I am a memeber of, the other is a Texas HS board which isn't very active, especially since the saeason is over.

I am not a member of any DAL board because the majority of those boards have members who are not lifelong true fans...they are bandwaggoners from success 3 decades ago and aren't realistic or truly knowledgeble of the game IMO, and I get tired of hearing "We Dem Boyz" or whatever their annual mantra is. I am just a football fan.

I admit that I have likely become too comfortable here and probably have been interacting/posting too much in the last few weeks. I'll chill. Ya'll have a cool community and a great fanbase, my intent was never to make anyone here feel intruded upon, so I'll apologize for that now, I am sorry folks.

I hope so. I’m gonna be sick to my stomach if there aren’t major changes on the defensive side of the staff starting with Patricia. Want nothing to do with him returning.

Not a typo.  Objectionable.  (adjective)  meaning - arousing distaste or opposition; unpleasant or offensive.

You are not objectionable.

I was just ball busting. I’ve no issues with you here. Before we were a fan run board, we used to have other teams fans on here in bigger numbers. One guy Stephen was also a Dallas fan. Good dude and we had a lot of ball busting moments with him too.

Jason Kelce is a 6-time 1st team all-pro. I remember in the Chip Kelly era when he was nearly the most hated player on this board

That’s now three times as many as Markice Pouncey, the player voted Center of the 2010’s decade over him. Twice as many as Jason Peters & Trent Williams, and now equal in number to Joe Thomas.

Everything he does is engagement bait. He doesn't have a take that he doesn't think will get him attention.

You’ve done nothing wrong. In fact, you’ve added intelligent conversation.

Carry on.

It'd be the height of stupidity not to bring Pierce back.  The team responded to Bisaccia and they passed him over for Josh McDaniels, which was a disaster.  Again, the locker room has rallied behind an interim coach.  Are the Raiders the team chasing Harbaugh?

No need to chill. As far as opposing fans go, you're one of the better ones, imo. Usually other fans come here to troll or talk ish, but you haven't done any of that, you just wanna talk football, which is refreshing.
