Give him assurances they will NOT be trading the pick and let the turd play another year of college football -- all while they had no intention of using the first overall pick on him anyway.

I consider myself to be very objective, especially when it comes to DAL football team.,  maybe that was a typo...idk

@myersthemanand @EagleJoe8 I spend time here because I enjoy discussing football in general and the people here have been really cool and accepting of me to this point. This is one of two boards I am a memeber of, the other is a Texas HS board which isn't very active, especially since the saeason is over.

I am not a member of any DAL board because the majority of those boards have members who are not lifelong true fans...they are bandwaggoners from success 3 decades ago and aren't realistic or truly knowledgeble of the game IMO, and I get tired of hearing "We Dem Boyz" or whatever their annual mantra is. I am just a football fan.

I admit that I have likely become too comfortable here and probably have been interacting/posting too much in the last few weeks. I'll chill. Ya'll have a cool community and a great fanbase, my intent was never to make anyone here feel intruded upon, so I'll apologize for that now, I am sorry folks.

@mattwill

PHI - 24

TB - 17

PHI defense gets it right to open the postseason...

Peace.

He can always just go back to USC then and just take the NIL money.

With NIL, he could make more in 2024 at USC than with the Bears.

If I were the Bears, I'd just say that they don't discuss their interest in specific players in the draft publicly... and they generally don't make any public statements about non-draft eligible players.  They will do their due diligence on all players who are eligible for the draft and will do what is best for the Chicago Bears' organization.   I would not even hint whether or not they intended to draft him or not, or if they intend to trade the pick or not.   He's got no say in the matter.  He can pull a Bo Jackson if he wants to though.

Why not just do what happened with Eli?

I haven't studied any draft prospects yet, but from what I have seen I come away unimpressed by Williams.  Too much freelance, improv, and for a guy with a plus arm his mechanics are bad.  I'd sooner trade out than draft him #1 -- but if I was the Bears I wouldn't say so just to sooth his angst.

Please don't end up in Washington or the Giants.

All I know is Nick Wright is high on him, so he's 100% gonna be a bust

😆

1. No jinx intended...just don't see the NFCE losing to the NFCS, especially in TB without Brady.

2. Thx

3. On occasion they have been known to do exactly that. They don't do it for a living so they have that going for them, on second thought maybe the incoming revenue gets tight in January and they need the money? There is a trend there 😂

Watch this happen, but we stick with Patricia

All while Wilson was able to spend one year in Baltimore with a team who values defense and LB. The Giants tend to draft well on defense or at least draft super athletic guys. The right DC can have that defense buzzin.

Didn't Elway basically do the same thing or similar? Never really liked him for that.

The only reason I'm even a little hopeful for the Birds is the fact that he is once again calling them dead. Just like he did at the start of his "career" as a talking head in 2017.

I expected to lose to the Falcons in 2017. I flew in for the game against the Vikings and expected to lose. I will admit -- when I went to Minnesota, after Foles lit up the Vikings, I actually believed we could win.

Is he really the best for the job? Seems a bit rushed to me. Ink isn't even dry on Saban's retirement papers. This isn't like the NFL where you know the coaching pool is going to dry up. Bama literally had their pick of the litter. You'd think they want to take their time. Maybe he's been their guy all along and they knew Saban was walking months ago.

Same.  I thought we might be one and done vs the Falcons and going into the Vikings upon seeing the pumped up crowd thought "Why, we are about to get our s*** pushed in". But after that game I 100% believed we were getting it done vs the Falcons.  My (soon to be ex) brother in law asked "You guys getting it done".  I said "Yeah, I don't know how, but it's happening".

This is different.  I'm watching this game 50% out of habit and 50% out of obligation as a fan.  But I couldn't be less excited for a playoff game.
