No.   Read it carefully... as no one seems to be able to in the national media...

https://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/nfl-rulebook/#article-16-horse-collar-tackle

No player shall grab the inside collar of the back or the side of the shoulder pads or jersey, or grab the jersey at the name plate or above, and pull the runner toward the ground. This does not apply to a runner who is in the tackle box or to a quarterback who is in the pocket.

Reddick FIRST grabbed the FRONT of Allen's jersey, and maintained control of that grasp of the jersey (as evidenced by the jersey ripping).
Reddick as he's taking Allen to the ground puts his hand on the name plate (correct), but there is no PULL on the nameplate but rather a PUSH on the nameplate as he continued to pull Allen to the ground by the front of his jersey.  In other words, while there was CONTACT on the nameplate, the direction of the force was in the wrong direction.   The pulling hand was not the one on the nameplate, and therefore, there is no foul for a horse collar tackle.

Apparently,  I am out of likes from yesterday.  You are right.

Bills fans are melting down about it.  It was absolutely the right call.  First, Reddick does not look like he has a grip on the back of the jersey. He has his arm there but his fist is closed and I don't see the jersey in his grasp.  The second point is that the only thing he could have been doing with that back arm is pushing him.  He was pulling him with the other arm.

Are they also bringing up the Josh Allen flop?

I see this nonsense on social media, too.  The purpose of the horsecollar rule was the prevent guys from getting pulled to the ground from the back, which is a dangerous tackle.  That's not what Reddick did here.  Romo is stirring the pot for this one, and he's a tool.  The 'non-fumble' in OT also wasn't that close.

Yup

Hate Romo... gaslit controversial calls that weren't all that controversial at all just to hear himself talk.

Embiid and Harden couldn't be more proud. He learned from watching Jalen Carter lol. "What would LeBron do?"

Rebutting the narrative that Reich and Flip were the reason for Pederson's early success.

I never really thought of it as a "this guy or that guy was the reason” for their success in 2017.  They worked well together as a coaching unit.  It’s possible that both Pederson and Reich are darn good coaches.  I still think highly of Reich…being fired by two impatient owners does nothing to change my opinion.

There's something to be said for how they are winning these games in the most excruciating, yet satisfying way possible in the end. It's going to take a lot to knock this team out of the playoffs. You need big-game experience, an efficient, composed quarterback, and to really play four good quarters. This team can get away with only playing two quarters of good football. I don't know if there's another team that can succeed with that method against them. Shanahan is historically a poor big-game coach, who knows what Purdy looks like in a big game, Dallas is still dangerous but they've had their flaws in big moments as well.

This team is battle tested, has veteran leaders who have won a Super Bowl, has a quarterback that went toe-to-toe on the biggest stage last season with Mahomes, a coach that is 27-2 in his last 29, guys like DeVonta, Jalen Carter, and Jordan Davis who have collegiate, big-game, championship level experience. They're built for big games and big moments. They can win a dozen different ways: with the lead, from behind, passing, running, down two scores in the second half, negative differential on turnovers, putting up a stinker in the first half, grinding out the clock in the second half, etc. There aren't a lot of other teams that can do that.

Jeff really needs to open up the wallet and get Frank in the Vic consultant role ASAP. That could end up being the biggest acquisition of the year. He knows how to create plans to put the QB in the best position to succeed. Johnson isn't cutting it and it could be the difference this year.

Final six possessions...TD, TD, TD, Punt, FG, TD.

How do you define "position to succeed"?

Or the DT that threw Jurgens over the pile?  Or the same DT that launched himself at Jurgens on a shove and rolled towards Hurts' knees?   Or Hyde for his soccer style tackle attempt to take out Hurts' ankles on the TD in OT?

Of course not... because when the officiating narrative begins, the team on the losing side is the only one negatively impacted.

First six possessions... Punt, TD, INT, Punt, Punt, Fumble

The two turnovers were on Hurts IMO.

@mattwill

Eagles 31

49ers 24

Offense rushes over 150. Defense gets 2 ints. 49ers do some more crying after the game

So no consideration for adjusting the game plan to account for Lane's absence?

Also, he doesn't have turnover plays on his call sheet.

Spot on. Exactly what I was saying during the game yesterday.

Because they knew all 8 runners in that race were juiced, and that Johnson should get that medal back.

@Diehardfan needs to keep the pressure on Brian Johnson all week.  Starting day of the game isn't cutting it.  He has to get on him now so we are not sleepwalking as an offense in the first half.
