Well that sucked!  I feel like one of the residents of Mudville.  But the show must go on ... no rest for the weary.  The clear winner of the chicken dinner this week is @dawkins4prez who correctly predicted the 49ers' 42 points, and was only 3 off with his Eagles' prediction of 22 points.

Word on the street is that on the flight back to SF, Purdy ordered an apple and a cherry turnover.   At least, that's what my spies are telling me.

One point for the whole Dom/Greenlaw thing.  The Zebras let a lot of pre-game stupidity go, so passions were up in the game  Ultimately, they could have nipped some stupidity in the bud very early on, but let it simmer and that incident was where it boiled over.

Not the reasons the Eagles lost but they need to be smarter with games like that knowing one side in particular will be chippy.  Fair play  Sitorianni for being the bigger man, but if Dom is being fairly punished, it's also fair ask from the Eagles ask to why the Zebras let it get there in the first place.

If the play design is strong, Ertz usually gets open relatively quickly on slants.  Should be an easy and fast read for Hurts, if Ertz is open.

Leonard hasn’t been the same since his back surgery. Why would the Colts let him go if he was still any good? He looked terrible with the Colts.

Designed runs not that option stuff that can be a pass or Hurts 2 yard run.

Nah.  He just turned 33 and has been decent when healthy.  He’s a TE (Not a WR) whose strengths are great route running and good hands.  Those are skills that don’t require a ton of speed if he has lost a step - which remains to be seen. 

 

Denial.  He was clearly on the backend of his career at the end here and has been awful after that first season with the Cardinals.  No surprise that after doing nothing this year that after cut the Cardinals rookie TE immediately goes off.

There is no evidence to suggest that he isn't washed at this point in his career.  He wouldn't be some redzone target here either.  There will no scenarios where he leap frogs AJ, DeVonta and Goedert as passing options in or outside of the redzone.  His role and number of targets here if signed epupd be extremely limited.
